Reviews for The Lodge at Jackson Hole

Review 1:Taking a bus every day to go skiing was a pain; sometimes we were on bus for 2hours one way in traffic; not what I want to do on vacation; probably the main reason I would not stay there again

Review 2:Good breakfast; but same thing every day Nice staff; always pleasant

Review 3:Beautiful "Lodge" hotel. Comfortable Beds, nice towels, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Breakfast was fabulous, and the staff treated us like family.

Review 4:The front desk staff could have been nicer. They seemed a bit arrogant. The whole Jackson Hole community seemed to be adverse to tourism. They weren't an overly friendly bunch. One note, if you are traveling with children, many of the restaurants in the area are not kid friendly.

Review 5:We were very satisfied. The location was excellent. We were worried it would be too far from Yellowstone, but it wasn't. It was perfect. The pool and the comfort of the facilities made our trip successful.

Review 6:Unfortunately there was a older couple who had been drinking and got into a huge fight in the swimming pool area, while we were swimming. I was just about to go to the front desk when the husband left.

Review 7:The room

Review 8:Front desk could have been friendlier. They were not very helpful or happy to deal with. The hotel itself was great though. They do need screens in the hotel Windows.

Review 9:The hotel was not prepared for the amount of families visiting for the Utah Fall Break which happens every year in mid October. The staff was working very hard to keep up with breakfast and towels at the pool but there were not enough staff available.

Review 10:Very nice facilities and staff is very polite and courteous. Very clean and great location in Jackson.

Review 11:Staff wasn't very helpful in helping us find things to do in town. Things we requested in room weren't there. We had to ask for them again.

Review 12:On site spa

Review 13:The mattress was old. The middle was like a hill and the side were like valleys.

Review 14:The location was excellent. Very nice room. Full breakfast was a nice touch.

Review 15:The hotel receptionists did not give the customer service that myhusband and myself have been accustomed to in the past. We have stayedat other facilities, and have gotten so much more from the hotel staff. We also had a problem with our fridge in the room, and asked them to fixit, and that was never looked into.

Review 16:The room itself was great, along with the pool and work out room!

Review 17:On check in the 2 staff on reception continued to discuss work for a few minutes without acknowledging us.

Review 18:Large rooms with comfortable beds, superb shower and bathroom facilities. Excellent pool etc and good choice at breakfast.

Review 19:Very nice lodge with all the amenities you need. Great location as well and a friendly staff. Nice indoor/outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs. Very good spa amenities as well. Just a great place to stay.

Review 20:The first (of two) breakfasts was chaotic. Overcrowded and not enough staff to assist.

Review 21:The room was very nice and comfortable and the location was very convenient for a short drive in to town.

Review 22:There was nothing we found to dislike.

Review 23:Beautiful facility. Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Nice hotel restaurant. Terrific nearby restaurants and gallery shopping. a very pleasant hotel.

Review 24:Some front desk personnel were uninformed about what was happening in town and not very helpful.

Review 25:The room was terrific and housekeeping was excellant. Bellboys were great and breakfasts were consistent good quality. Location was great. Bus stop at the lodge was very convenient and bellboys would use a car to drop us off anywhere in town. Our week long stay was very comfortable.

Review 26:The check-in was a little rough. The young lady at the desk kept getting confused. It was quite expensive.

Review 27:Rooms were very comfortable, breakfast had lots of great, tasty choices, and shuttle to town was very convenient.

Review 28:Poor booking experience. Despite being told my reservation was confirmed for Friday after my call to desk to correct error, I was charged for a no show. I was also told my confirmation was still good which was incorrect as it turned out. Bottom line my one night for one person was $800. Very unfair.

Review 29:Location. Staff tries hard

Review 30:We thought it was a little closer todos town than it was. It is walkable but pretty far!

Review 31:The facilities were amazing. We loved the indoor outdoor pool and hot tubs with the garage door. Also the room was spacious and the bed was outstanding. Free breakfast was also great!

Review 32:Hotel was nice. A bit crowded around hotel location. We traveled to Jackson in the peak of summer and it was very crowded. There was a huge crowd at breakfast which made it a bit less enjoyable.

Review 33:Wifi not brilliant and my son unable to stream videos in the evening. Hot breakfast items a bit uninspiring given the standard of the rest and the cost of the stay. Expensive hotel.

Review 34:Beautifully furnished and very comfortable rooms. Fantastic pool. Excellent staff. Free shuttle into Jackson town centre.

Review 35:Price was high. Spot on the carpet in our room. Food was nothing special.

Review 36:Bathroom was exceptional. Staff were polite and friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated - great ambiance. Large rooms. Great computer charging station in the room and computer access in lobby. Nice bar and good wine, open late. Water bottles and toiletries provided.

Review 37:Only complaint would be the price.

Review 38:Very nice room with extra seating, couch and seat at desk. Very comfortable bed and pillows, just like home! Microwave and refrigerator. Nice large bathroom with a magnified mirror, hair dryer and rotating shower head. Free wi-fi, coffee machine, nice swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.. Very nice breakfast with very good fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, variety of breads, more that I don't remember, and very nice staff.

Review 39:Uncomfortable mattress; don't plan to use the sofa bed- it was very uncomfortable

Review 40:Efficient, friendly staff; excellent breakfast; great pool and hot tub

Review 41:For $500 a room. TV and facilities good. King bed great. Shower awesome. Fold out couch -awful. Could not sleep on it. Had to use cushions for extra sponge and then was stil unsleepable.

Review 42:Complementary shuttle to town and back. Luxury in every other aspect. Just over priced for room

Review 43:Price value was way off- was not worth 450.00 a night - I almost felt price gouged- lobby was small and tacky

Review 44:room was nice- breakfast and breakfast staff were great

Review 45:Way over priced for the area. Also we left $50 tip for messages and found out when we got our bill that we were charged $60. Will not be back. Also both bartenders were quite rude and unfriendly!!!!

Review 46:This motel was nice had good ameties

Review 47:Our experience was great-only downside is that Jackson is a resort town and lodging is expensive compared to other cities but this property is much nicer than most and was a good value for the location.

Review 48:Although outside looks like a rustic "chain" hotel inside is beautiful, room nicely appointed with luxury amenities. Quiet, elegant and a delicious breakfast spread for guests.

Review 49:We had booked 3 rooms months ahead and our son actually stayed 2 nights before we got there. AC wasn't working in one of the rooms. Hotel furnished a fan and tried to get the unit serviced. But the fan wasn't adequate. Waiter in the bar wasn't very friendly.

Review 50:Thought the facilities were very good. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Breakfasts were excellent.

Review 51:Everyone suggested expensive restaurants only in Jackson Hole. Later we found out there was other great restaurants closer to the hotel that were never mentioned. Seems like they only want you in Jackson Hole. Also, the woman seeming to be in charge was more anxious with people and help then was needed. She was short with everyone including guests. Really killed the feeling of the hotel.

Review 52:Everything was great, and the breakfast was amazing!

Review 53:The picture on line is a bit misleading. It appears as though it is set back away from everything nestled in the mountains. In fact, it is in a valley, but surrounded by businesses and busy street nearby. However, it was very convenient and there were trees around the perimeter to give it some privacy from the road.

Review 54:It was very close to shopping and activities in Jackson. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and included.

Review 55:Pool and jacuzzi were run of the mill. Breakfast very average and the breakfast setting poor. Coffee and tea only available in paper cups- not what you expect from a quality hotel!!

Review 56:Clean and tidy hotel. Nice lobby but lacked atmosphere. Rooms were nice but very dark

Review 57:What is there to dislike here?

Review 58:Everything! Breakfast, Dinner, Pool, Comfort, WIFI, Friendly staff, all of them. Area the view, location. I could go on and on and forget something. Just everything. My wife is in the beginning stage of Alzheimer's and I wanted to have a place where she would enjoy and she had a wonderful time. Thank you for that and I will always remember this vacation, it was wonderful in every way. Michael and Joan Franklin

Review 59:This was our first time in Jackson. Loved the Lodge and the town. The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone were amazing. Highly recommend the Bar J Chuckwagon for a night out.

Review 60:We stayed for 4 days. The breakfast buffet, though tasty, was the same each day. A bit of variety would be nice. The wifi was pretty slow.

Review 61:The room was spacious and comfortable.

Review 62:I was put in a down graded room from what I booked and had to move when I had all my luggage placed. The access card system went down and we couldn't enter our rooms. Would have appreciated some compensation for the problems but nothing was offered.

Review 63:We had a great time enjoying the views and plan to come back soon.

Review 64:The beds were comfortable. We started our day with a hardy and delicious breakfast, after skiing we went to the heated pool and hot tubs, and for evening entertainment we used 3-D TV already in the room and borrowed from the movie library at the front desk.

Review 65:My wife and I did some extensive searching for places in Jackson Hole to stay and we landed on The Lodge and absolutely loved it! The staff is super friendly, the rooms are nice and comfortable with windows that actually open if you want to do so, and the breakfast was one of the best i've seen as one that was included with your stay. You'd spend $40-$50 for two people at a normal hotel for the style of buffet they have. We stayed 3 nights so I figure we saved another $150 by doing breakfast there as well. The place is great and we plan to be back for future visits in the near future.

Review 66:The complimentary pickup from the airport took longer that hoped. ... but it was free. Also, the coffee was horrible. (Also free).

Review 67:Great overall experience. Great breakfast and good access to both the town and the resort. Prices were a bit high, but it is Jackson. If you compare the cost per person, it wasn't much worse that staying at the hostel. We were glad we went this route.

Review 68:We were able to walk to the square for shopping and dinner. Our room was nice with a fireplace and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Review 69:Breakfast starts at 7 would like a little earlier start (6) since some activities require a early rise.

Review 70:Very convenient to most activities. Useful free shuttle to town, ski and airport. Ski rental on location was great. Daily breakfast was very convenient to get your day started before heading to slopes or other activities. Pool and spa was nice also.

Review 71:If I have to knock anything it would be the tight parking, but it's Jackson.

Review 72:We enjoyed everything, the updated decor and rooms, the breakfast buffet was awesome. The breakfast had something for everyone, I would rate it as the best I've had at any hotel.

Review 73:The rooms were a little stuffy and over heated even with the heat turned off (finally opened the window even with sub-zero temps). We had a terrible time at check-in with the desk clerk not complying with our pre-arrival request for "near-by" rooms, but the manager on duty stepped in and took care of us--she was wonderful. Other than that, no complaints--a very nice place to stay.

Review 74:The location and condition of this hotel are very good. Most of the staff were wonderful and took very good care of us. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was delicious.

Review 75:The mandatory facilities fee was annoying.

Review 76:Very comfortable, especially after a week in Yellowstone lodges. Great shower (I later tracked down and bought one of the showerheads).

Review 77:a little bit costly

Review 78:Very spacious room and very comfortable bed and we love the decoration and hotel design style. Nice breakfast, nice location and nice and warm lobby. Also love the bears :)

Review 79:A lovely ending to our trip after 4 days in Yellowstone. Helpful staff, clean large rooms, very comfortable beds, close to town and Jackson Airport. Would definitely recommend it.

Review 80:A/C outlet was placed 2 ft from the bed and no air movement to 90% of the room. Temperature control was non-existent. Clerk solution was that they could give us a fan. When you are paying these rates, I expect better design and control of my environment!

Review 81:Super room w/ fireplace and really clean and quiet. Great bed.

Review 82:The price but I guess that is to be expected with the high price of everything else.

Review 83:The beautiful interior and outside. The breakfast and the staff was great.

Review 84:Air conditioning was noisy. I think for the price there should b a concierge and porter.

Review 85:We were met by friendly polite staff. We enjoyed the pool and spa. Very comfy bed. Great bathroom with lovely Molton Brown products. Very good breakfast was included in the price with lots of choice and good coffee.

Review 86:The room was very comfortable - excellently appointed with fabulous bathroom and fireplace. Staff were very helpful and the spa was very good. The fridge, Keurig coffeemaker and microwave as well was a nice touch.

Review 87:1. The kitchen: is way off being field improvised kitchen.2. Very small tub / shower. 3. Terrible attitude by the bartender on the arrival night when trying to get late dinner - he was sweaty, angry and impolite.

Review 88:Gym and Breakfast.

Review 89:fortunately there are many options for food in town, the breakfasts served are poorly run with insufficient seating and preparedness, that said the coffee was great

Review 90:beautiful facility , super clean,

Review 91:Breakfast poor/inadequate: no fresh no fresh eggs and only option scrambled (from a carton of liquid egg batter), no plain yoghurt, no unsweetened and unflavored oatmeal, no pancakes. uncomfortable pillows. some very good and helpful staff; others acted they are doing you a favor.

Review 92:good pool and jacuzzi and exercise room.

Review 93:There is "nothing" not to like about the Lodge.

Review 94:The room was very good, comfortable bed, fair pillows, great shower/bathroom. I wish I had time to spend in the pool, hot tub and exercise room but did not.

Review 95:No complaints --This was a great find.

Review 96:This was a first class , great hotel. The room was fantastic , not one to be overly concerned by room designs but this was an exception. Great Indian paintings , huge bed, Gas fire place in room . Very good free breakfast . Great location, can even take back road to avoid main drag at busy times. pool , hot tube and sauna . Excellent staff

Review 97:Breakfast was shut down at 10am (too sharp) and disgruntled guests. Let late arrivals have breakfast until a reasonable time (10:30?)

Review 98:The business center downstairs (off lobby) with computers and printer. The pool and hot tub, just great features. The bathrooms (wonderful showers!)

Review 99:CROWDED AT TIMES SLOW BREAKFAST CLEARING SO NO TABLES AVAILABLE TO SIT...SLAMMING OF DOORS...NEED NIGHT LIGHT IN BATHROOM...NO SCREENS ON WINDOWS SKEETS AROUND AND NO FRESH AIR WITH OUT FANS GOING.

Review 100:WHIMSICAL OUTSIDE DESIGN OVERALL APPEARANCE OF PROPERTY NICE BEDS.

Review 101:Breakfast was not "Lodge-like" but "Motel-like" with paper cups for coffee and plastic cups for juice.

Review 102:We has a nice King Suite which was spacious with a comfortable bed. Complimentary shuttle service was very convenient.

Review 103:The windows wouldn't open and I really missed having fresh air.

Review 104:Large room with very comfortable bed. Fresh fruit every morning. Clean and attractive.

Review 105:Having to leave.

Review 106:Comfort and cleanliness of room. Brilliant buffet breakfast. Humour of the bears! Location. Scenery - the stunning Grand Tetons range. Local shops and amenities.

Review 107:Very comfortable hotel with a relaxed feel. Complimentary breakfast was really good with a choise of hot and cold food (as much as you could eat) also complimentary tea and coffee at anytime. Large, clean rooms with friendly helpful staff. I can not fault this hotel.

Review 108:Can't think of one thing we didn't like

Review 109:The staff at the front desk is exceptionally knowledgeable about the activities around the area. We took all of their suggestions and could not be happier. Horseback riding in the mountains with a steak dinner after, great whitewater trip, excellent restaurant choices-just perfect! To top it all off, free breakfast every morning!

Review 110:About $100/night higher than the other places we stayed but not that much better by any means. It was not in downtown Jackson Hole either to help account for the higher cost. I would not stay there again due to the price.

Review 111:Nice hotel comparable to others we stayed at in and around Jackson Hole.

Review 112:Although not in the main walking district they provide shuttle service which makes up for any inconvenience of the location.

Review 113:Great rooms and clean and attractive facility.

Review 114:Front desk staff poor. Breakfast not very good. Extremely expensive for what you actually got overall

Review 115:Shuttle service. Indoor outdoor pool

Review 116:Clean and invitin

Review 117:Nothing

Review 118:Room comfort:TV, fireplace, stall shower

Review 119:the room was very comfortable & breakfast was great

Review 120:Disappointed we did not get our room until after 4:00 pm.

Review 121:Great breakfast included with the room.

Review 122:no smile

Review 123:no

Review 124:I haved stayed for a week @ a time for the last 3 yrs. The hotelis awesome

Review 125:other than the pool area there was no real outdoor area to be able to enjoy the mountain view.

Review 126:The building & construction next door at 7am

Review 127:The room was great - comfortable, clean and a good location

Review 128:good facility, but given high price per night, cannot say it is value for money

Review 129:they said it is 10 min walk to Jackson hole main area, but it took 30 minutes to get there.

Review 130:breakfast

Review 131:Wifi service was spotty and slow at times - needs improvement.

Review 132:Nice hotel and staff. We had a great stay!
