Review 1：The family were very hospitable and helpful.Our room had a lovely view of the park and was very centrally located.The hotel restaurant was also a benefit offering local dishes.
Review 2：The welcoming. The room is quite poor. The view was disastrous. The bathroom was old, not working well, and very noisy.
Review 3：Breakfast was a surprise - it had a good variety.
Review 4：The female receptionist was rude, insisted to be paid in advance, when we declined breakfast due to gluten allergy, and failed, when asked, to give a fair view of the amazing neighbour village Marvao, well worth an effort to visit.

Review 7：The room had spiders webs with spiders on, the shower room plumbing was never seen before and the staff were rude.I could go on all day about how bad this hotel was.

Review 9：we woke at 4 am and switched a light on and insects started moving on mu husbands counterpane, the electric lamp in the room had frayed leads. the shower curtain was dirty the tv was tied onto the stand by cord. The owner pretended not to understand english until we went to pay the bill by CC card and she refused to take it saying the card reader wasnt working - there was no sign of a card reader.

Review 11：The Hotel Casa do Parque is a well-kept, older building that overlooks a quiet park. Our room was spotless, and it was an easy walk to the Baroque town square, the tiny lanes of the Jewish Quarter, and the castle. Breakfast was excellent and featured a local sweet cake. The owners were very helpful, switching us to a first floor room so we wouldn't have to carry our suitcases upstairs, and offering many suggestions about the town. A very nice stay.

Review 17：Had to pay cash for two nights and a dinner as no credit card facilities. Also no printed receipt given, just a hand written scrap of paper. The air conditioner leaked water all over the floor so had to lay down towels. Eventually had to turn it off for the night even though it was hot, around 30 degrees celcius. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever encountered. It was like showing under a hose and the shower curtain contraption was a disaster. Serious renovations required here.

Review 19：Castelo de Vide is lovely, and location of Casa do Parque is very good, but cannot be rated as a Hotel. Although some staff were friendly, they could not speak english. Rooms were neglected, especially the bathrooms which were poor, needing serious upgrading. There was no kettle with tea/coffee in the room, so there was no way of getting a cup of tea or coffee, and rooms do not have a telephone, so one could not order room service. TV only had 3 Portuguese channels, and no english channel. We would have preferred to move to a better B&B or Hotel.

Review 21：The staff was great. I was welcomed with a lot of useful info on the gorgeous town and everything you can't miss when visiting. My room had a balcony looking at the part and the mountain, it was clean and well furbished.
Review 22：staff doesn't really speak english. TV(although not the most important thing) has only 3 channels, and no english channel. the bathroom and especially the shower, are very small. if you're taller than 1.70 meter, it's not very comfortable.
