Review 1：Weird thing, im pretty sure my son excpensive hat dissapear from Our room after cleaning so not sure how to feel about that.

Review 2：We liked how Family orientated The place was.

Review 3：We had the room on the ground floor and ants somehow were coming from outside and they were in the fridge and behind the closet. Also geckos but the geckos are harmless. Also everything was very expensive at the hotel (lunch and dinner, drinks, exchange rate). Rent a car if possible.

Review 9：Staff and attitude- firstly we arrived at 11am only to be told that our room would be ready at 2pm. At 2.15pm it still wasn't and only when I enquired did we eventually get show to it. Staff were generally unapproachable, and constantly trying to upsell us (because were on B&B only). We were checking out at 4.30am and specifically asked if anyone would be on duty- which were told they would be. We enquired about this because we needed to settle our mini- bar bill for ONE chocolate. No one was at reception that morning, and as we were driving out, security stopped our taxi and forced us to turn around to go pay the receptionist, who now happened to be on duty. The hotel had my credit card details so this could have easily been charged for.

Review 11：Food was very average, was expecting fresh fish but didn't get much. A part of the sea is very rocky so u don't get to really enjoy the ocean. Towels need to be replaced. Game room had only 2 machines working, 1 out of the 2 tables didn't work the whole time. Poor wifi in the rooms

Review 13：The hotel is quite far from anything but other hotels, so if you plan to look around by yourselves I recommend renting a car. It more of an all inclusive resort. One day the wifi didn't work in our room. There isn't much of a sea view since palm trees cover most of the view. At least from second floor where we stayed. We went here on honeymoon, but it feels more like a family resort.

Review 31：Wifi was not reliable in the bedrooms. This really is a family hotel - that means lots of children, especially in the pool area. I would say great family hotel, but if you're looking for peace or a honeymoon spot I would suggest elsewhere.

Review 32：Great location, gorgeous sunsets every evening. The food exceeded my expectations having travelled to similar resorts in Cuba in the past. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious (they even managed to make the face towels smell like vanilla), staff was very courteous.

Review 33：Staff telling us that gym opens at 9.30am (opening times of all other facilities are mentioned in key card booklet, except for the gym so asked reception staff), so I thought pity, I can't go before my meetings, only to find out it is open early. Also, they gave us (me+ colleague) rooms with connecting doors that were wide open on arrival, pretty awkward...and very noisy. You can do that with families, not with business travellers please!

Review 75：Prices food and drinks in this resort were very expensive compared to restaurants outside the resort. Unfortunately, there were no shops or other restaurants within a decent walking distance. Clearly, the expectation is that guests have book full board and therefore everything will be consumed in the hotel bar and restaurants. The staff tried to sell the full board package a few times although we were not interested. Additionally, they would not let any other taxi service to come and pick us up from the main entrance, but we had to walk few hundred meters to the security gate. However, I was quite happy to walk considering that they asked 1400 for their taxi service to Grand Bay (we paid to our regular driver 500 one way).

Review 76：It was possible to snorkel right in front of the hotel, which was pretty awesome I had read complaints about there being corals and stones in the sea and therefore water shoes were advised. We chose the hotel because of the possibility to snorkel and the fact that I could not put my feet down while snorkelling was not a big issue at all. The gym was very good for a hotel gym and I used it several times. Food was lovely and plentiful.

Review 80：The cost of food and drink for a south african family is in my view astronomical! The buffet dinner is 1000 Rupees per person and in my opinion not fantastic and certainly not value for money. You will pay 90 Rupees for any soft drink of 330ml and water of 1L. A small pino colada is 380 Rupees. 2 malibus and coke cost us 770 Rupees. We had room service for most of our evening meals which was initially decided on by our daughter's bed time but in hindsight these were better value for money and quite tasty.

Review 81：The location of the hotel right on the beach is a major attraction. The facilities available are fantastic. A whole host of free watersport activities together with others that are at an additional cost but all accessible within the confines of the resort. If you have a few sporting ethusiasts in your mix there are lots of activities to keep you busy-floodlit tennis courts, beach soccer, beach volleyball and then indoor activities like table tennis and access to the gym.

Review 82：All the prices are way over stated, value for what is available is over rated. Guests are to bound to what is available to eat, the resurants are not worth the money for a meal.

Review 98：We made a reservation here at booking.com for 4 people (we were three).When we arrived, the staff informed us that the room was for 2 people -despite what booking.com said. The night manager could not make adecision for 40 minutes. When we inquired, he only mentioned how muchextra they were to charge us - 85 Euros a night! It was ridiculous as wehad just flown 24 hours to get to Mauritius and all we wanted was tosleep. So we asked for a single bed, and deal with payments tomorrow.The bed took 2 hours to arrive... I understand this is the hotelregulations, but it is not our fault that booking.com stated 4 people,and the hotel can't provide for more than 2. We ended up payingextra 69 Euros a night.We were in the midst of Chinese New Year celebrations, and breakfast was chaotic with all the people. Waiting for an omelette took 5-10 minutes, and there wasn't much change in food variety and taste throughout the days we stayed. 3 days is the maximum nights, any more and you'd be sick of the plain food. There's also stray cats, so you might hear them howling at night.

Review 99：We stayed there for 4 nights, our room was right next to the beach andit was beautiful. We picked ground floor, there might be ants, butit's definitely more accessible.We had a driver pick us up from the airport to the hotel for 50 Euros. He was very informative and friendly. The staff at the hotel and beach side was also very nice (esp if you tip them, they will remember you very well the next time you meet). There was plenty of water sports: kayaking, paddling (feet), water skiing, glass bottom boat and snorkeling were all free activities. We also went on a fishing trip with the boats (and driver) you rent per hour. The swimming pool is quite big, they have nets for pool volleyball. There is a corner store 20 minutes walk from the hotel which sells water (35 rupees, hotel 90), beer (43, hotel 150), souvenirs and snacks. There is also a money exchange service. L'Horizon is a seafood restaurant, be expected to pay $50-$80pp. You can choose seafood to be grilled (pay by the kg), there's a la carte and set menu. La Casa is an Italian restaurant, it has an addition if you are half board, but if you are not, you have to pay 600RS pp just to eat there (approx $60 pp in the end). The food is not as good as L' Horizon, but definitely better than the main buffet. Overall, the hotel is for honeymooners, family with small kids, and elderly as you'll be stuck in the hotel (unless you have a car or go on a tour somewhere).
