Reviews for Hotel Londres

Review 1:Nothing I didn't like. Great hotel! I will come back.

Review 2:The staff is very friendly and helpful and available, the hotel is very quiet, I spent great nights, the breakfast is real good and varied.

Review 3:Location not far from beach and restaurants. Staff in hotel and hotel bar were helpful, polite and speak English what is big plus! Room was in good size for 4 people. Could be little bit more modern, but it was good value for price which we paid for our stay. Excellent breakfasts!

Review 4:I had two different rooms for a similar price, but they differed in size and quality. It's useful to have ear plugs if you don't sleep well, since both rooms were a bit noisy (either noise from corridors or street).

Review 5:Nice breakfast, good standard. The price was low as compared to other hotels in the area (which is generally hard to understand because there's really nothing interesting in Estoril). Personnel was kind and helpful.

Review 6:had garden view room, on first day when entering, bathroom and bedroom full of mosies, killed about 10 but still had multiple bites in morning despite keeping veranda door closed. It seems that the fish pond in the garden is a breeding ground for them. Stayed in a 3 star in Lisbon so comparing I would only rate this hotel as 2 stars as the rooms are too small

Review 7:pool,staff,location and general decor of hotel

Review 8:We had to be changed from a room facing the road because of the noise. Yet the room at the back we were moved to was just as noisey. Good do with more sound proofing doors as it was not loud guests but just people talking or passing our room.

Review 9:the excellent staff and cleanliness

Review 10:The staff are fantastic - so helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome. The hotel is comfortable and clean; a far better standard than I expected for the price. Spacious room, good sized balcony, great pool with plenty of sunloungers.

Review 11:No iron available at all...unacceptable for business travellers. Also, very limited food available outside of breakfast.

Review 12:Good location and clean. Good bar with friendly bartender. Nice common area.

Review 13:Facilities are very basic. TV is extremely small. It will be better if there's coffee and tea facility in the room or even fridge. Shower cubicle is very small.

Review 14:Location is very close to the beach but not too touristy.

Review 15:When we checked in the first room we were given had a faulty balcony door, which did not lock. It was a ground floor room so understandably we were not happy with this. The receptionist was very dismissive of this and only after we threatened moving to another hotel did he offer us an alternative room, before we mentioned cancellation there were "no other rooms available".

Review 16:Great location for beaches & easy to get to Cascais in the evening.

Review 17:no parking, but public parking nearby

Review 18:location is very good close to everything. staff are very friendly no frills but very clean and comfortable good value for money

Review 19:Coffee in the breakfast was bad. The room walls were quite thin so the noises from other rooms were quite load.

Review 20:Comfortable and modern rooms, working altough load ac, Wi-Fi in the room, nice small pool area, friendly staff especially the cleaning ladies. Good place and really value for the price.

Review 21:The hotel description was not accurate, said 4 stars on website the actual hotel has 3 stars on the property itself, the wide screen TV was about a 12 inch screen. The shower was poor and the overrall pictures from the website didnt resemble the hotel in reality.. (Like photoshopped to look a bit more modern) and finally there was a building site near by as at 10am there was some building works going on.

Review 22:The price was good, free wifi was handy. And the pool area was quite nice.

Review 23:I think from memory I had a bath in my room with a shower head in it, my preference i know but prefere a walk in power shower I went out in Cascais at night a bit of a treck to there on foot maybe 20-25 minutes though if you time it right you can take da train

Review 24:Staff were very freindly & helpfull location close (500 metres) From estoril station & casino very clean hotel

Review 25:It isn't easy to find your way to the pool! You have you go down in one lift, walk across the bar area, then up in another. Both times I used it I seemed to have gone by a different route and had to ask directions! The route could be explained more fully in the information pack- it's not sufficient to say that it's on the 1st level.

Review 26:It was quiet especially at night so easy to sleep Very comfortable bed. The room was very good standard and I particularly liked the bathroom which was spacious and with a choice of shower heads. Some hotels have such small showers you can barely move but this felt very spacious indeed. Loads of toiletries replaced daily so no need to bring your own. There was a small pool to use- good to either start the day or cool off after a hot day's sightseeing. It was right opposite a really good cafe with great pastries and coffee. Breakfast there was very cheap. I didn't take breakfast in hotel which was 20 euros. Very close to the Metro- Campo Pequeno- with easy access to the central touristy areas. Also near the bus stop to central area and airport.

Review 27:The beds were quite hard.. i was a bit sore by the end of the trip. The prices at the hotel lobby bar were a bit jacked up but to be expected! There are not that many restaurant options in the immediate vicinity.

Review 28:The hotel was clean, pool was quite nice, rooms were modern and bright, and the free breakfast was a nice perk! Also the proximity to the beach was great.

Review 29:I requested an early check-in but they left us sit there. We requested a double room and they queried that too. Some of the reception staff were lovely but others unhelpful or just didn't know anything. It's a trot downhill to beach and town centre, such as it is supermarket is a good walk too so be prepared.

Review 30:Quiet location and older clientele. Located next to pharmacy tobacco and paper shop and brilliant Italian restaurant. The bar staff were amazing nothing was any trouble , always a smile.

Review 31:This was the 3rd time we had been to hotel Londres, and were pleasantly surprised to find it had been refurbished and modernised. Obviously, the price had increased accordingly, but we were very comfortable and could want for nothing .Very clean everywhere, rooms were cleaned every day. Lovely new bathrooms, and ALL the staff were very nice and friendly. There was a wide range of foods available from the breakfast buffet. We were very happy there and will definitely be going back again.

Review 32:Staff in the reception was sometimes excellent and sometimes not attentive at all. I think the trained new staff and that might be the reason.

Review 33:The hotel is newly renovated and is very comfortable. Close to the train station and wonderful staff in the bar. Rooms are small but for stop overs excellent. Nice pool area and very good air if you have allergic troubles. Excellent breakfast.

Review 34:Everything was perfect! Everyone on the reception was very nice and helpful, our 2-room apartment was cleaned every single day, the food was great! The best hotel in 2*-3* class I've ever been to!

Review 35:very unfriendly and very unhelpful reception staff, steep hill from the main road to the hotel, awful dinner buffet, have to look for restaurant to have a reasonable dinner, no real dinning room, cold swimming pool, had to pay to use the safe in the room.

Review 36:very good and comfortable bed, good sound proofing from outside noise, cheap sandwiches at the bar, near to the beaches in estroil.

Review 37:Our room was v small, had twin beds we could barely move apart because of the built-in tables. The bathroom had no towel rails, hooks or toilet paper holders, and the hairdryer didn't work - small problems but annoying. Also all the fruit and bread at breakfast were stale every morning we were there.

Review 38:Hotel is near the beach, has a nice pool, v helpful staff and a nice bar area.

Review 39:The rooms had been recently and not very well 'tarted up' with an unpleasant paint job over the tiles. The paint hadn't dried or aired off and was a very powerful smell and fumes which caused us both racing hearts and headaches. To be fair this will resolve if they air the rooms better.

Review 40:The only annoying thing was that the wifi is a bit slow and I had to keep logging in with a username and password everyday. Breakfast was good but the staff weren't that friendly in the restaurant.

Review 41:I stayed in a triple too with friends. We noticed the room was very clean and it had an excellent walk in power shower. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. We got the room really cheap so we were very surprised snd how nice the Hotel was. I also got a massage through the beauty room. The my came up to my room to do the massage which was great. 5 stars all round. The hotel itself is located right by the casino and the beach a 5 min walk away at the end of the road.

Review 42:nothing to point

Review 43:Despite being hosted on the first floor and in the first bedroom of the hall , I slept soundly and only woke up in the morning with the sound of birds in the garden . Breakfest. Great breakfast

Review 44:The hotel was undergoing renovation work during the visit and apart from a couple of instances did not impede our stay.)

Review 45:Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel was well located for Cascais and Estoril promenades, the local Casino (largest in Europe apparently) and the train station to Lisbon (journey time approx. 35minutes, 6 euros return).

Review 46:Clean triple rooms, beautiful pool, excellent reception, information about hotel, area and facilities, friendly helpful lady in the hotel bar, thank you for your advice

Review 47:There was building works being undertaken in the room above us and the chiseling & drilling noise was horrendous. The night manager went out of his way to rectify this by moving us to other rooms on a different floor however, the noise issue was just the same. I feel that we should have been informed of the building works due to the fact that we were in Lisbon to meet our family who had just flown in from Australia & after a 23 hour flight needed to rest. Due to the noise this was impossible & we had to vacate the hotel & sit at a cafe. Also on this occasion I think the hotel should now be looking to upgrade the beds as they are becoming uncomfortable.

Review 48:We have stayed at this hotel before due to its location (10 min walk to the train station - Lisbon trains every 20 mins & also to the promenade where a 25 min walk takes you to Cascais. Although the rooms are basic hotel rooms both bedroom, bathroom and linens are clean. All the staff are friendly with smiling faces. The Hotel also complied with my request for 3 rooms to be together due to the fact that were an extended family.

Review 49:Area is residential so no shops and bars near by, taxi to cascais, wasnt a problem though

Review 50:Everything about the hotel is fantastic, staff cant do enough for you especially pedro, heleena and claudio, they are a credit to the hotel. The place is spotless and the bar and beauty place are fantastic too. Weather was shocking and they even apologised for that bless them

Review 51:Interior hotel would benefit fm a brief refurbishment programme during low season, crucially with paid staff retention arrangement. Parking is mainly on street and charged by local council pay meter during day.

Review 52:Pedro's ham and and cheese toasties after a long haul journey. Rooms are just slightly dated, nonetheless acceptable for purposes of a restful o/n sleep. Breakfast spread truly commendable, courteous staff. Central location 2-3 minutes walk from Estoril bay fronts. WoW, enjoy.

Review 53:The whole hotel was kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with a wide choice on offer. Pool looked spotless but was too cold to use during our stay. Smokers catered for with an outside terrace which was well furnished. I would have liked a kettle in the room, but this is purely my preference, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Review 54:The bar wasn't really in full swing at this time of year.

Review 55:Really excellent value off-season. Proximity to esplanade and train station. Outdoor pool ( tho on the cool side in November ! ). WiFi signal in room ( and free ). Decent bacon for breakfast.

Review 56:Wifi is paid option only, pooltowels only for sale, bed was very uncomfortable, up a hill, thin walls

Review 57:Good breakfast, hotelbar available, light blocking curtains

Review 58:The beds were too hard.We used the blankets we found so that it helped a bit. We told about this when we visited the hotel in April. The water run down in the bath where we took a shower very slowly. We stood in water up to our ancles. We told the reception. They tried o fix it, but it didn't help.

Review 59:The service of all the staff was excellent. Although the Wi-Fi seemed to be old and did not function, the reception staff helped us so that we could use the PC at their office; Excellent.

Review 60:Because of some problem in the hotel we were sent to another one for the first night where we had very bad sleep in a tiny smelly room. We were not offered any compensation from Londris for the inconvenience and bad night.

Review 61:Good location, clean, comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast.

Review 62:Don't joke with balcony doors in pool floor if you are living alone (they let you out but dont let you in) :D

Review 63:The personal was very friendly (especially for child in the kitchen) :) For breakfast you can find warm food all of the time.

Review 64:Location of the room. Website makes it look as though rooms are over the pool. Ours was on the ground floor with the balcony on a busy road. No net curtain so for privacy the main curtain had to be closed. After complaining we were put on the 4th floor but still on the noisy road. Breakfast ok but dinner ordinary, so only one of the latter taken.

Review 65:The staff were outstanding. Without exception very helpful and friendly

Review 66:wifi poor noise from the bar room was very basic coffee was bad!

Review 67:staff was friendly and helpful price was treasonable breakfast was fine, expect for coffee location was good

Review 68:Pool was not heated and, even at that, was off limits after 7 pm,despite the fact that sunset was another 1-2 hours later. There werelarge tourist groups who filled the place while I was there and made thebreakfast and dinner buffets a bit crowded. If you want to eat close tothe hotel, there aren't very many options, unless you don't mind(I) the dinner buffet and crowds of tour-bus patrons, or (ii) walking10-15 minutes to a restaurant closer to the convention center or nearthe road adjacent to the beach.

Review 69:The room was immaculate. There was decent space around the bed, withplaces to set things around the bathroom sink, which I don't alwayssee in European 3-star hotels, believe it or not. The hotel was 5-10 minwalk from the beach down the hill, or across to the large Estoril Casinoor the convention center next door (my business was a convention there).

Review 70:Although there is no hotel facilities for parking, you can park your car outside the hotel on the street and we found it to be safe with no problems except off course finding a parking because the street fills up with cars parked on either side very early.

Review 71:The hotel is within walking distance from the beach but also houses a lovely swimming pool that kept my children thoroughly entertained. The rooms are clean and the wifi was very good. There is a bar lounge where you can relax in the evenings and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful, although in Portugal, overall, everyone is very helpful and accommodating with tourists. The hotel also has a full beauty salon and you can have a full body massage in the comfort of your hotel room at a very affordable price. I would highly recommend this hotel for families with children. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was also included in the room rate and it will give you a good start for the day. There is a wide variety of breads, cold meats, cheese, cereals, hot and cold drinks, eggs, baked beans and fruit and yoghurts.

Review 72:The hotel was bigger than expected, for example breakfast got very busy and crowded. I had been expecting more of a family-run, smaller hotel. We were expecting a bit of a walk into the beach and town, but we had to cross busy roads with lots of building work being done (obviously this will change!)

Review 73:The rooms were a decent size, with balconies over the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was nice and clean with good sunbathing areas around it. Pretty much what we expected!

Review 74:We were starving and too far from anywhere to get food on a Sunday, except the Casino 10 minutes walk away, but we were already in our pajamas after having had a shower. We stayed only one night so would have been good to know when we checked in!!!

Review 75:Everything except I was starving and it had not been explained that there was no food access after 7pm except buffet.

Review 76:The hotel was very, very noisy - noise coming from the street and from inside the hotel. The bed sheets were not too clean, I found some hair on them.

Review 77:I liked the swimming pool

Review 78:The dining room was a bit basic. Ate dinner there for 14.95 euros. Notvery good value.

Review 79:Very chic hotel. Lovely staff, great location, good size pool. Enjoyedstaying there.

Review 80:Room very very very small, I couldnt move around, the bed was so close to the wall that I scratch my arm with the wall trying to move around to the window. Very expensive for that kind of room, really bad. The breakfast so disgusting, orange juice is a watering flouring disgusting tastes, everything really bad.... Never I will stay in this hotel again. Night Staff helpful the only good thing.... The rest really bad...

Review 81:Overall a bit worn, still I think the pool and the bar made up for it. Bring your own shampoo because the provided shampoo is of poor quality.

Review 82:Quite large and clean, with very nice pool, bar and car rental office. Pharmacy next door and a 10 min walk to a small convenience store/supermarket. Very nice pizza place next door (Di Casa), excellent if you return late and don't have the energy to walk far. There was no hair dryer in the room, but we asked for one and could borrow it for free.

Review 83:I would like to contact your service customers, as I do not understand why I paid 150.00 Euro per night. I couldn't work as there WIFI was very poor, room very poor, breakfast very poor (only instant coffee) and the hotel was full with football kids teams. My friends paid 60.00 Euro per night and I paid 150.00 Euro per night. I would like to be refund for the full amount. Raviv Elie

Review 84:The male receptionist with dark hair, agewise in late 20s, I think, was quite rude and not nice enough to be dealing with punters.

Review 85:Front of house manager and the two young lady receptionists gave awesome service. Location is perfect.

Review 86:It was an uphill walk to the hotel from the train station and it was very hot. It wasn't too far though. The last day I was taking 2 rolls from the breakfast out to an outside table for me & my husband (which I had seen several people doing that morning), and a man that was working there was quite rude about me taking them & told me I had to put them back right now!

Review 87:The rooms were clean & spacious. They had balconies off of them. The staff was so great our entire stay except one incident (check the didn't like). They gave us pamphlets or information on places that we asked about. The breakfast was included and had a big variety. The pool was clean but quite cold but felt good because it was very hot. The air conditioning worked well for the main room but the extra little room where the spare bed was (a room for 4) had no air and was hot. They were friendly to our big group that had several children. It was not too far from a nice beach, but definitely a good walk. Also within walking distance of the train station. Also very close to a bus stop that we caught to Sintra.

Review 88:Your staff. Without exception excellent service, staff always pleasant and helpful. Food also very good indeed

Review 89:Nothing relevant

Review 90:Location, cleanness, staff (generally)

Review 91:Too far from supermarkets and restaurants that were open for the winter
