Reviews for Forest Nook Aparthotel

Review 1:no one speaks english, you can get lost in the hotel. we park in the parking near the main road and we couldnt find the main reception and nobody could give as directions

Review 2:Forest Nook turned out to be a big disappointment on a number of levels. Firstly, the location of the apart hotel as described on Booking is absolutely misleading. Our visit was exclusively related to winter sports and activities, hence the proximity of the hotel to the ski lifts and slopes was of significant relevance to us. While Booking clearly states that ''Ski trails and lifts are 800 metres away'' we were extremely disappointed to find out that the closest ski facilities were over 4 kilometres away. We initially found it hard to believe, but it was one of the receptionists who confirmed this distance as valid with a sarcastic smile and disbelief that we had expected to find lift or ski runs nearby. Having said this, it might be also worth to point out that the hotel location is very bad in general, not just with respect to winter sports facilities. There is nothing to be found in the surrounding area and it is impossible to get anywhere in the absence of a vehicle. The rest of the hotel facilities indicated on the description (cinema, nightclub, spa) were indeed present, however, unlike misleadingly implied on Booking, most of these (at the exemption of the overcrowded sauna and swimming pool) could only be used at an extra cost. The worst part of our stay was the noise around the hotel late in the night and early in the morning. We were placed in a room right in front of the lift/corridor where even for a fairly young and unpretentious couple, the noise became intolerable. We complained about this several times and insisted that we should be accommodated in a different room, however the receptionists remained unresponsive to our requests. Fortunately, there was one excellent and friendly receptionist (the only one I would say) who agreed to put us through to the manager. This fortunately resulted in us being able to cancel the last night of our stay and receive a refund.

Review 3:Shuttle service from the hotel to the ski slopes running in the morning and late afternoon

Review 4:Great hotel and frendly stuff.

Review 5:Pool is not functioning during the summer.Tiny and uncomfortable bathroom. The road to the hotel is in very poor condition.

Review 6:Nice hotel and good stuff

Review 7:The furniture was falling apart,it was very noisy, drunk teenagers all over. Blocked drains in the shower cabin.

Review 8:it is a spacious apartment .

Review 9:worst hotel EU, should never accommodate guests again

Review 10:The spa is small and getting crowded during the weekends. Furthermore it is far if you are not in the main body of the hotel. There were some problems with the hot water in the apartments. Breakfast is very scarce

Review 11:Apartments were spacious, warm and nice.

Review 12:We arrived in the afternoon and after travelling whole day, we wanted to check in immediately and take a rest. There were no people at the front desk, still it took 20 min to check in, the girl couldn't find our reservation and kept asking me if I have my voucher with me...I explained that we made or reservation through booking.com, still she experienced some problems finding it. Other things I didn't like - only 2 towels per person (a small one and a bigger one), I asked for extra towels, but the cleaning lady refused to give us. They also change the sheets and the towels every three days, imagine if you have only 1 big towel and you are using the sauna and then taking showers...imagine how it's gonna look like after three days.

Review 13:Anyways the room was nice, we had a great view. Bed - comfy, they have 2 restaurants, the upper one was better.

Review 14:We did not get room cleaning on some days. Elevators were not easy to access ( small and slow for the hotel).

Review 15:It was good for the price we got charged. The suite was large and comfortable for my family. Staff was friendly.

Review 16:Awful management and terrible service. I will never recommend this hotel.

Review 17:the villas are ok, the fire place is good, but a lot of things from the equipment are missing, nobody came for 5 days to clean the villa

Review 18:The hotel was very spread out meaning a very icy walk to the ski buspoint. The hotel is a long distance from Ski Center 2 which meant a 10lev charge each way which adds up over a week. The reception staff were unhelpful and basic maintenance was poor e.g. The dripping boiler although reported and supposedly fixed were not (the bucket under it was emptied!)

Review 19:The chalet was clean and had all the basics needed. Restaurant Lucky inthe next door hotel had good, very reasonably priced food.

Review 20:Even though several days after the snowfall, the road leading to thehotel's bottom reception was not cleared, only 4x4 or special snow tirescould go through. The Hotel manager was helpful when our car got stuck. What we found appalling though, was that the pathways and stairways in between the hotel buildings were frozen and turned to death traps, without the intention to clean them. It was a slow time for the hotel, and it looked like they did not intend to provide that service to a small number of guests. Steam room was closed, for some reason you had to pay 10 euros to use it, but sauna was free. Pool was really cold. Restaurant - most of the things in the menu not available, had to make do with soups. Breakfast - a small buffet with poor selection but at least there were plenty of eggs and bacon. Coffee was served in a plastic cup!!!!! The restaurant manager had a few things to learn I suppose... Beware taxi drivers pay commission to the hotel, and they probably get commission from the places that they will recommend, so expect taxi's to be an expense if you car cannot move..

Review 21:Stayed in one of the two bedroom chalets. Shared with another couple -two bathrooms and a nice living room with a fireplace. Electric heatersin all areas, so nicely warm.Shuttle service to the ski area, but a bit infrequent.

Review 22:1. Rooms were very cold2. It smells like WC all over the hotel 3. the staff was a big mess 4. if you are not in the main village you have to walk a lot, change at least 3 elevators and 4 staircases and walk in the slopes with the luggage. theres no staff to help you eith it. it is not posdible to use tha spa as it is too far. 5. the restaurant is offering just 3 meals which are more than awful. 6. no working tv. no phones in the rooms 7. the hot water is from boiler. if you want to take a shower it has to be not more than 7min.as the water ends. no hot water in the morning... Awful service!!!

Review 23:The room was not dirty

Review 24:it was very good.Have two reaustarants in different style, night club and lot's of facilites

Review 25:Cold villas, not enough hot water

Review 26:Kind hotel staff
