Reviews for Piligrim Hostel

Review 1:The location is a little bit far away from those hot spots, but it doesn't too far. Through the bus I still could get to the hostel easily. Except this point. All the others is so good!! Friendly host, clean room, shower, toilet and kitchen. There is also a nice public social hall. I love this hostel. Hope everyone could have a nice night here.

Review 2:This hostel was absolutely awesome - I would rate this one of the best I've ever stayed at. The staff all spoke English, we're extremely friendly and helpful, the info board had every piece of info u could want. I was even interviewed by Russian TV about the hostel. Close proximity to supermarket. Kitchen, showers, toilets all kept clean. Loved it!!

Review 3:First of all, the staff. We met 3 different staff ladies during our 2 night stay and all of them could speak good english, give directions to the main tourist and non-tourist spots, and were very willing to help. We travelled through Russia for one month and we can assure that's not something easy to find. Besides, our private twin bed room was very spacious and comfortable, and they had an excellent shared bathroom. Finally, although the hostel is a bit far away from the city center, a close by bus stop plus the staff's informations made it easily accessible from anywhere. Highly recommended

Review 4:Have to take a bus to downdown and train station though buses/minibuses are quite frequent. Reserve at least 20 minutes for the bus ride from to the train station.

Review 5:The toilet and bathroom is very clean. Bedroom is spacious with three bunker beds. I was given a set of freshly washed bedsheet and pillow case when checked in. The staff whom I first met spoke fluent English and was very helpful. Useful information pinned on board.

Review 6:far from the train station

Review 7:Quiet calm environment

Review 8:Ticked all the boxes!

Review 9:some distance from downtown

Review 10:clean room, convenient kitchen, kind & English-speaking staff, easy-access location to railway/bus station & downtown

Review 11:It was hard to find!!

Review 12:Very nice hostel! Big, clean rooms. Whole hostel was the cleanest I've ever seen! :) There was some kind of a church in the same building.

Review 13:This is an fundamentalist religious hostel!! Be warned. It is not statedon their website, however after arriving and saying that I was going outto a bar, I was told that I am not allowed to drink. I understand themsaying I can't drink in the hostel, but to be told I cannot go to abar is an absolute joke! I argued the point (after all, Jesus himselfturned water into wine), but was told if I go out and drink, then Icannot stay there, because it is hostel policy. In the section onBooking.com that says "Hotel Policies" there is no mention ofthis ridiculous extremist, fundamentalist policy. So after agreeing tosit quietly in the hostel for the evening I went outside for acigarette, and was then told I had to smoke across the street, offhostel property! No smoking in gods hostel. So if you're going tostay here I suggest you pack your bible and crucifix. Alternatively, thelocal prison is much cheaper and offers similar amounts of freedom toits guests...

Review 14:Hostel was priced fairly, and there were kitchen facilities, free teaand coffee etc. Clean sheets and towel provided.

Review 15:this place couldn't be more different, incredible clean rooms and bathrooms,a chillout area, internet, and amazing friendly staff.in a word,i feel is so good.

Review 16:Not enough security lockers for storing pers possesions.Only 1 WC and 1 Bath/Shower for all guests More expensive than similar places in Moscow and St Petersburg.

Review 17:The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Ola.

Review 18:Far from down town ( 15 min taxi )

Review 19:The hostel is housed in evangelical churches Very quietly, cleanly Thestaff is caring and attentive a lot of tourist information (how to getto ; the timetables; the region's attractions, etc)

Review 20:Favourable location (not far from the historical center, quiet place andgreen yard), clean light and large rooms, comfortable beds, well equipedkitchen and bathroom. No smoking and no drinking within the hostel - itis great, no smoky scent within hostel at all!

Review 21:The hostel was quite far from the centre (30 min walk). It was quite difficult to find, located in the middle of appartment blocks. The bath was quite stained but not necessarily dirty. It didn't really have a backpacker feel to it as it was linked to the church/religious centre downstairs. An alright stay but not really for backpackers.

Review 22:The beds were really comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They let us check out later and arranged a taxi for us.

Review 23:Can't locate the hostel with the house number, phone up the hosteland the staff don't know english, that is 23:00, an empty street and-10degree..... Luckily asked for help from an pedestrain and get intothe hostel....Hot water not steady.... it is a headache for winter... Finally if you want to locate this hostel, go to the street mentioned, you will see many blocks of brown building along that street, they are NOT the one you look for. Instead, there is something like a small park among these building on the street, a 2-level flat inside the park, that is the hostel!

Review 24:The price is good

Review 25:sometimes it was noisy as there were stairs close to our room. But at night it was Ok.

Review 26:The staff was very friendly! The double room was clean and comfortable. 15 minutes walking - and you are in the centre of the city!

Review 27:Reception is nice and speak very good English. However, the place is a bit difficult to find.
