Review 1：The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we had to leave the island earlier than expected they did everything they could to accommodate us.
Review 2：Owner attitude:- rooms with views have NO VIEW - tiny room, 2 star value at 5 star price - electrical outlets in room not functioning and not equipped to use a hair dryer? - no electricity during power outages due to outdated and small generator and owner greed (while other Pousadas with adequate generators had power)

Review 4：I had misbooked the day of the reservation. My mistake. I e-mailed 30 minutes later to both Booking.com and Pousada Casablanca. The house choose to charge me the $100 USD cancellation fee anyway. Felt a bit greedy, though I understand they are a small business.
Review 5：Very helpful staff with service (towels, directions) -- with basic English. Good location in town with A/C. The front porch and tables look nice and well maintained and give it a fun B&B feeling.
Review 6：Great location and friendly staff. Power was down on the whole Island but with the help of a generator, all showers were hot. They even gave us a discount for the inconvenience.
Review 7：My room had only one outlet of any kind and it was on the outside deck, as it was raining it was impossible to use. The bed was not overly comfortable and there was no hot water of any kind in my room. The shower did not function and even electrocuted me twice. There is no laundry service and the toilet clogged to the extent it was unusable. Also the address given is plain wrong as the hotel is not on the main road or the beach but is actually down a small alley called Bougainville.
Review 8：Excellent food and especially coffee. The staff was very helpful if you can speak Spanish or Portuguese. There is one woman who can speak English.

Review 14：Staff was very nice and helped us with directions and restaurant suggestions. The house was nicely decorated, room was simple (as any guest house at Ilha Grande is) and very clean, location was perfect, at a central street but not noisy at night (stores close by 10 pm). Breakfast was very good and they offer a bathroom to have a shower if you have an early check out but still want to spend a few more hours in the island before you leave, which was perfect for us, as our check out was by 10 am and out boat would leave only by 5 pm, so we had the whole day to relax on the beach and came back for a shower before we leave.

Review 17：The room we stayed in was lovely and enough space for travellers. We had a pretty balcony. The room was cleaned everyday and towels were changed. Breakfast was a range of foods including cereals, fresh fruit, tea and bread.

Review 60：Casablanca is conveniently located, it is very close to the jetty, shops and restaurants, but is also not in the middle of it all. The pousada is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. There is nothing that we did not like about our stay here and I would highly recommend staying here.
Review 61：Location is right in the center of the village, which MAY not be recommendable to light sleepers during high season. Reception often unmanned, you gotta go look for them.

Review 64：The location is right in the centre of Abraao not very far from the beach (the beach of Abraao is not suited for swimming however it is here where all the tours start to other beaches - highly recommended!!). The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly however some have little knowledge of English (still the best I had outside of Rio).

Review 66：The location was excellent, very close to the boat harbour and main square, yet set back so it was peaceful. Breakfasts were great and the rooms were clean. Run by lovely staff, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a hotel on Ilha Grande.
Review 67：Poor internet conexion and due to a storm we didn't have electricity during all night, ie: no AC, very hot, no sleeping at all. For such a high price, I think the owners should invest in power generators to produce electricity in these situations.

We had a problem with our air conditioning the first night and the receptionist ensured it was fixed for the next evening. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pousada Casablanca.
