Reviews for Edge of the Bay Resort
Review 1:Wish they did hot breakfast as well...
Review 2:Cottage No. 7! Very well fitted-out, spacious, great view and had a wonderful, warm feel to it. Home away from home... :-) Very good food at their restaurant, The Edge
Review 3:Leaving
Review 4:Fantastic resort. Ocean view suite was amazing. We were able to walk straight out of our room onto the bay and share a bottle of champagne on the rocks. Quite, close to nature and exceptional customer service
Review 5:It is not enough for the money. The ant infestation did not bother me so much as the value for money issue. It is a nice place but if you are going to spend all your time at Freycinet park and hiking, there is not much point. If you want a day or two at the beach with amazing views and privacy, then I'd recommend it but still, at $430 for the night things like a saggy bed aren't really acceptable.
Review 6:The view and location on bay with private beaches
Review 7:I wish the bicycles were new but who would cycle when one can just gaze at the view.
Review 8:I loved the staff who was accommodating. The villa that we were given had spectacular views and I wished we could stay longer as this would be my dream villa. It had two rooms and everything was perfect.
Review 9:The cottage was musty & smelly. It smelt like dog. Barely able to stay one night. Shower was woeful no temp control or any pressure. Needs an upgrade. Worst stay of our trip so far.
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:Amazing location - our toddler loved being amongst the wallaby and echidna visitors, the cabin was spacious, very clean with amazing views. We stayed 3 nights, we will stay 6 or so next time. Tip for new visitors - do a proper shop in a larger town on the way in as the small supermarkets in colesbay are expensive and not much choice.
Review 12:I'd like to have the option for a cooked breakfast and an espresso coffee in the morning.
Review 13:I found the changing light and views from the studio deck and restaurant, access to a beautiful beach, and the wallabies and birds who cohabit with guests, and opposite the penninsular is very special.
Review 14:Our room wasn't serviced properly. The restaurant is overrated and expensive. There's nothing at this "resort" other than the room andthe restaurant.
Review 15:Location is fantastic. The view from the room is superb.
Review 16:Beautiful natural surrounds and magnificent views from room. Restaurant on site a distinct advantage Our second time there and would love to return
Review 17:Very happy with the staff, restaurant and setting but feel a few other things should have been included given the hefty price. For example the breakfast wasn't worth the extra money and we feel the price for an infant was inappropriate.
Review 18:location and beach access was fantastic, and the wildlife made it very relaxed and lovely.
Review 19:Nothing to say here
Review 20:We loved the beautifully designed and fitted out room with its fabulous views Birds and wildlife on site, excellent landscaping of whole site. Restaurant likewise with very good food . Staff obliging and friendly
Review 21:The cost of $400.00 per night was too much as I considered the food and the amenities only 4 star.
Review 22:The rooms were modern and adequate. Good view over the bay and it was fabulous ot have wallabies with joeys right outside your unit.
Review 23:The sensor bathroom fan that went on every time you went in, not a great idea in the middle of the night.
Review 24:Amazing location with very tame wallabies at the doorstep. Lying in bed listening to the waves lap on the shore was lovely. The breakfast basket was a little lacking and they do not offer any other form of breakfast.
Review 25:The only small negative was with one of our meals in the restaurant. My wife ordered rare steak and the meal that was served was far from rare. The staff were very apologetic and kindly provided another meal and we received a discount on the bill for the inconvenience.
Review 26:Great location and we had a very comfortable and well appointed Oceanview suite. We stayed two nights and wished we had the time to stay longer. The restaurant was also very nice with good menu choices and wine list.
Review 27:Beautiful location, handy to surrounding area. Restaurant food was delicious...5 stars. Views from room and restaurant were absolutely stunning. Very clean and only wish I had have stayed longer. We will be back for sure :)
Review 28:When greeted at reception, there was no discussion of facilities available (i.e. the lounge, tennis courts, bikes etc). Reception staff was distant and slightly rude; a bit off putting. "Free Wifi" is only in the reception lobby - do not be fooled
Review 29:Restaurant is good. Beautiful views. Unbeatable location
