Review 2：Initially I wanted to go to Mauritius with friend but due plan changes decided to go on my own and booked room for single person at Baystone hotel. I got advice from somebody who know Mauritius well where is best to stay in January as it is rainy season and he advised at Grand Bay big hotel chain. I live in busy city with lot of noise and have hectic life, last thing I wanted noisy chain hotel with searching for free space to lie on the pool, screaming children (sorry don’t wand offend any moms) and where you are just another traveler number there. Then I saw Baystone hotel pictures and was reading reviews finally made my choice to go there. Actually I made realization that your vacation 80% success depends on hotel you are staying in. One of my first travels were to Egypt and Turkey also 5star hotels with all-inclusive restaurant dining, big hotels, smelly rooms, had to go early to find place at beach that was cramped with visitors, noisy and impersonal. Food was everyday the same and fruits were sometimes rotten. So my memory about my vacation is just that. At Baystone is completely opposite. On my arrival Stephanie at reception was very sweet and welcoming explained about everything, got nice cool drink and hotel host Rohann came to greet me with beautiful smile. I was very tired from my long flight and warm welcoming made me feel really at ease. To mention the reception design is stunning, the room was across the small road with view to hotel entrance that was also very beautiful especially in evenings with lights on. It was simple and modern style everything I needed was there with coffee and tea maker , hair drier, safe, tv, rain shower. Very clean and nice room. Restaurant is straight at the beach you can look at the stars and feel sea breeze and it is very nice idea that they offer a la carte menu each day different so everyday new surprise, you can choose meat of fish and it is 3 courses menu.

Review 4：The only thing that could improve this hotel is a pool it I suspect there isn't enough room. You can use the pool in a nearby hotel for a fee.

Review 5：The view from the balcony can't be beaten. You are served breakfast overlooking the caldera on your private terrace each morning and it's a great place to watch the sun set too. Bedroom comfy and bathroom also very nice. Less fussed about living area: mini kitchen as we just didn't need or use them. Still, nice to have the option All staff helpful and hard working. Lots of advice on timings, trips etc- most welcome. Central location, just off the main thoroughfare so close enough to be in the heart of the action but quiet. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Review 8：The food was wonderful, and the staff went to extra lengths to ensure we were comfortable. The setting was ideal to lounge or do water sports. Perfect all round.

Review 9：The rooms are very clean, the design is beautiful and modern. Big spaces, comfortable bath, amazing sea view. The food is delicious, especially the dinners because of the executive chef Franco Salon. . The biggest strength of the hotel is the kindness of the staff. They always happy and smiley, very close persons. We can state that they became our friends to the end of the holiday. We would like to highlight especially Ashna and Avinash. We never experienced before the similar they are. We felt that they honestly wanted to make us happy. And they were successful day to day. Besides we would like to thank Stephanie's attention, she organized our best trip to Ile aux Cerfes in last minute, which is an eternal memory for us. As a gift she upgraded our room for the last day. The same kindness is true for Emily in the reception, who was always smiley and positive.

Review 14：Staff availability and always very nice; Delicious food from the breaffast to the dîner. To have FOC the possibility to test different sports and free bicycles to reach a larger beach (Mon choisy). Everybody from the owner to the waiter, skipper,... are here to give you a GREAT experience of vacations. From the different countries, and categories of hotel it is the first time I have such Great vacations.

Review 16：My husband and I have been fortunate to stay at some very exclusive hotels, and we have found the best of the best at the Baystone Boutique Hotel and Spa. From the start of our holiday to the finish this hotel is outstanding. The staff are like a family and nothing is a trouble for them to do. The food is to die for all thanks to Franco and his staff. The rooms are all spotless, comfortable and clean, quiet and very private and the views are breathtaking and on the doorstep of the hotel There is lots of things to do in Mauritius and the staff find it a pleasure to help you with the experience. This hotel is very unique and that is how I will always think of it as the Baystone Unique Spa Hotel. So in a nutshell we will be returning back in the near future to this gem of a hotel.

Review 17：A lot of smokers that also smoke during dinner (on the terasse), where dinner is served. Rooms in second bildung (not main building) have street view and you need to cross the street to reach the beach.
