Reviews for Flat Creek Inn
Review 1:A bit random cleaning, sometimes there where shampoo, sometimes not, but it wasn't really a problem. Hard to get a stable temperature, had to turn on and off the heater a lot of times. A bit too far to walk från town.
Review 2:Simple place that totally works out for skiing if you have a car. A little cheaper than the hotels in the center of Jackson Hole.
Review 3:Twice we were give a room that was either not clean or under construction. Had to call them three times the first night.
Review 4:Price and location was great. Easy to work with the staff if something is wrong.
Review 5:they did not show up to let me in and after waiting more than 1 hour and multiple calls to the number posted, I had to book a different motel in Jackson at a higher rate plus Flat Creek Inn booked up my credit card.
Review 6:Rooms are non smoking (which I love) but ash trays left on ac/heating unit outside window. It sucked the ash tray smell in the room.
Review 7:Great views of snow king, the elk refuge and sleeping Indian. Just outside of town (within a mile)so little city noise other than traffic on the highway. The house keeper did a great job keeping the room clean.
Review 8:The carpet was badly stained and the furnishings are very out of date. No breakfast. I would not stay there again. I like nicer rooms.
Review 9:The price was right and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great.
Review 10:Nothing.
Review 11:Best Coffee at a motel . Hotel Facing the mountain range with a great morning view. Bike trail that you can run along for AM exercise. Even the shampoo smelled great. The hotel managers spent two weeks taste testing different coffees prior to choosing the brand they did. This dedicated attention to details along with a great price makes this hotel stand out.
Review 12:First room didn't smell well, but the staff were able to give us another room without any problem. Quiet place. About 2 miles from the centre of Jackson. Good value for price.
Review 13:First room didn't smell fresh, but the staff were able to give me another room without any difficulty. Furniture looked used and loved, but cozy enough.
Review 14:So close to GTNP - makes it easier to sleep here then camp. And it's warmer.
Review 15:staff was awesome, we broke a bottle of club soda in the parking lot and someone was there instantly to clean it up. Very clean. Loved the location, two miles out of Jackson. And the view--the elk refuge. Much better than staying in town.
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:Location - it is not in downtown then is located in a quiter place. It´s als oclose to Grand Teton national Park and direct route to Yellowstone. The rooms are very clean and the price was one of the bests for Jackson hole.
Review 18:Its just right for our need which is a clean place to sleep and not far to what we want to go and see.Price we paid was reasonable.coffee and hot chocolate is free at the convenience store.
Review 19:Clean, comfortable room, pet friendly with nice big grassy area. Nice view of Meadow and hills out the front window. Five minute drive to town. We were going to stay one night but stayed two since Jackson is such a beautiful area. Very reasonably priced. Has a fridge and microwave.
Review 20:we got the room for 50% off and paid 79 USD. For this price it was okay. But for a regular price of 160 USD we would have been disappointed by location (noisy because of street traffic), and the fact that there wasn't even a small continental breakfast included.
Review 21:clean room, friendly staff
Review 22:Room was dirty. We went sight seeing and if we hadn't gotten back to the room so late I would have asked for a different room or gone somewhere else. Complained to the office staff the next morning but they didn't seem to care.
Review 23:Close to town
Review 24:The creaky wooden walkway that went by each room. Every time somebody walked by it made noise and woke us up
Review 25:Water pressure in shower was really low, and toilet flow was low
Review 26:Don't open the door at night unless you want your room are occupied by the little insects.
Review 27:Firstly, the staffs were really nice, helpful and patient. The bike there are available for free and it is enjoyful to ride the bike along by the lake. Secondly where it locates is convenient wherever I was headed for, the Jackson, Grand Titon Park, The Yellowstone Park. By the way, there is a museum nearby. Thirdly, the kitchen is well equipped! I was really surprised that the kitchenwears were indeed satisfying.
Review 28:none
Review 29:We didn't let them know we had a pet when we made the reservation and were able to get us in. Then, when we had to cancel the second night due to an emergency, they accommodated us again.
Review 30:Very dirty. Room not kept up.walls scarred, paint chiped, rug so dirty we never walked in room without shoes on, kitchen utensils were incomplete and mismatched with a lot of worn out stuff.didnt get the bottom floor requested. Was offered help with luggage upstairs on arrival, then on departure had trouble getting help. Owner obviously not involved. The staff needs help, direction, and standards.
Review 31:The bedding linins and towels were of good quality. All kitchen appliences worked.
Review 32:The carpet was stained, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom was very old and dated, and the door didn't seal completely shut- you could see daylight through the bottom. And it was expensive to stay there -$160 a night.
Review 33:The carpet was stained, the refrigerator did not work.
Review 34:There were plenty of towels, the bathroom seemed clean, I liked the extra plugs for electronics.
Review 35:Property could use a few cosmetic updates.
Review 36:We all liked the location. It was out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Jackson. Very nice view. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 37:Liked the convenient location to Jackson, parks, and beauty of the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to have a convenient mart next door and a walking path across the street. We would come back in a minute.
Review 38:Ashtrays outside beneath window. Would like to see smokers move away from building. Toilet in room ran continuesly. Would have liked to have complementary breakfast.
Review 39:Location is great. Plenty of parking. Lots of shelf space in bathroom for all items. Free coffee at the gas station.
Review 40:Honesty I wish I could remember for sure. It was so late and we were so tired that the place seemed right for our needs.
Review 41:The only thing that would have made the location better would be closer in down town. It was a short drive but it was just around the hill from seeing the Grand Tetons! The price was fair and the staff was very nice. Over all it was kept up but definitely an older property.
Review 42:at this rate there should be a free breakfast. Also floor was dirty with permanent stains in carpet which did not leave a good impression. Garbage is stored at outer end of the block which causes a strong smell.
Review 43:Good location just outside of town
Review 44:The traffic on the highway was audible from my room.
Review 45:The location was great for traveling to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, and the WiFi worked. I liked having the gas station and travel store at the inn.
Review 46:Staff did not make bed properly, did not replace towels regularly, did not vacuum at all while we were there (6 days). Difficult to find parking space in the evening.
Review 47:Convenient location to Grand Tetons Nat'l Park.
Review 48:Good value for money. Basic, very clean room with 2 queen beds. Could not hear noise from the highway which was a bonus. Overlooks elk refuge, a peaceful setting. We stayed here as needed 2 nights in Jackson and most places required a 3-night minimum.
Review 49:The beds were horrible....the cleaning staff said they couldn't clean because of our personal items.....it just felt dirty and I felt like spiders or bugs were crawling on me....I didn't have a choice to leave early or I would have!!!
Review 50:Location great - close to town
Review 51:Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable room. We always stay here when visiting Jackson Hole, and it is consistently good. we particularly enjoy its location across from the Elk refuge outside of town.
Review 52:Extremely friendly staff - and we had contact with at least 6 of them. There was also unlimited coffee/tea/hot chocolate - and it was good quality. We had a cup at the start and end of the day. Really good.
Review 53:There was no kitchen in the room as promised. Level of cleanliness was lower than expected.
Review 54:The location. It looked out on the Elf Refuge. Would be great in winter when they are down in the valley. The staff was polite.
Review 55:What I didn't like really had more to do with the whole Jackson resort area than the hotel. The hotel facilities were what I'd consider totally adequate, not special. When I compared prices around the area, I realized the price of Flat Creek was reasonable for the area. I'm from Florida and in my region you can find great places to stay for half the price. If I was coming to Jackson again, though, I would most likely stay at Flat Creek because of the staff.
Review 56:The location was fantastic, just far enough outside of Jackson (a couple of miles) to thin out the tourist crowd, but convenient to town and the Teton park. All of the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 57:The beds were old, uncomfortable, and the air conditioner was inches from one of the beds, and blew directly onto the bed with no way to adjust to air flow. I froze.
Review 58:The location is perfect for exploring both the park and Jackson Hole.
Review 59:Stained carpet. Value for room. I can see charging more in the winter because of the Elk Refuge, but not in the summer. Way overpriced.
Review 60:Closeness to car rental return. Coffee in room.
Review 61:Carpet was stained in multiple places in our room giving it a very dirty feel! Busy parking lot by gas station.
Review 62:Probably the least expensive you'll find in Jackson. Microwave and fridge were nice to have in room. Free Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino for guests. Staff was nice!
Review 63:Overpriced, way overpriced. Rooms are shabbily built, simple unfinishedpine trim and tiny layout to room. Bathroom door wouldn't close, notenough plugs to use microwave without unplugging refrigerator. Clearly acash grab. Unfortunately this is what $175 buys you in the summer inJackson Hole. What a ripoff. Noise from upstairs was ridiculous, nosound proofing at all.
Review 64:Location was ok, on the way to Yellowstone. Could park outside the room.
Review 65:Old windows wouldn't fully close. Needs overall updating
Review 66:Older property could use some updates and carpet. Not cheap, but less than others in area. Good location to Jackson and Tetons.
Review 67:Could hear people in rooms on each side of us, through the walls when their noise level was up slightly in middle of the night.
Review 68:Staff was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed using the Flat Creek Inn as base to go to Grand Tetons and Jackson!
Review 69:nothing
Review 70:Room is big. Big beds. Have laundry. Free hot chocolate. Reception is flexible check out and flexible hour for laundry room. Convenient store and petrol station near hotel.
Review 71:room not the best..Carpet had not been cleaned ever! reported it on our way out and front desk did not make any apology about that. Could not walk barefoot on the floor. did not meet our expectations. gave it about a 4 of 10
Review 72:great location easy to find...gas and mini mart on property nice open views across the hiway.
Review 73:The room was clean, attractive and comfortable. Could park right in front of our room, and it was quiet despite full occupancy. Nice store attached, friendly staff.
Review 74:Didn't see any elevator to 2nd floor. My mother had recently had hip replacement surgery. When I asked to change to a downstairs room, they only had pet rooms.
Review 75:Handy gas station and amenities. Friendly staff. This place had a hostel feel even though there were separated Motel rooms.
Review 76:Clean, helpful buy somewhat inexperienced staff. The young lady I encountered tried hard to help us stay another night, but we would have had too be to another ro and pay a higher rate. She also had a difficult te booking us in. However, a more experienced fellow re scheduled other arriving visitors and gave us our first night rate.
Review 77:It was not as clean as it should have been (dust - very dirty shower head - we cleaned it with a few swipes of our clorox wipes - mosquitoes coming up sink drain (had to close each time) - tub slippery; needed non-skid mat or decals
Review 78:It was a quiet location. Comfortable bed. Dark room for sleeping. Reasonable rates.
Review 79:Had trouble getting the TV to work. Smelled funny. Kinda noisy-people overhead jumped up and down on the bed at twelve midnight. You can't fix that. Ha!
Review 80:The closeness to the Teton Park
Review 81:As are all the hotels in Jackson Hole the price is way too high. Spent most of our week in Idaho, better value
Review 82:Very comfortable great bed & towels. Very dated but clean. Across from the National Elk refuge. ( didn't see any Elk)
Review 83:Our room rate was extremely high ($179/night) for a dated, unclean room. Would not recommend.
Review 84:Not much. Location was fine, just outside out of Jackson.
Review 85:The lady who checked me in didn't mention about free coffee at the shop. I Only found out about the coffee when I was on the computer and over heard her mention it the dsy after l had checked in
Review 86:Great location just north of Jackson. Really convenient to visit Grand Tetons national park. Only drawback is a 1 1/2 hour drive from Old Faithful. Conveinance store right on property with free coffee and ice for guests.
Review 87:Any motel that charges $125 to $150 a night should at least offer rooms where the carpet is not extremely stained and pocked with cigarette burns. Very small rooms. A motel that charges this amount should offer some sort of breakfast.
Review 88:The staff were very nice and helpful
Review 89:Expensive for the amenities but less that many nearby options.ok for short stay
Review 90:Close to alamo rental and elk refuge.easy to find.close to jackson but not right down town.reasonable for price considering where it is.
Review 91:The housekeeping staff didn't restock reliably...we ran out of toilet paper twice and out of shampoo once.
Review 92:The bed was extremely comfortable! The staff was very friendly and accommodating!
Review 93:The room was a 2nd floor walk up and was a bit noisey when others walked outside and when people showered in other rooms
Review 94:Decent room with a king bed ,microwave and fridge. Free coffee at the convenience store
Review 95:Good price, clean, close to Jackson, only a few minutes drive out of the center of town. A great location. Easy access to Grand Tetons. Would stay here again definitely
Review 96:Failed to clean our room for 2nd night. Coffee maker was dirty from previous guest and did not clean coffee maker for 2nd night. Did not replenish toilet paper. This place is back in the 50's and in dire need of a makeover.
Review 97:The staff are very friendly.
Review 98:Just a bit small and very old facility - no breakfast - but enjoyed a good one at Bubba's BBQ. 2nd floor with no elevator - tiny TV - no comfortable chair for relaxing.
Review 99:Location - near Wildlife Art Museum - out of the business of the city.
Review 100:Flat creek was close to highway to Jackson so you had some road noise. But the view out the window was great!
Review 101:The staff was very helpful. Clean rooms & close to Jackson. But not too close. It was like our base camp. Anything we needed was close to flat creek inn.
Review 102:We stayed 2 nights, the hotel was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable, it's a great price for the expensive Jackson area. The location is perfect, just outside the hustle and bustle of Jackson but still close enough to be very convenient. The view out the window was gorgeous. The staff was extremely nice. Free coffee in the morning was great. Definitely stay here if you want an excellent value and a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay.
Review 103:Only bad thing was road construction, very minor inconvenience, justwatch for signs better than I did.
Review 104:Booked hotel based on other reviews, not disappointed. Clean, comfortable. Like the rest of Jackson, wy, staff some of nicest peoplein usa. Great town, some construction on main street Broadway &Cache, don't miss turn if coming from south. Friendly Sheriff'sdeputy helped us when we got lost. Thank you sir! I love jackson wyoming
Review 105:A little on the expensive side for small rooms with no breakfast.
Review 106:It was clean and comfortable. The rooms were a bit small and not very light. However it served the purpose with fridge & micro to make our own breakfast.
Review 107:Having to leave.
Review 108:Front desk check in woman was our first impression and it followed thru w/a great room - comfortable, clean, and great 4 day stay.
Review 109:No elevator. two story. All first story rooms were taken. Lots of ashtrays outside with plenty of butts. No cig smell in my room, tho', but the smoking indicates the type of clientele.
Review 110:very nice room. No frig or microwave. Didn't test wi-fi. TV good. V clean. Comfortable bed.
Review 111:One cleaning lady (the old one) showed up at the door at 8am indignant that we hadnt put out out littlr do not disturb sign. Guess she thought cleanung the room was more important than the vacation. She was friendly enough, just cluless... Our 2 rooms didnt have a kitchen, but like I said, think it worked out better that way.
Review 112:Rooms were clean and staff was super friendly. Stayed 6 nights over christmas. Lots of hot water and clean towels and room done up nicely every day except Christmas which the told us in advance. Much less expensive than anyplace else in Jackson or Teton village. I recommend stayning here and eating out over paying 6 times as much for a studio etc with a kitchenet. Saved a lot of money so we could hit a lot of the expensive resturaunts in town!
Review 113:The location of the television in the room, difficult to view.
Review 114:Location was excellent for viewing the elk herd and to provide relief from the hustle from downtown Jackson and traffic. Would I book again with or stay at Flat Creek, a most definite yes.
Review 115:It was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. How can you go wrong near the Tetons? We enjoyed our stay. The room attendants did little extras that made us feel special.
Review 116:it was spider season (oct) and I was very nervous after seeing 4 of 'em in the room. The TV had to be revved up in order to watch it. rug is close to be replaced. the toilet is so small and loosely connected to things - it moves. sink is close to being replaced. new wood trim should be stained or protected somehow.
Review 117:location, employees, sheets actually fit the mattresses this time, the usual microwave and fridge. heater worked well. We missed not enjoying a bit of breakfast :)
Review 118:We enjoyed being in between town and the entrance to the park alongside the highway rather than in the town with all the tourist traffic and tacky neon lights of other motels. It was much more calm and quite at Flat Creek.
Review 119:Afforadable. Friendly. Away fr the 'touristy' part of town. Only 63 miles from Yellowstone.
Review 120:This place had no frills but the price was right and we found the 'down home' staff to be so friendly. We liked having the 'family owned' feel. Handy to have the mini grocery store & gas station right there. Good mtn view. Didnt mind it was right off the highway. We still found it to be quiet. The room was clean & beds very comfy. Decent area to walk our dog.
Review 121:This hotel is right on the highway and the doors to the hotel rooms open onto a big parking lot available to anyone driving by. Even more importantly this hotel desperately needs a facelift. A flat screen TV and better lighting and fresher bed clothes would be great. It feels old. There are other hotels that feel just as old however, and that cost a lot more, so maybe it is a good value for the money.
Review 122:It was by far the cheapest place I could find but it is also way out of town.
Review 123:This property is very outdated. Furniture is old, TV very old and positioned poorly for viewing. Overpriced!
Review 124:Convenient to Jackson Hole. Friendly staff.
Review 125:Would have been nice to have restaurant closer as we were traveling to Yellowstone park and had to go back into Jackson
Review 126:We were thrilled that we could find lodging in Jackson area on Labor Day weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, and fair priced.
Review 127:There was a problem with some dust around the edges of the room. These are the areas that a push type vacuum cannot easily reach. It sounds picky, but for people who have allergies to house dust, it could be problem.
Review 128:Its location - just 3-5 miles outside of Jackson, Wyoming, right across the highway from the Elk Refuge and just a few miles from Grand Teton National Park. It's close to the activities and amenities of Jackson w/o the noise and concentration of in-town traffic. A really great location. I would use it again when I'm in the area.
Review 129:We arrived at 2, told we couldn't check in til 3...fine we will go tour around. Came back at 3:45 went in office and checked in ... went to the room and it still wasn't ready...had to sit in the car for another 20 minutes. The noise from second level guests quite irritating.
Review 130:Location
Review 131:Poor insulation, could hear people upstairs and water running in other rooms. Pricey, expemsive for what it is. Got far superior lodging at Gardner, Yellowstone for same money
Review 132:Location. Clean
