Reviews for Remisens Premium Hotel Metropol
Review 1:Massage place is pretty poor (though massage good). Also in the room they were advertising a couple massage sauna room that actually does not exist yet. Swimming pool needs some restauration.
Review 2:Location, perfect view, nice people, clean.
Review 3:Sea water in swiming pool, mixed with chlorine. So painfull for eyes. Like you have been diving in Dead sea. All day after I looked like I was welding all night
Review 4:Everything
Review 5:the staff should get training, urgently. they are not helpful, they can't solve very basic things. completely unacceptable for a 5 star hotel they charge 14 euros for parking and we had to wait 45m to get our car (they didn't allow us to pick the car ourselves service is overall outrageous
Review 6:rooms are spacious and clean breakfast have good options
Review 7:Staff are not friendly as you would expect in a 5 star hotel, never a smile and someone unfriendly No Parking provided from the hotel They charge 7 euro for the use of a small gym... Service can be a lot improved
Review 8:All in all if you get a discounted price for your booking, it is a good value for your money
Review 9:- Parking is paid and very expensive for it's location. They should get an agreement with other parking sports and provide alternative solutions. - Coffe for breakfast is quite slow.
Review 10:This hotel is an old school five star hotel. It has amazing view to see and beautiful location, delicious breakfast with see view, just beautiful. Check in was literally 1 minute. I have been been in 5 stars hotels in different countries, of course some are different and more higher standards but Remisens was very cosy and really liked it and will definitely go back.
Review 11:The personel in the hotel, exception made for very few, were arrogant and selfreferential. I never felt like a guest. I assure you that I will, never again, get close to that place.
Review 12:Mrs Monica,Mrs Petra, and one of the cooks.
Review 13:Not so nice beach, paying for the parking
Review 14:Elegant and comfortable room, good breakfast, it's so close to the tennis club. Private pool with free sunshade
Review 15:With the bill. For a 5 star hotel the staff should be more professional and not 'yeal' my name infront of everybody else. Privacy should be respected.
Review 16:The room. Great view.
Review 17:There is no free parking for guests. If you go there by car and stay 10 days, you have to pay parking 100 - 140 euros.
Review 18:Swimming pools are great, you can go to swimming by elevator, whirlpools are excellent, heated sea water in pools very nice and pleasant.
Review 19:Wi-Fi could be better (at least in our room on the 5th floor it was not OK, but already in front of elevator it was very good). Parking is 14EUR/day, in last two years it was 5EUR for guests of Metropol hotel but this is not hotel's responsibility (I was told that the owner of the garage has no connection with the hotel).
Review 20:Nice, clean hotel, very kind staff. Our Superior Double room was very big and comfort. Good location, great sea view from our room. We wanted to stay a day more since we were very satisfied (unfortunately hotel was fully booked).
Review 21:Dear Management - Please create a real "pool bar" serving drinks directly at back-yard terrace, just close to the outside pool! I an sure that investment returns back immediately in the 1st month and all the guests would even appreciate that!
Review 22:Very good food (breakfast & dinner). Large inside pool (the real swimming pool, 25 meters). Very nice & spacious rooms.
Review 23:Staff was not particularly friendly upon arrival. Messed up the car-key allocation and could not find the car the next day. Had to wait long for luggage pick-up on last day. Invoice was erroneous: missed the parking fee...repaired it a bit by kindly offering discount upon noticing the error...
Review 24:Restaurant staff was extremely nice and friendly: served us with glass of sparkling wine when they learned we had a wedding anniversary. We appreciated this gesture much. The room was tidy and clean all the time. We enjoyed the excellent food. Nice location and view. Nice pools and close reach to the beautiful beach.
Review 25:Bathroom were outdated in looks. Hairdryer was almost non functioning. Parking lot was not free for guests (14 eur/day). Breakfast was awful (smallest glasses you will ever find for puring yourself a juice. Dwarf like...).
Review 26:Not much. I don't understand how they can get 5 stars.
Review 27:My neighbours had a barking dog in their room - woke me up a few times really late in the night. My advice would be to NOT to put such guests in adjacent rooms, especially when hotel in half empty in out-of-season period.
Review 28:Great staff - lovely, forthcoming and very professional. Great location as well. Ejoyed the breakfast.
Review 29:Level of "service" during breakfast and dinner goes down a bit within last year (due to change of owner?). The quality of food is fine, so it is not about the "chef". But, when asking 6 EUR for 1 liter bottle of local mineral water, I just expect higher level of service.
Review 30:Have been staying in this hotel at least twice per year, the last 7 years, like it very much. Proper mix, very comfortable, but still not seen as "posh hotel".
Review 31:I stayed in Kempinski at my previous staying. I wanted to try Metropol becasue of casino under hotel. While I was booking I choosed 2 seperated double beds. When we arrived receptionist (which was not kind enough) said beds r too small to sleep and they gave us another room with bigger beds but they charged extra money for that. Spa and indoor pool was closed till 14:00. we could not use them. I do not think i will stay in this hotel again!
Review 32:I stayed in Kempinski my previous trip. I wanted to try Metropol becasue of casino under hotel. Location was good, there was nice casino under hotel. First receptionist was not good enough. Female waiter in breakfast was very kind. There is very big difference between Kempinski and Metropol !
Review 33:Nicely arranged room with a large terrace and a beautiful view of the sea, "indoor" seawater swimming pool with a view and a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere ...... good enough for me.
Review 34:Grand Hotel Metropol serves dinner for other 3* hotel as well. They split the guest in two restaurants, higher service for 5* guests, but simply have not enough staff to do that - results in permanent lack of food of some kind...
Review 35:Very nice, large and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. In very hot-hot days, it is very wise to use large "inside" swimming pool, with large terrace.
Review 36:Hotel needs renovation, especially the bathroom and pool area.
Review 37:Great location, excellent view, big balcony. Great breakfast. Price was reasonable.
Review 38:Recommend
Review 39:Great location and view. Excellent breakfast.
Review 40:For parking you have to pay additional €14 a day.
Review 41:Very large rooms. Good food. Nice large indoor pool.
Review 42:Staff was not well organised
Review 43:Comfort, breakfast, pool, room
Review 44:- disastrous service at the restaurant. - wifi connection was very unstable
Review 45:- beautiful view from the pool - great diner
Review 46:This hotel doesn't deserve 5 stars! Both facilities and staff are so far from the 5* level. It is too expensive for service you get.
Review 47:We were not satisfied with equipment of hotel - not suitable for beach hotel.
Review 48:Staff at reception
Review 49:Excelent view
Review 50:Sometimes communication in english was a bit difficult
Review 51:Great view from balcony over the sea and harbours
Review 52:The pool closes at 7pm. Parking should be in included the price.
Review 53:Location!
Review 54:The pool was closed.
Review 55:No free parking. Only Croatian drinks and food. No Slovenian website,...
Review 56:The room was ok.
Review 57:This year, with new owners, the price for the garage went very much up. Instead of 5€ that was last year it is now 14€ per day. Much too much.
Review 58:No free parking.
Review 59:very good food, kind staff.
Review 60:The whole service, including sea view is perfect.
Review 61:No pets allowed
Review 62:Parking should be gratis if accomodated
Review 63:Swimming pool, lopat ion, breakfast
Review 64:Croissant and bread quality.
Review 65:Our room was upgraded on arrival. Breakfast. Location. View. Staff. Value for money.
Review 66:It is my fourth time here and I like it very much. Everythung is so convinient, the garage, swimming pool, nearness of the center. Good starting point for biking.
Review 67:Not really a 5* service. Not very friendly staff in casino nearby. Lost 1 item in my room and I even didn't get an answer to my e-mail... Not coming back.
Review 68:Nice village. Good sea view.
Review 69:Swimming pools are dangerous, they add some chemicalals to the sea water in the pool, so its becoming like an acid. Hotel is rather old, they are not always maintaining it on the 5-star level. Breakfast was very poor, but tasty.
Review 70:Nice location, big rooms
Review 71:Coffee at breakfast was really awful and staff acting loud and did not even say hello in a five star hotel. The outside pool at the beach was closed and it was not mentioned at website.
Review 72:We had a double room with sea view. Room was clean, large and comfortable. Staff at reception and lounge bar was helpfull and polite.
Review 73:Room was small.
Review 74:Staff were exellant and helpfull. Wanted even to change room rate to aware us to stay longer. All what we needed for 4 years child staff helped us.
Review 75:We are coming back in the same hotel for the fourth year. The first day on the reception, a young staff member told us they "do not have this kind of information in their computer"?! Is there a hotel policy that instructs hotel staff not to acknowledge their returning guest? My experience from numerous world hotels is that they pay special attention to returning guests, valuing their loyalty!
Review 76:Great swimming pool, nice room, tranquil atmosphere.
Review 77:the internet never workedm the staff at reception was blaming my pc imsted of apologizing for the lack on finternet connection. The spa facilities area is old and dirty
Review 78:I was on a bussins trip but I visited the casino which was the best feature of the hotel.
Review 79:Good restaurant, but probably one of the most expensive in Poland. That isnt really a problem, but you should expect even better quality on the food when prices are that high. I ordered lobster as starter. (Price 99 Zloty approximately 31 $) And ewas told that it was 1/2 lobster, but was very dissapointed when they served it like a shrimp coctail! high glass with salad, to much thousand island'ish dressing and some lobstermeat on top. Pint of beer cost 26 Zloty. (Approximately 8,2$ Thats about 3 times as much as normal in Poland and other places in Sopot. High prices on wines on the menu compared to "in-prices" 5 star hotels should also have swimmingpool.
Review 80:Amazingly beautiful hotel and garden, hotel, very good location and nice view. IF you book room with sea view, i will recomend that.
Review 81:The Hotel is excellent, - very good location and great views over theBay. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke excellentEnglish. I arrived a little early but my room was ready for me, andvouchers were provided for a free "welcome drink", one free sauna andone free session in the Fitness Centre. Breakfast was wonderful andvaried - loads of fresh fruit, cooked English breakfast, and they everprovided tofu and vegetarian cold cuts which was a blessing for avegetarian like myself. The Hotel was fully booked at the time of mystay, but due to it's size and the efficiency of the staff it neverseemed crowded and service was never rushed.
Review 82:Not really a five star hotel. Too expensive.
Review 83:Location, staff, comfort. Everything was fine.
Review 84:Not proffesional staff
Review 85:Quiet, relaxing, great view. Clean, good food.
Review 86:Oldish hotel with stuff from the eighties. Not a five star hotel!
Review 87:No free beach unbrellas, in the nigtht closed door from streetit is not five stars hotel
Review 88:Best location, good rooms, good breakfest , free Wifi
Review 89:Comfort. Servis. Hotel staff. Breakfast
Review 90:Loud music till 2 am from the beach disco near by.
Review 91:Friendly
Review 92:Great place to stay if you want peace and great service.
