The city of Castelo de Vide is often referred to as the Sintra of Alentejo. Across from the church and in the massive main square of Castelo de Vide, you can find this charming 17th century townhouse, now a beautifully restored small hotel.
With just 9 double rooms and 2 suites, which are all differently decorated, it is a perfect place from which to explore the fascinating town and surrounding areas. Some rooms have twin beds and others have double beds, and all offer full bathrooms which are decorated in rich yellow marble.

Review 11：Position is central in town, but quiet. Free public parking directlyoutside. Decor and comfort (2 armchairs in the room and reading roomavailable). Magnificant breakfast including selection of local pastries,although we were only the 2 guests both nights! A lift is available toupper floors.

Our host, delightfully friendly and aware of her "pearl" welcomed us to a great room: big, extremely well decorated (old Portuguese manor-style) and with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains!) Review 15：Casa Amarela is the perfect getaway from the busy life in the city. The owners literally give you the keys to the house so you better be ready to make yourself at home. This is very easy, as the townhouse has a perfect balance of private and common guest facilities. It is also located in the center of the small medieval town, granting on foot access to its many attractives. Breakfast was amazing!

Review 16：The hotel was empty most of the time, closed up and dark. Customer service was not good, provided mostly by the housekeeper and a disagreeable owner/manager. Perhaps if I wasn't the only one there it would have been different. They also only accept cash.

Review 18：Does not accept credit card payments. We were not told about thisin advance and were not expecting to pay cash. Given the dailymaximum withdrawal of £200 cash by card this could have been a realproblem if we had not had more than one card or had alreadywithdrawn cash that day.

Review 20：Just PERFECT....Casa Amarela is a fully refurbished heritage building.The decor is opulent and visually stunning. Our suite was very spaciousand had a terrace which we really enjoyed. The location is excellent -an easy walk to the castle, the cathedral and city centre. A nicebreakfast was served. The manager / owner of Casa Amarela is Vitor, avery friendly person who goes out of his way to be helpful.
