Reviews for Villa Nam Song

Review 1:Many activities to do but not many advices. It is probably normal because of the important number of shops selling sport activities in the city

Review 2:The location is perfect if you want a quiet environment and be close to the city center. All the water activities finish in front of the hotel.

Review 3:The food in the restaurant was only okay. However the breakfast buffet was good and varied and from the restaurant you get a fantastic view of the early morning mist rising off the karst.

Review 4:Villa nam song is in a quiet and beautiful location just on the river and away from the noisier bars in the centre of town. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. I was able to get washing done for a very reasonable sum of money and it was returned same day. Much better than dripping clothes in the bathroom. I'd definitely stay here again. Good value for money.

Review 5:Not really the hotel fault but other client speak very loud in the morning

Review 6:Staff is really nice: help us following an motorbike accident, restaurant view is amazing:view on the hills

Review 7:- the alley to hotel is very very bad and dangerous - the room especailly the bed and bathroom wasn't clean. - no warm water you have choose between hot or cold water - the internet was terrible - the breakfast was no variety

Review 8:next to nam song river goodview

Review 9:Rooms are quite dark, even with lights on. Thin walls means sound travels easily from other rooms. We had a particularly noisy neighbour one night.

Review 10:Good restaurant and friendly staff. Location on the Nam Song is perfect, at the quieter end of town, but close enough to walk to main area.

Review 11:The bathroom tiles were worse for wear.

Review 12:Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to look after their guests. The location was excellent, on the river and in town!

Review 13:We chose the hotel because of the good recommendations, but we were really disappointed, the room completly overprized with 100US per night, poor, tiny bath room, no safe in the room wifi never worked the whole 3 days, staff is uninspired and not very helpful, breakfast only basic

Review 14:good location close to the river, nice garden

Review 15:Vang Vieng, the town is like a shanty town with broken pavements and a dirt-track road. It offered nothing to the tourist but the surrounding countryside does.

Review 16:Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff good food. Great views of the river Nam Song and the surrounding hills. Well worth a visit.

Review 17:Security issue. local people can easily enter the villa and drink beer in the garden. I can often see local people chatting and playing even in front of the rooms. Reception was closed at night.

Review 18:Calm Location Nice view closed to river

Review 19:no breakfast included. room not so prefect.

Review 20:Perfect location next to Nan Song River. nice view from the resturant. very nice garden. there is one staff really help and play nice music for us. generally is good.

Review 21:The manager was great, friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. The location on the river is excellent, ask for a river view room, sit on the porch and watch the world go by. Also the hotel is far enough out of town to be away from the "night activity" but close enough to stroll into town for dinner, shopping etc.

Review 22:Beautiful location on the river side and spectacular view on the mountains. Big terrace for breakfast and beautiful gardens. Close to the main interest points, restaurants and bars

Review 23:The town was dirty and ramshackle.

Review 24:Beautiful garden setting on the river, not far from town and yet far enough to be peaceful. The meals we ate at the hotel were some of the best in town and nowhere else can compete for the views at reasonable price. We thought this a well run, friendly business.

Review 25:- hot water shower didn't work at all - the hotel itself is riverside but you can't actually see the river from your room

Review 26:- comfort bed & beautiful room

Review 27:The design of the room does not allow too much light inside. There should be a additional ceiling light near the window to make it more comfortable.

Review 28:Awesome place with super views, nice garden, good restaurant, location great, friendly staff. It was a pleasure. Great verandas to sit outside with Ceiling fan above in tropical garden with awesome mountain view. Just a great place. Enjoy :-)

Review 29:The only person speaking English is at the reception. Internet is not great in the rooms.

Review 30:I loved the location just on the river. The room was nice a spaceous.

Review 31:Ant attack! (But that's not the hotels fault really!)

Review 32:Location excellent, quiet yet handy with town. Dinner and breakfast very good. Staff were friendly. River facing room with chairs outside to relax on.

Review 33:no TV in the room we were in and there is no pool. But the river is 10 sec from the hotel so it's not too bad. Wifi was a bit unstable

Review 34:Daryl the manager is fantastic. He will call the local travel agencies for you to sort out any problems. Great staff, all friendly. Very accommodating. It's just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy Vang Vieng. Breakfast is fabulous.

Review 35:Bathroom was not very clean, under the bed wasn't clean, walls were very thin, could hear neighbours being sick in the night! Food was adequate, nothing special.

Review 36:Location is perfect and view from restaurant is spectacular!

Review 37:Make sure you have a bungalow with a view across the river! We had the last bungalow in the row and we didn't see the river. You pay the same for all bungalows.

Review 38:Tiny bathroom, low water pressure, no WiFi in riverside room available, no safe in room, (too) high price

Review 39:Nice room, very clean, beautiful garden, picturesque view, delicious breakfast buffet,

Review 40:The staff weren't very helpful getting tours but the town is close and the people in there are great.

Review 41:The view was amazing. It was right at the perfect spot for tubing and kayaking.

Review 42:Rooms are ok but nothing special, bathroom small but at least everything clean so nothing to worry.

Review 43:Nice garden and good view to river and mountains. Restaurant for dinner quite good, breakfast ok.

Review 44:The breakfast was rather poor: not much choice and not very good. Wifi was not strong enough and internet connection unstable

Review 45:The staff was kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and location of the hotel is great.

Review 46:Nothing.

Review 47:Right on the river with beautiful gardens and views. The restaurant on the premises was the best in town. Staff were all great. The gardener was really sweet and Daryl the manager was fantastic. The I house massage was excellent; best we'd had in Laos. Would return in a heart beat.

Review 48:No curtains to block the light from getting in .... Breakfast can be improved the restaurant is a bit expensive

Review 49:Very helpful staff the garden is a gem the view is breathtaking

Review 50:Bathroom is basic but perfectly fine.

Review 51:Breakfast, view, away from the noise of the centre, staff.

Review 52:Breakfast was poor.

Review 54:Very nice location with beautiful garden Friendly staff

Review 55:Too costly

Review 56:Location on the river is just amazing

Review 57:no view at all from the bedroom, bathroom not modern

Review 58:the terrace just along the river with a great view on the karstic mountains

Review 59:Wifi not working. A little tricky to find as its off the main road. Room smelt a bit damp.

Review 68:Location, view of the river

Review 69:Best spot in Vang Vieng.

Review 70:The street into the hotel

Review 71:Location Very Beautiful viewpoint

Review 72:The smallest bathroom, we had in the last ten years; no wardrobe in the room

Review 73:Very beautiful garden, nice restaurant

Review 74:AC didn't work. Booked a balcony with private seating, but got room which opened on to breakfast veranda.

Review 75:Location is excellent

Review 76:Good restaurant directly on the riverside. Quiet place with wonderful garden.

Review 77:Bit over priced for what it was.

Review 78:Nice location Comfy beds Pretty good wifi. Good breakfast. Lovely garden.

Review 79:Old bathroom, in the room no tv, no safety box and poor cleanliness

Review 80:Terrace on mekong river, walking distance to tha center

Review 81:NIce staff, location!

Review 82:Extortionate for what you get. My friends paid 30 USD a night, I paid 110, and the standard was better. Rusty AC unit, shoddy bathroom, dark bedroom. You pay 40 more dollars for the Riverside Boutique hotel, which is next door, and you gain about 3 stars there.

Review 83:Location. Staff was nice.

Review 84:When we first arrived they did not have our reservation. We had booked ariverside room and initially was put in a room in the backside of thehotel. After complaining that we would not pay full price for such aroom that we did not reserve they then moved us up to the front in ariverside room. The price of 125 usd a night was ridiculous compared toother resorts near by that were only charging 55 usd a night for thesame quality of room. We love Vang Vieng but this an absolute horribleexperience since it was our honeymoon.

Review 85:I liked that the room we received was spacious and clean. Servicewas decent.

Review 86:Difficult to find with poor signage on the access road

Review 87:Very nice place, nice gardens, well located on the river. Nice rooms and restaurant. Food is good and staff very nice also

Review 88:Nothing

Review 89:We enjoyed our one night stay here. The hotel is tucked down a little lane with glorious views looking over the river. The gardens are beautifully maintained, the staff very friendly. We had a nice meal in the restaurant.

Review 90:The room I got was below my expectations, it was small and dark and thebathroom was too small.

Review 91:The location on the river was fantastic. The service and the foodwas great.

Review 92:Slow service and erratic housekeeping.

Review 93:Wonderful situation for restaurant. Nice verandah overlooking beautiful garden. Friendly staff.

Review 94:Rooms are rather small. Very poor Internet wifi. Feel rather little overprice room rate.

Review 95:Beautiful designs. Nice quiet location.

Review 96:very good and very peaceful
