Review 1：The trip got off to a bad start when I emailed to see if we could do late checkout and they responded with a impersonal template reply of there exorbitant checkout policy (for starters 30% of a night's rate for one hour of hour of late check out). Things didn't improve when the bellman dumped us in the elevator with our bags and didn't even accompany us to our room. The room had scuffs and scratches on the wall and furniture and could use a full renovation. Finally, we loved the gym but when we wanted to shower afterwards we were told it would cost $30USD to use the accompanying shower facilities. It's in an incredibly central location but it seems like this hotel is geared towards impersonalized mass "luxury shopping tours" from overseas rather than people who care about thoughtful personalized services beyond how much money can be made off their clients. Doubt I'll be back.

Review 4：The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful (the lobby also smells amazing). We arrived before check in time and we were able to check in early which was great after a long flight. The staff are so friendly and helpful with everything. They helped us book sightseeing tours and even a new years eve restaurant. In addition, they helped us most days with travel directions on the subway. Another example of when staff went above and beyond was when we noticed the fan was not working in our air conditioning system. Within 5 minutes of calling, we had a fan delivered to our room and we were offered a free room upgrade. We were happy to just take the fan but we were really impressed with the customer service. There is a free shuttle bus that goes from the hotel to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insadong and Changdeokgung Palace. We caught the bus twice and it dropped us off right outside the locations. There are SO MANY food options near the hotel especially around the Myeongdong area which is just a short walk away and there is a connecting underground passage you can walk through with many souvenir shops along the way. The rooms are really nice with a comfortable bed. We were lucky to get a city view which overlooked City Hall and the iceskating rink. Stayed here for nearly two weeks and would definitely be back! Thank you Plaza Hotel!

Review 5：Avant garde decor, and amazing location and view of the Seoul Plaza. Very Clean and sound proof from the traffic and buzz from the plaza festivities during Christmas/winter period. And helpful staff.

Review 6：Not much drawers in the room, only one in the closet area. Could make one more which will be handy. The bins in the toilet and living room were not emptied when we checked in. Probably did not check properly. The view of the room could have been better as all these suites did not face the city hall. Breakfast items were almost the same everyday.

Review 7：The suite was rather large and the beds were comfortable. The shower was great! The sofa was very comfortable too. Room temperature was just right. Sufficient storage area for your suitcases. The room is quiet and we had an excellent stay. The staff were great and helped us with our luggage up to room when we arrived and to the airport limousine when we departed. Staff were very helpful and their English were very fluent. Best location to trains, walking distance to Myeongdong via undergound walkway was most convenient, kept us out of the cold. I will surely come back next time.

Review 13：There were performances at the Seoul Plaza just outside the hotel and it can be loud, even from our upper floor room we were having to listen to the concert music quite clearly. Luckily this was only for a few hours but it is something to be aware of as there seem to be events and performances year round on the plaza so there is a good chance you'll have to contend with them at some point during your stay.

Review 14：Front deck and lobby staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. They helped point out ATM facilities, eateries and how to make way around the city with ease. Lobby is spacious and attractive, especially with Xmas decorations already out. It might be November, but they are already creating a nice holiday season environment. Location of The Plaza is excellent for city sightseeing. The property is short walking distance to Myeong-dong district a great location for shopping and dining. It is also connected to underground shopping arcade and passages if you don't feel like walking outside. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the City Hall Station, where you can make your way to other sightseeing areas quickly and with ease. Further, Seoul Station is just one stop away, providing convenient access to/from the airport. Rooms are very nice, modern fixtures, lighting and bathrooms. Room came with fast and steady wifi, A/C and heating, working safe, stocked fridge and coffee & tea facility. A handful of English and other language channels are also available. Room window views of City Hall and Seoul Plaza were nice from our upper floor room. Beds were soft and large, allowing for great night sleep.

Review 15：Not really an inconvenience but may matter to those who like to exercise, the pool and gym can be found on another building so you'll have to cross the street to go there even on very cold days! There was an underground entrance to the ballroom located in the same building of the gym but it was always closed during our stay.

Review 16：The Plaza was a great choice in terms of location. directly beneath is a connection to the subway and underground shopping center. Aroune 5-10minutes walk to namdaemun and myeongdong , Lotte department store and Seoul Station! Many restaurants just at the back of the hotel and a few convenience stores are near as well. The City Hall and the Deoksugung palace just outside. The staff were very accomodating and polite. Our room was very clean and spacious, too! Will stay here again when we go back to Seoul!

Review 26：The dark wood entry into my suite. Too dark even with the large window in the sitting area. I stayed a month, my longest business trip ever and I found the happy hour food a bit boring and lacking in sophistication.

Review 27：The staff and service on the Club floor. The location of the hotel right next to the palace. I was there in May and the weather was amazing and I took multiple walks in the palace and felt like I had my own prive garden.

Review 39：Requested early check-in at reservation and got it surprisingly ( we arrived hotel before 9am ) , also got the city hall view rooms as requested. Room size is decent with all we need working well (universal wall outlet is great) Bathroom is small but well layout , great power water + molton brown amenities. Top location : Airport bus stop at hotel + everland bus stop just 50m away + hotel shuttle bus to 3 palace is free . Concierge is their best !! Went to ask for info everyday during my stay , met 4-5 persins on duty -- they are all great.

The room rate is a good value, but be prepared for a serious hit to the wallet if you use room service, mini-bar items, or the onsite restaurants and bars (the food is excellent, but way over priced). Feels out of proportion with the room prices.

Review 50：Wifi signal was very low on my floor. Often I couldn't use the internet at all. If you want to stream a movie or watch Youtube it is not possible. Checking emails was okay. There was a problem at the check-in when I was told that I had to pay a deposit for each day of my stay. They charge 100.000 Won for each day of your stay. If you don't pay by credit card better bring some additional money with you. I was not informed about this deposit money in advance.

Review 52：The location is just perfect. Close to everything. The best experience for me was that they were gluten free friendly - which is a problem for me during my travels. The staff are helpful and professional. Great stay!!!

Review 53：The prices of everything at hotel are enormous. For example one small glass of house white wine at lobby bar costs 30 000KRW (22EUR). Fitness centre is not free, costs 27 500KRW. These prices are crazy and unacceptable.

Situation is really central (7 to 10mn walk to the Gyeongbok Palace and after that another10mn walk to the Changgyeong Palace).

The check in/check out service at the club lounge on the 18th floor is very fast and efficient, the staff is very good, especially Ms. Iris Song

Review 74：I know this is a top hotel but I still find the mini bar prices ridiculous. 6.50 USD for a 330ml can of Sprite or Coke when you can pick them up for less than 2 dollars at numerous places within a stones throw of the hotel. Also toothpaste and toothbrushes are not complimentary.

Review 75：We stayed here a month prior to this time and were so happy with the experience we returned. Again we stayed in a suite with Club Lounge access which I believe is worth it. Decent breakfast, snacks through out the day, free drinks at happy hour, separate, speedy check in etc. We were travelling by train and it cost us less than 4000 won (about 4 USD) to take the taxi to the station. The rooms are all modern and the staff were very friendly. We returned early one day and the cleaner was in the process of making our room. We said we could come back later but she said no and quickly cleaned the living area so we could sit there and then she cleaned the rest of the suite and was very friendly in the process. The room has an HDMI port to link your computer to the large screen TV. Unfortunately my HDMI cord was broken so we just called reception and they had one of their own sent directly to our room to borrow for the duration of our stay. We ordered room service for dinner on 2 occasions which is a little pricey but the portions were sizeable and of good quality (expect to pay 60-100 USD per person for a 3 course dinner.)

Review 76：The buffet breakfast provided a rather narrow selection of dishes, with very few Korean and virtually none Japanese or Chinese items. There was a step separating the area where the bed is situated from the very small sofa area which was bothersome in the dark of night.

Review 78：The room is slightly small considering the price but this is a top hotel, slap bang in the middle of Seoul so it is easy to over look. Toiletries are great and complimentary except for the toothpaste and toothbrush which cost about 11 usd. Considering the high cost of the room, we refused to pay and just went to a convenience store and bought them for 3 dollars.

Review 79：We stayed in a suite with Club Lounge access. All the staff were very friendly and spoke great English. Upon check in the staff noticed it was my birthday and had a birthday cake made and sent up to our room totally free of charge; a very nice touch. The suite was clean, modern and comfortable. The food in the Club Lounge was great. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety of American/European/Asian/Korean food and was never crowded. Great views of City Hall. Will be staying here next time we visit Seoul.

Review 80：The location was excellent, just opposite of the City Hall. Friendly staff. We had a suite with access to the Club Lounge. There was some finger food almost all day long (breakfast 6.30-10.00, afternoon tea 11.30-17.00, happy hour 18-20, evening snack 20.00-22.00).

Review 86：Small things but none-the -less a bit annoying. No iron and ironing board in the room. We were only staying 2 nights (arriving late one night) and it was not practical nor economical to send clothes out for pressing. Consequently looked like we crawled out of bed in our clothes each day! This hotel was the final hotel of our trip and all other hotels of a similar quality had irons and ironing boards. Very "lousy" with the coffee pods. Why 3 pods? As a couple, is one person required to watch the other drink their second cup of coffee? The hotel we stayed in in NY just before the Plaza offered 6 coffee pods each day. Surely giving guests a few extra coffee pods wouldn't break the budget. Difficult also to use the tea bags supplied without a kettle!

Review 87：The hotel is beautifully appointed with lovely rooms and excellent facilities. The selection of foods for breakfast was excellent and the food of a generally high quality. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and understood and spoke English. Free wi fi.
