Review 1：No gym or fitness facility. Bad wall noise isolation. Very old TVs from the 80s not suitable for a 5 star hotel, with only 8 somewhat functioning channels. At check-in the night of my arrival staff demanded I pay my full stay in advance, I offered to leave my passport until I change currency the next day. Just as I was falling asleep I was woken by phone and asked to come to reception to pay. Their excuse was that it was policy for BOOKING.COM customers. That was annoying and unprofessional for such a "high" caliber hotel. Staff can be overbearing during breakfast with their surveys of hotel quality and customer service even when one is still having breakfast. Cheap toiletries, bring your own. Smoking in the reception area.

Review 2：Location at the heart of the main Bourguiba Avenue. Rich and varied breakfast with plenty of healthy options. A good selection at the buffet dinner. Friendly staff but could be overbearing. Very good wifi without the need to log or sign in. Great views of the who whole city depending on your room orientation.

Review 18：Lack of gym; hotel needs modernization. Furnishings in both rooms and public areas are tired. Cleanliness of restaurant could be improved. No iron, coffee maker or free water in rooms. Wifi is slow. Very poor TV channel selection.

Review 22：There are rude bodyguards out of the hotel. Feeling not happy when seeing them. Buildings in H.Burgiba Avenue has a standard but hotel's building is totally different than them. 4-5 times higher than standard buildings. Ugly i think... The most important thing I would like to emphasize is swindlers around the hotel. they approach to guests when they left from the hotel. They say hi and start to talk about the city, building etc. The swindlers say that they have been working for the hotel, just finished shift, going to the old market (medina) and we are very luck as there is flower festival, perfume festival ect... They say they can help you and they take you to some stores. And there they try to sell some products to you 10 times more expensively. They push you badly to buy sth from there. They approached me even at 06:15 in the morning when I left the hotel.

Review 23：Generally staff was slow but quite kind. It is in a central point. Close to old city & H.Burgiba Avenue... Lively environment just out of the hotel. Breakfast was OK. Generally satisfactory inside...

Tunisia requires all foreigners to buy a "solidarity stamp" of 30 dinars that was a kind of airport tax, but the hotel could not provide the stamps (my friend staying in almost all other hotels could buy them at their hotels), which was a simple but useful service, so it was inconvenient for the travelers. We asked for a high floor room, but we were given a room on the lowest floor.

Review 34：As I have told you before, my wife canceled her visit to Tunisia but they charged me two people instead of one. In doing that they lied by saying that they do not have single room.

Review 46：I had mixed feelings when I read some of the reviews on this site but when I arrived at the hotel everything changed. The service was great, the location fantastic, the breakfast buffet was ok, the a la carte restaurant on the fifth floor was excellent, the room was large (as well as the bed) and the room cleaning service was great. Most importantly, the price for it was excellent. What else can I ask for? Yes, the hotel could use some renovations but it is nonetheless a great hotel for what Tunis has to offer.

The room service took a long time to even answer the phone at night. We had no remote for the tv and it took maintencence over half an hour to get a new one. We wanted to change a smaller amount of money but the cashier had not cash enough?! The overall service from staff felt either negligent or a bit disrespectful. No schampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
