Review 1：1. Having to climb stairs 2. Having no outside access from unit, no balcony or patio 3. Lack of clarity around the address. We should have been warned that signage is misleading.

Review 3：The staff were lovely, extremely friendly and gave us very helpful advice about the local area. They also gave us a lift to town when we had to catch an early bus, which was lovely. The rooms were large, comfortable and cleaned daily. We were given free access to push bikes and kayaks to explore the bay around us. The location is a perfect distance from the town, a short 5/10 minute walk, and the motel is right on the water (perfect place to watch the sunrise!). I would highly recommend this place to stay, it was great value for money.
Review 4：Each unit (we stayed in three over a fortnight's stay) was spotlessly clean, well serviced and boasted up to date modern decor. The infrastructure is generous and found in the small but telling details - quality tea and coffee provisions, fluffy bathroom towels and crisp,fresh bed linen. Wonderful. Best of all is the warm, good humour of owners Athol and Lorraine. Great industry professionals who run the motel with effortless good grace. And did I mention the location? Beautiful harbour setting. We'll be back.
Review 5：there was no extractor fan in the bathroom. Did have opening window but needed a security stay to keep it open. Perhaps a couple of hooks on back of door to hang clothes/towel
Review 6：Being an older building I was expecting the pitfalls of a tiny shower box, stained walls, smelly furniture. BUT it was spotlessly clean. Small shower for a large person but looked brand new!! A very nice tidy kitchen, well appointed. I would recommend staying.
Review 7：It was the little things -- self contained units having salt & pepper in the cupboards -- usually you have to buy your own. Super friendly staff and very helpful and a wealth of knowledge about the area -
Review 8：Very welcoming and friendly hosts with great recommendations for the area. Looks like the bathroom, kitchen and beds are all pretty new - it was all very clean and modern and comfortable. Beds were good too. It's moments from the harbour although we didn't go there. There's also a nice outdoor area, which although we didn't use would be lovely on a summer evening.
Review 9：No view of the harbour so I think this place should be renamed ' harbour view for some'.We stayed only one night and I wouldn't recommend this as we were put in the back of the motel with no view .Very dark. Felt like the poor relation, tucked in the back, like the naughty ones!! Radio clock alarm didn't work. Parking was cramped. No curtain in living room area (single bed there)and a light on outside all night but we didn't use single bed thankfully.

Unit more like an apartment you would live in, not a motel unit. Kitchen had so many cupboards I had to go through them all to find cups. Very hard to find motel. Address is 5th Avenue but access from 6th Avenue. Had to go to Information site to find out where motel was.

Review 26：I disliked how management treated us and manipulated us into paying a bond because we didnt have a mastercard of visa, and lied to us, because we had friends staying in the motel that night who also didnt have a mastercard or visa and the male management said that she used her sisters card, which was not true. and the first bond he was trying to charge me was twice as much as the room. Just felt like we were treated unfairly and poorly. And questioned or blamed for others behaviour.

Review 33：This motel is beautiful! The unit was a great size, spotlessly clean and the owners very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We loved the amazing harbour view. Plenty of towels, good sized t.v., the kitchen was separate from the lounge. The unit was quiet and very peaceful. I would love to have stayed longer and will certainly return and recommend this motel to people.

The owners Lorraine and Athol are friendly, personable and in my case, instrumental in assisting me to purchase a house in Tauranga. Review 51：Minor stuff only! The shower water pressure was a bit weak, there is no safe within the unit, a common theme in NZ accommodations. The occupants in the unit above us could be heard quite easily.
Review 52：We were warmly received upon our early arrival, show to our unit and given map of local area as well as information on area attractions. The gent who was overseeing the place, checked in on us a couple times, which we found to be a very nice gesture and demonstration of Kiwi hospitality. Our room on the ground floor had a newly refurbished and modern kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furnishing, making the unit quite a bit nicer than we had expected. The main bedroom mattress was very comfortable as well. The unit came with TV in the main room with expected TV shows and news as well as free wifi, which remained strong throughout our stay. Bathroom came with fresh towels and toiletries and kitchen was well stocked with cooking ware and coffee and tea making facility. We also had an outdoor area to ourselves including patio chairs and a table with folding umbrella, making for perfect opportunity for outdoor meals.
Review 53：Bed was too firm and our " king" bed was 2 beds put together. Tauranga doesn't have much to offer a tourist (head to Taupo/Rotarua).

Review 60：There was nowhere to hang up your clothes. Carpet around the bed had not been vacuumed. Found the mattress a bit too firm for my sore hip. Cleanliness in the kitchen was a complete let down - had to wash plates, glasses before using as they were still dirty. Cutlery in drawer was dirty and there were hairs in the divider. Utensils dirty. Oven inside still had all the crumbs and seeds from previous guests bread. Foil underneath the hotplates on stove were dirty as well. Pity, as the sink was spotless. Bathroom mirror had dirty marks on it and hair stuck to door frames.
