Review 1：Remarkably enough upgrading the room to a room with balcony (offered by booking.com) did wipe out our reservation of two separate beds in the room. Fortunately this could be rearranged on the spot.

Review 2：Classical hotel with helpful staff. Room, beds, bathroom, heating (in April) and balcony (and its view) are comfortable and nice. The combination of an armchair with a small table worked good for using a laptop, wifi works ok. Excellent breakfast. Nice small towncenter and a beautiful area around C. de Vide. We made a very nice trip by car from C. de Vide along Beira to Marvao (beautiful castle and village), back again to Beira and along Fadagosa (a lot of interesting birds!), Povoos e Meadas, C. de Vide to Portalegro and from Portalegro through the hills along Marvao to C. de Vide again, where we visited the castelo of C. de Vide as well. Especially the erea north of C. de Vide and Marvao was very charming during springtime (lots of flowers and active birds).

Review 9：The hotel is not expensive, considering the quality that it offers. We only stayed there for one day, so we didn’t have the time to explore all the facilities, like the bar or the swimming pool. Anyway, the room was quite comfortable, very clean and with all the basic things you’ll need during your stay. The hotel is situated almost in the city center.

Review 12：Very nice place to stay. Have stayed once before and decided to return this time. Very clean all over. The staff are polite and welcoming. The breakfast is extensive and container for example fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, different kinds of bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, juice and coffee. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the center of town. Parking is just in front of the hotel and is very easy.

Review 33：This hotel is very well situated to explore the region of the natural park Serra de Sao Mamede. The hotel lies just outside - but within a walking distance - of the very pleasant town Castelo De Vide, offering a good choice of local restaurants and bars. Hotel is offering good value for money: a wide and cared for breakfast buffet and a very correct cleaning service of the rooms. Small swimming pool with a limited number of seats is ideal for a dive at the end of the day, but not to spent the afternoon. Good adress for people who like to explore, not spending to much time within the walls of the hotel itself. On the other hand the public swimming pool (with slides and other things) is situated just at the other side of the street and a good alternative.

Review 34：The hotel is located on the eastern part of Castelo de Vide, not directly in the town, although it`s just a 7-10 minutes walk into it; Our budget-room had no balcony with view into the backyard, if you prefer balcony just book the better room-category, for us it didn`t matter!

Review 35：Hotel Castelo de Vide is not the newest, but has a charming atmosphere with a bit old-looking typically portugal-style rooms which are very spacious and a good looking and functional bathroom with dryer; There are several tv-channels, some of them in english as well, you can reach everything by elevator, within the hotel there´s a little swimming pool and just on the other side of the street you find the public swimming-pools which seemed to be free of charge; The breakfast was great for the price we paid for the room including fruits, muesli, bred, sweets and more; check-in and check-out went very fast (not always in Portugal); Parking directly in front of the hotel is no problem, there`s a private parking space and public ones are as well just some metres away; Very good!

Review 36：The noise in the morning. We could hear our "neighbours" taking a bath or the cleaning ladys cleaning the other rooms. If you appreciate your sleep don't forget your ear plugs.

Review 37：The hotel is well located (you can easily walk to the city center in a few minutes), the room was really nice and clean, the bathroom was big and clean too. The staff was nice and the breakfast was great and had lots of options.
