Review 1：We experienced one major Hiccup. We booked a tour to "Ile aux Cerf" with GBTT and they overcharged us. We checked with other Tour operators and they all quoted 1500 or less Mauritian Rupees. GBTT charged us 2000 rupees. We tried to cancel the tour on the same day but the GBTT person said we could not cancel and if we did we would have to wait 22 days (as this was paid by card) and only half the money will be refunded. He also mentioned that we would be doing an extra tour down south of Ile Aux Cerf on the Catamaran when we booked, which did not happen. Everybody else on the Tour paid Rs 1500 per person. When we tried to cancel, he was quite arrogant and rude. We also found out that other tour operators would cancel a tour if it was done on the same day of the booking and would refund all the monies. With this kind of attitude on our first day of our tour was disappointing but the rest of the tour was quite satisfying and relaxing. I really think you should take this up with GBTT. Review 2：Not enough essentials in the kitchen. Need more serving bowls, measuring cup and potato peeler.

Review 4：Excellent value for money. There's a supermarket right outside and a superb Italian restaurant within a 2 min walk. Shopping areas are a 10 min walk away. Pool is good, staff cleans everyday. They even got our laundry in and put it to dry while we were out. Crockery, cutlery and appliances all were good. It's like a good studio apartment. Pool was right outside the room with a table and chairs outside each room. A calm, relaxing place. The manager helped us with a taxi, advised us on diving. Scuba diving site is 10 min walk away.
Review 5：I know, I hear you. This is vacation time and vacation place, ... but Internet is very slow and if you are to stay longer, work or plan, this becomes bit difficult with very slow connectivity.
Review 6：Our second stay, great big apartments with all you need for your stay. All apartments facing swimming pool and bush behind compound. Quite sleep (if there are no frogs on the swimming pool :-) ). Location of facility is OK, if you do not expect ocean side one, but that is obviously greatly compensated by the pricing level, so overall this is The best Value for money location stay we have invented for the island.

Review 16：The staff were super friendly. Marie was so helpfull - arranging our transfer taxi etc. The supermarket was situated just next door which made stocking up on supplies so easy. The apartments were also centrally positioned.

We got married at another resort and the staff let our sister and cousin in so they could spread flower petals all over the room before we got back to our room. It was so lovely. The location is great and we will definitely return.

Review 22：Although the hotel itself is OK, I would not recommend it or stay here again, maybe mainly because of the location. All the elements for a great hotel are there, except we didn't have enough privacy. One employee in particular was being too forward, like dropping by every 15min for a uncomfortable chat. Location of the hotel is terrible, felt unsave walking around (not without reason), it's not a lovely part of Grand Baie - you'll need transport to go to the 'better' part.

Review 28：Hotel and facility is great place to be. Spacious room, living room and kitchen. Our room with patio and swimming pool view gives you that extra space feeling when sitting outside. Location is not perfect (that would only ocean front potentially be), but price to quality ratio is very, very good. Location is still good with access to main road, safe and good quality environment and general store next door, which makes it convenient for your stay. Staff is very helpful and takes care of facility and you with upmost attention.

Review 30：We stayed 6 nights here. Very affectionate and loving staff, open to any questions. The location is good and quiet, supermarket is next door and go a little further for tasty french baguettes. It's a 5 minute walk to the center. The rooms are large, clean and daily cleaned and provided with fresh towels. There is always someone present (24 hour), surveillance inside and outside. You feel very safe. There is a laundry room that can be used.

Review 33：Very poor kitchen facilities e.g. microwave oven but no microwave safe cookware or dishes, electric oven but no oven-proof cookware. There were also no cleaning materials for washing dishes etc. We had to buy everything from the supermarket. WiFi not accessible from apartments - only reliable from lobby. Cockroaches that had clearly been there for some while, given the number. Having said that, once alerted to the problem the manager had a pest exterminator in on the same day to spray insecticide.
Review 34：Pretty good value for money. Easy walk to the town centre. Very good bus service to the capital and northern beaches. Supermarket right next door. Excellent cleaning service with sheets and towels changed frequently. Laundry facilities on site. Very friendly staff who spoke English well. Local nightclubs were closed for the winter so very quiet at night.

Review 69：The cleaning lady did not clean the kitchen properly. When we arrived the stove was a bit dirty and sticky. She did not wash the dishes properly either. There was always food or something that was stuck onto dishes (even though we rinsed all our dishes after use so food would not be stuck on until the next morning). We eventually bought our own dishwashing soap and sponge and washed the dishes ourselves before the cleaning lady came. We were also annoyed on the one day, the maid came in to clean while we were making breakfast. We presumed she would start cleaning the bedroom and bathroom while we were preparing/cooking breakfast but she just barged into the kitchen and started cleaning up while our food was being cooked and we were eating! very very rude. Wifi in the rooms is pretty much non -existent, you have to sit in the reception area for wifi to work.

Nicolaas, Roshni and the guards who were on night duty were very friendly, helpful and assisted with anything we required and answered all our questions. Cosy place. The apartment contained everything we required in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.. The supermarket next door sells everything and anything you need for a holiday. Very convenient. La Cuvette beach is small but nice. about 15 minute walk away. Grand bay public beach and restaurants about 20 min walk away. Highly recommended

Review 75：A wonderful place to stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful.We stayed in a first floor apartment and the staff carried our luggageup the stairs for us and we were told to let them know when we wereleaving and they would collect them and carry them downstairs again.Security is excellent as well as onsite security guards there is alsoa camera covering the parking area and entry. There is a supermarketnext door for convenience. There is a main access to the beach whichis approximately 400-500 meters away depends how fast you walk to howlong it takes, there is also a little alley way leading to a lovelylittle beach which is only about 5 mins walk (ask the staff fordirections). Walking distance to bars and restaurants. Woulddefinitely stay there again.

Juliette (front manager) and Nichola (security) was very welcoming and always had a lovely greeting. It's a fully furnished apartment, just missing laundry, dish washing soap and peeler. Has everything else, the knives were a bit blunt, but there's enough plates, pots and pans for a family of 4. They change towels everyday and housekeeping every 3rd day. If you keep windows closed, it's quite clean, however open and there's plenty of insects that fly/crawl in. Very comfortable stay on the top floor, just no elevators - so ask for ground or first floor if you're afraid of stairs. The price was great, we only booked for 2 people, however was 3 (one took the sofa bed) at no extra charge. Thanks Grand Bay Suites! Will go back again There's a small free parking space outside, and a bus stop opposite the road if you need transport. They also have a quaint pool in the front. There's only a very tiny beach nearby, 300m. But instead of seaside, you get to hear the frogs and see birds.
