Review 1：I couldn't change money and the answer was "We don't have any Dinar right now" There was an old guy at the front desk who was so rude.

Review 3：Not enough plugs for modern travelers and the beds were rough. Also they were booked full and we wanted to extend our trip. The staff did not assist us in finding another hotel in any way.

Review 4：Old classic hotel, desperately in need of a renovation. Kind and welcoming staff. Very clean and easy to get to. Design is historical and interesting.

Review 5：cafeteria during winter time can be improved to have a more cozy atmosphere. The SPA service is not well equipped with rates as in more advanced spas. Towels are not very clean and shower area should be improved.

Review 7：i didnt like that in reception asked me to pay all amount of my sejour before to give the key of room . I arrived late night after long trip . I wanted to pay next day morning as usual I do . But receiptionist did not accept to give me key till i pay , i told him that I booked by booking.com so your payment is guarantied / no comment really .

Review 10：1)Location is good. 2)the old style of the hotel is good but the furniture and bedding in our suite(#329) are old and rundown; 3)also the carpets in the hallways are run down. 4)not enough lighting in the hallways. 5) poor compliance with no smoking policy in rooms, hallways, cafes in hotel 6)internet in business centre very very slow! 7) 3 phone sets in our suite but only One has tone!!!!

Review 11：1- I was asked to prepay my stay (7 days) upon arrival. Does not sound like a place which trusts the guests that book through Booking.com2- The lack of professionalism of the staff there was the most annoying and irritating part. You can get great service or horrible service depending on the person you happen to be interacting with. This seems to indicate a lack of professional training and a lack of process when it comes to interacting with the hotel guests. Here are some of the things that I experienced directly:a- There were two receptionists during my stay. Mr Ali was great. The other one has nothing to do in a front desk position (the one in service the evening of december 28 and the afternoon of dec 30 when I checked out). He was unbelievably rude and impolite. He ruined my stay in the hotel.b) the bad receptionist would not give me a check out bill when I was leaving. I had to insist in a strong manner for him to print out one, and I had to remind him that he should put it in an envelop instead of handing me a piece of paper as if he was doing me a favor to print such a billc) one doorman was perfect in terms of helping me with taxis, smiling and greeting me at the door; another doorman (specifically the one in service the evening of december 28) was an absolute disgrace.3- The indoor coffee bar is a disgarce: great design buta) not usable for non-smoker. It is filled with smoke.b) the loud TV inside the coffee bar is annoying for anyone who wants to sit there and enjoy a quiet conversationc) if you are sitting on the terrace outdoor (which is quite nice) it is hard to get the attention of a waiter (who seems to like staying indoors and hanging by the bar) especially after they served you. So when you want to pay, you have to go yourself to the bar and catch the waiter ...Overall, I did not feel that this was a place where I felt like a valued guest. It did not contribute to enhance my vacation experience in Tunis. Quite the opposite.

Review 12：- To be in an historic building - The terrace of the coffee bar - when the weather allowed (we had some cold and windy days)

Review 13：Some of the hotel staff don't speak english and sometimes only a little of french. Room cleaning starts very soon and cleaning staff makes too much noise in my opinion in the corridor (or our room had a poor insonorization).

Review 14：Good location, the main spots are walkable (10 minutes to main avenue, 15 to the medina or to the train station). Reception and the remaining staff was kind and helpful without bragging for money. The room quality is good (but not excelent) and clean. The breakfast is also ok with local food and some limited continental options.

Review 15：No parking around the hotel, be careful because you have to pay for the parking spaces in the streets near. Not the best option for a single lady traveler.

Review 17：The guys at the reception try to chat you with taxi orders and money exchange. The internet is not working proper, the breakfast gets no refill if something is gone, the warm food is cold, friendly is really nobody in this hotel. The people there treat you in a way that you have to be thankful that they accept you as a guest. This was the first hotel in my life where i really had to argue like hell with the employees. Better burn your money and sleep under the stars
