Review 1：Only minor niggles - Nowhere to hang full length coat/dress in room (we were there for a dinner/dance function). Breakfast adequate, no more than that.

Review 8：Very hard to use secure key-card to enter room; had to ask for assistance several times. In-room safe was non-functional; needed Front Desk to install another (usable) safe which they promptly did. Wi-Fi in Library/Bar area was virtually non-existent; very surprising given how close the Library/Bar are to the Front Desk.

Review 9：The quiet, nature-green location was delightful, very close to the main historic site, but far enough to be peaceful and relaxing. Ample secure parking was an added plus, as were an excellent outdoor pool, with large beach towels for visitors' use: great! Wide selection of nice breakfast items from which to choose. Very comfortable bed; great sheets; powerful water velocity in shower (!!); nice bathroom amenities.

Review 10：The safe box is outdated and unfortunately the mechanism got stuck but the friendly staff was able to resolve this. It would be good to update these in the rooms. Minor detail. Other than this we loved the place and would come back anytime

Review 11：We loved the view from our room directly into Obidos ' medieval city walls as well as the pool which is very nice. The room was modern and we liked the bathroom window into the room. It makes the room feel much bigger and integrated. The staff was very friendly. The property has many art pieces which was very cool

The staff were amazing the manager helped us book our next hotel as so many hotels were already full. The rooms are very clean and modern, minimalist style which we appreciate. Review 14：Location out of Óbidos and yet near enough, almost walking distance. Not far from other places that are worth visiting (Nazaré, Caldas da Rainha etc...) Very pet friendly mainly if you travel with a small pet (ours a Caniche 6 kgs) Very good restaurant Very quiet and peacefull.

Review 15：The breakfast was such a disappointment. The coffee was awful and although there were herbal teas there was no breakfast tea available. I asked a Portuguese diner (just in case I was being too fussy) what they thought of the coffee; they made a face said it wasn't great. We had stayed in another location in Obidos previously where the breakfast was excellent and the croissants to die for, there must be a local supplier of these goods.

Review 16：I was worried about other reviews regading the location of the rooms. We were on the ground floor near reception. We had no problems with noise. The young team on duty when we arrived were extremely helpful. The receptionist on duty the following morning was the same and gave us advice and good directions on using the pool. The rooms were very clean and enjoyable to use. The quirkyness of the Hotel was a great plus. I would return.

Review 17：Lightbulbs burnt out in room and throughout hotel. Spa facilities off when they should be on. Power to sauna and steam room went off while we were using them. Desk staff on phone for very long time while we waited to check in and out.

Review 18：This hotel is modern, expertly constructed and clean; it has great potential to be excellent, but there seems to be no effort to make it so. The housekeepers and waiter were friendly. Food was good for a buffet. Chocolate mousse is superb!

Review 21：Because they are so remote I felt they should serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you have a dinning facility why aren't you making use of the room. They did serve breakfast but it was always cold according to the time. We were told breakfast being served until 10:30 we went down to breakfast one day at 10:00 and they had no food, the scrabbled eggs were cold, there were flies in the juices and the fruit. The staff from the front desk went to the back and heated up the eggs that had been sitting there already, and they came back burned and hard. We just felt the staff was not knowledgeable when ever you ask them questions, they always had to refer to their boss which meant them finding her, somewhere in the hotel. We felt the staff didn't pay attention to detail, such as taking out the trash, or vacuuming the hallways someone had cut their toe nails and it was still there three days later.

Review 61：The room we were given was full of dog hair and beach sand. Also the stairs were dirty for days. Cleaning seems to be a problem. We booked a room with a terrace (extra cost) but we didn't use this because there is no furniture on it. The terraces do not have any privacy. All are interconnected and only some have a view on the castle. None have a view on the swimming pool. Staff is not trained and a hotel manager is not often on the premises. The swimming pool and lounge area are poor and does not invite you to stay. Lights were not switched on in the bar at prime apero time and music seems to be unexisting. So no atmosphere created! The restaurant was closed which is not great because the nearest is 1,7km away. If you do not want to drive to a restaurant the location is not great. Breakfast is poor and overpriced. This hotel is not a 4 star worthy. It is run as a 2 star. I would recommend you to opt for another hotel in the cosy little town of Obidos.

That showedin all aspects of the services provided; unfortunately no evaluationform was available so unlikely that improvements are made. Level ofcommand of the english language of key staff (eg the manager) wasinsufficient. Room cleaning during the weekend was sloppy (and that isputting it mildly). Breakfast is served form 7:30 onwards, at least intheory. Practice is that from 7:30 onward preparation for the breakfastbuffet is carried out. Hot breakfast items were not being heated in thechafing dish. Restaurant was not open due the chef not having started.Instructions for operation of the in-room safe were completely differentfrom the way the safe actually worked.Conclusion: if the hotel continues as they are providing their services now, I doubt that they will survive.
