Review 1：This is not a 3 star hotel. Pictures are very deceiving. They give the worst rooms for booking.com and charge extra for breakfast. I asked for a room with sea view and even having available rooms they wanted to charge extra because I booked through booking. The room was small, noisy, no AC, not very clean and old.

Review 2：It was a place to sleep.

Review 3：No bad experiences, but more than one available power point in the room and a fridge would have been nice. No Hotel car park and street parking costing 75c./hour from 9.00am to 8.00pm made the car a liability.

Review 4：The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, and everything worked. Breakfast buffet was not exciting but adequate and good value. Some staff members were exceptionally helpful.

Review 5：There's a lot of noise every day after 10am due to construction works near the hotel. Also there's a bar on the first floor, works till 2am - may bother you if you are a light sleeper. We weren't bothered by this at all, but this is definitely a cause for consideration.

Review 6：Very helpful staff, view from the balcony was excellent. Rooms are clean. We liked that there was a tea set in the room. Location is great - 30 min from the airport, 20 min from Funchal. Ribeira Brava is located at the center of the island right near the road to the north part of the island - it's very convenient if you are traveling by car. Big supermarket right on the corner of the hotel.

Review 26：I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located on the main street of Ribeira Brava with beautiful views over the sea. Room was big and comfortable, with tea and coffee maker and fridge, with balcony, everyday service. Great breakfast with variety of food. For the price it seemed unreal to stay in such a place. I think they must raise the prices pretty soon. There is no wifi in the rooms but it is standard in Madeira. Wifi is always available only in the lobby so I didn't expect to have connection in the room. At the roof there are small swimming pool and sun beds, also beautiful view for the bay. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to spend too much and yet live in comfort.

Review 61：Fantastic location in quiet seafront road. Hotel under new management since March 2014 and staff were making a real effort to make the hotel successful although it seemed quite empty when we were there. We would definitely go back.

Review 66：The position by the sea is good but being close to the seafront area there was disturbing chatter from early shop workers (7am!) and the late drinkers(midnight) which gets a bit irritating. There is little to do locally so travel is essential and to Funchal is about 20 mins on the fast bus and considerably longer on the slow bus. So a car is probably the best option.

Review 67：Staff where very helpful and friendly. Sea is on the door step although the beach is rocky. The views from the hotel both along the coast and up the valley where stunning. Good value for money.

Review 68：Staff was very unpleasant. They say they have wifi in common areas on the web, but they don't, they tell you to use the free zone wifi and sarcastically tell you "if you can", obviously i could't get through to use the wifi.

Review 74：They don't offer free wifi but there are some places to eat nearby and can use free wifi there. We parked our car on the street in the night. Next morning we noticed a "warning" message on the front window of the car. There is no parking available at the hotel and car parking is difficult in this area.

Review 75：We ended up arriving in the midnight from Pico do Arieiro. The hotel reception was open late to allow us to check in. The staff is very friendly and he gave us a nice room! We got one of the corner rooms, so we had a huge room with a small kitchen and balcony (€26). It had a table and two chairs and we enjoyed full moon and sunrise from a cozy balcony! Ocean view is just amazing! We also found a good supermarket just around the corner and it was very convenient. We have stopped in many different hotels in Madeira and this is one of the best budget hotels we have ever stayed in. We just loved our stay here and regretted it was only for one night! We will certainly go back here next time we are in Madeira :)

Parking from 8pm-9am is free. Afterwards max 2 hours for 0,75€ an hours in front of the house. Good seaview from the breakfast room. The receptionist speaks good English and is very helpful.

Review 82：The hotel needs updating, looks gray. Our room was with kitchen but very poor equipment. No kettle or knife, only one pot, plates, cups and cutlery. There is no 24h reception and to get in/out between 10pm-7am you have to ring staff.
