Review 1：Rooms very tired and old, breakfast not good no fresh fruit other than melon. Ham etc left in the open for flies from 6 30 til 10 am.Internet very slow

Review 5：It would have been better if the hotel supplied free water bottles in each room, plus tea/coffee making facilities. We had to pay for every bottle of water we used, and none were complimentary.

Review 7：The main receptionist noted that this was a special occasion for us ( our 30th Wedding anniversary ) and went out of her way to make our stay perfect.

Review 8：Location was excellent for viewing the stars, city and ocean. Although having to decline the mountain to partake of the local scene the hotel offered a shuttle service to take you into town.

Review 9：The room furnishings and bathroom fittings are not the most up to date, but are functional and clean. Some people expecting a boutique hotel may be disappointed, but the location, views and overall facilities more than compensate for this.

Review 10：The location of the hotel on the top of Monte Sao Felix offers fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its hilltop location it is still accessible to the local beaches and for us was a better option than staying in the nearby resorts which aren't particularly attractive. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were all very helpful and we were happy with the quality of the food and service in the restaurant. The pool facilities are excellent and and as the hotel is relatively small there was never a problem getting space to relax by the pool. Our stay coincided with the festival of Sao Felix so the small church at the rear of the hotel and the road from the village were beautifully illuminated.

Review 27：Perhaps the menu could include more than just a sandwich during the afternoon. Sometimes we were "peckish" when we came back to the hotel but the kitchen was closed. Maybe a bit of variation on the menu as well, although the food was delicious.

Review 28：We enjoyed staying at this hotel as it had magnificent views, it was very clean and the staff were excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. They went out of their way to supply a very early breakfast for us before we left for the airport.

Review 29：There were not many people staying when we were there and the staff had little to do so, in the dining room, were over eager, jumping on my plate to take it away as I paused between mouthfuls! The restaurant is very traditional, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but hardly anyone was eating there and we only had two meals in five days. The breakfast was OK but I thought that, in modern times, it's strange not to have muesli or some other fibrous cereal on offer. The coffee was mediocre given how good it can be in Portugal. The shower was both very small and squirted water very hard, with nowhere really for it to be fixed, so water went everywhere. We just felt that they needed a makeover.

Review 30：The hotel is in a tremendous location, on top of a mountain about 6 miles from the coast and the Atlantic is visible from the bedrooms. It was very interesting watching the variation in weather across to the sea. Reception staff were helpful. The rooms were large and good value for money.

Review 31：breakfast: there is no cooled area for the fresh products like cheese fruits etc.. coffee is not the best one served wifi did'nt work on I pad or I phone, not at the reception, room etc.... airco, did not work very well, room was always to warm renovation of the bathroom

Review 33：Slightly old fashioned. The weather was beautiful and hot, a shame the pool only opens on the 1st of May, a heated pool would really add value to the place, my daughter was very frustrated that she couldn't swim. I think if they offered a greater variety of snacks, more people would eat in the hotel. The evening menu was slightly expensive and wouldn't necessarily appeal to children.

Review 35：The location of the hotel was very disappointing. It really was out in a small village. We walked around the village with difficulty as there were very few footpaths. We could not find a restaurant for dinner and had no choice but to eat in the hotel as we wanted to have some wine with our meal. The meal in the hotel while beautifully served was of mediocre quality and too expensive for what we got. We could not access the wifi anywhere in the hotel for no apparent reason.
