Review 1：The room was very small with only one chair and a small table. Bathroom was clean but out dated with broken tile and toilet seat...uggg. It was also on the back side away from ocean view. When we asked if they had any ocean side rooms we were told only 3 bedroom for a $150.00 up charge!

Review 2：The location is very nice and the hotel is presentable and easy to find. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. I liked the AARP discount! The Coffee was awesome not many hotel breakfasts serve Dowe Egberts coffee!

Review 3：Everything was old, rusted, and/or falling apart. It was not acceptable, especially for a family of 5.

Review 4：It was spacious, but the website was deceiving. We never knew that a major road separated our room from the bay view. We were glad to call the management into our room to point out the problems, and he did give us a fair discount.

Review 10：This was our honeymoon. We booked a suite with a kitchen and a view on the third floor. When we arrived to our room, there were bugs crawling all over the counter and the entryway. We immediately went downstairs and requested a new room. She moved us down a floor, which I was not happy about. Our view was half-blocked by trees, but at least there were no bugs. I was pretty upset because the hotel had been my idea. My husband asked if they had anything else available and she said they didn't. They did not apologize for the bugs nor offer any sort of discount. Halfway through our five day stay, both our keys stopped working. She seemed very confused about it, but reset my husband's. That was the last issue we had. However, the facility was sub-par at best. The door did not close unless you hauled it shut and engaged the deadbolt. The security chain was broken after far too many times being opened while it was still hooked up, making it completely useless. Honestly, it wasn't worth the savings. We would have been much better off staying somewhere else.

Review 15：Our suite (312) was very nice, the bed was about the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The view of the bay was fantastic. To be able to sit on the balcony and see both the pool area and the balcony was a real plus. I also liked that it wasn't too far from downtown, a $20 cab ride for the four of us, and much less congested than staying downtown. If I ever come back to Key West, which is likely, I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere but the Bayside.

Review 16：Housekeeping is lacking. Had to ask daily for items like towels and toilet paper. They never changed a bed unless we asked. We were told by the housekeeping inspector that we had to leave them a note if we wanted it done. In 10 days there, no one ran a sweeper across any carpets. At one point, I wrapped 3 days worth of towels and sheets and had to drag it outside our door just to get someone to pick it up. Kitchen was falling apart. Stair railing is being held together by tape. Carpet is pulling away from the edges. Dishwaher flooded our kitchen. Coffee pot was missing the pot. Upstairs shower wouldn't drain. Very frustrated with the lack of housekeeping services considering I paid 4000 dollars to stay there with our family for our wedding. Can get much better service elsewhere for the same money

Review 18：Loved the place - our room was a one bedroom suite and it was a perfect size and the bathroom was situated in a way that people can get ready and shower with out hogging the whole bathroom. The view from our room was direct view of the bay - perfect!!

Review 19：Had high concerns with other people staying at the hotel that were fighting, hollering, running up and down the halls I was very surprised we did not hear gun fire!! That was the first night stay after that things were great.

Review 49：The pictures on the website were not accurate. We booked for a partial view of the ocean and there was no way to even get a partial view. The hotel staff was very bland not rude but not friendly. The elevator didn't have air conditioning as soon as you stepped on you started sweating. The pool needed cleaned bugs all over it. The pictures of the website showed a beach making you think it was on the beach and it was no where near a beach as well. We could have spent $200 more for a very upscale hotel and chose this one because the pictures looked very nice however when we got there it was nothing like what the pictures showed.

Review 52：We stayed in a nice 1 bedroom suite and were able to bring our dogs and boat. Staff was super friendly, personable, and helpful. The kitchen was nicely stocked and we had a beautiful of the gulf with a wraparound balcony from the living area to master suite. Would def stay again.

Review 53：As a second time stayer, this hotel was just as awesome as the first! This room was great, and the washer and dryer in room was a huge plus. The king bed made for a great nights sleep. And the view was incredible. Every time we saw a staff member, we were greeted with a smile. And any questions we had were answered.

Review 54：From the moment we got in it was nothing but problems . Gentlemen at night was very nice. I called them weeksbefore my arrival to make sure that I was in the proper room as it was described to me . Well from that moment on nothing went right we had to check out because we did not have enough room or five people in the room they put us in and to top everything off they charge me an extra day because I had to leave to go somewhere else

Review 60：Rip off! Spend the money to get a decent place! Whether you book a suite or standard room the place was nasty! Lizard in room, no water pressure at all in shower!! Had to fill a cup to rinse off under the dribble. For over 200 bucks a night no refrigerator or microwave in standard room which is the norm for the hotel industry!! I've stayed in nicer motel 6 than this place!! And paying 100 (300 or more a night) for a suite is ridiculous for quality of this dive. Trust me and please don't stay here. Spend the money and be closer to downtown Keys. You'll be happy you did!

Review 62：In the first 45 mins in the room, I killed 5 coch roaches, one off my wife while lying in bed resting from the 8 hour drive. Floor/carpet was wet & smelled like mildew. Asked for another room, and got it, however, it too had wet floors/carpet and smelled of mildew, but I only had to kill two coch roaches( not Palmetto Bugs), this time. Cleanliness of both rooms at best was only fair. Had to ask staff for the right amount of towels for our room. Was disappointed overall for price & value of our stay.

When we arrived to check in, my reservation was gone and there was no vacancy, but the gentleman at the front desk allowed us to use the outside restrooms and pool shower to clean up. He didn't have to help us at all, but we were very appreciative!!!

Review 86：Room was clean but AC had a damp smell. When checking out I was waited on by a snotty, rude women and because of her would not go back or recommend here. Customer service like that is inexcusable to me!

There is chicken raised behind the hotel and the chicken woke us up at 2:45 am the earliest then a few more times before 7 am. Only one night stay but it was enough with the place and a sleepless night. Don't stay there unless you want to be up and party all night.

Review 104：I visited in early April and due to humidity changes, the floor in my 2nd floor room was very damp every morning from condensation from difference in room temp and outside temp. I also stayed at a time that the hotel was being updated, so I was awoken every morning by compressors from pressure washing and painters scraping. This may have also been due to time of year I stayed, being just after spring break.

Review 105：I liked the friendliness of the staff. From the time I checked in until I checked out, the staff always greeted me with a smile.

Review 106：Room 408 is directly across from the elevator. You hear everything. Guests staff, all hours of the night. Also one the roosters of key west loves to crow in the tree adjacent to the floor at 5:20 am every morning.

I'd expect to may ten times less than what I paid usually. They constantly had people ringing and putting down the phone when they hear the cost or walking in and turning back around. We only booked because we were desperate. They told us they can charge what they like because it's Key West. But for such an average hotel they need to get real. Lots and lots of rooms in the peak season were empty because of pure greed.

Review 116：The entry door isn't sealed very well so the tobacco smoke from other guests walking and standing on the walkway outside of our room (well into the early hours of the morning) was blown right in around the edges of the door causing our room to smell like a smoke room. The elevator always smelled heavy of cigarette and tobacco smoke and I never observed it being cleaned in the three nights there. Also, the building is an older concrete structure with metal doors that have no closing cushion features, so, every time a door is closed "anywhere", the sound resonates throughout the building. AND THEN we were housed in the same part of the property as the construction crews working in the area, which made for very early """LOUD""" awakenings in the mornings with them departing the property , calling out to each other for keys and other items and "emptying" the ice machine below our room for their water containers.

Review 117：The location. It was just out of the hub of the partying arena. Easy to come and go. The staff was always approachable and helpful and was happy to help in any way they could.

Review 118：Was upgraded to a two room suite with a kitchen, however all the drawer fronts in the kitchen were peeling off and pieces missing. The vanity in the bathroom was in very bad shape and the whole front was coming apart. The furniture was very beaten up and reminded me of furniture you would give to a second hand store or throw away. Not what you would expect for $300.

Review 119：The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful with questions we had and seemed to be pleasant when checking in and checking out. Was upgraded to a room with a view as I indicated that I had requested that when I booked the room three months prior.

Review 121：The suite was nice for 2-3 couples-complete kitchen , laundry, lovely view from the front lanai overlooking the pool and downstairs bedroom and a large lounging deck off the 2 bedrooms on the upper level. Comfortable large beds. Pool was very nice, too. Breakfast included a lot of choices. Good parking in attached garage. The place is older, though but clean and good value.

Review 122：Property is very tired and needs some maintaince. The carpeting on the spiral stair case was ragged and the railing was "repaired" with black electrical tape around it.

Review 124：The hotel did not seem as clean as it should have been. The kitchen cabinets were missing doors and you can tell they were deteriorating. The rug turned my sons white socks black. (I had to throw them away). You can tell some tiles had broken and then were just glued back on. The Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out. We had to go to the office a couple of times to reprogram our keys. There were a few office staff members that seemed bothered when you asked them for something. The rooms (at least one I stayed in) needs some renovating. The breakfast area was not as clean as it should be. You can tell that the area where you slice your bagels hadn't been cleaned in a few days. The waffle maker had a lot of grease stuck on it.
