Review 1：Parking and driving ugghhhhhhhhh.

Review 2：Obidos is best visited for a brief overnight, off season, and an early departure before the crowds and crowds and crowds of tourists on buses! And I mean crowds! The family who owns this lovely hotel works hard to provide an authentic Portuguese experience and their place is lovely. No hesitation to recommend staying here!Huge tiled bathroom. Big warm room. Amazing bar across the street. Super quiet. The usual white bread and packaged bad ham for breakfast, so don't bother. A bit hard to find - just park outside the walls and carry in an overnight bag. Very safe to walk. The drive in is harrowing! ! Lovely parlor for a nightcap and fireplace roaring away. This was a very special Christmas night stay. I loved it!

Review 6：In the middle of Obidos old city, It was really nice finding a hotel in the centre of Obidos. We just had to leave the hotel and were in the middle of the "action"

Review 7：staff not very friendly, rearyless i find someone at the reception. On the second day my there was no water in the bathroom specificaly in the toilet bowl, I reported to the staff when I came back I found a gallon of water for me to put in the toilet, they expect me to clean the toilet myself(??). The manager said they were able to change my room but they were unable to find me(??), I didn't not travel to Obidos to be locked up in a room. It was their obligation to contact me. I think they easily could leave a note in my room but as I said the reception was oftem empty.after complaint I had 14 eutros deducted from my bill.

Review 9：No hot water in the middle of the afternoon. Also the coffee was the worst I have had in years so that is why I did not rate breakfast good. Otherwise if the coffee had been better I would have rated it higher.

Review 59：This hotel is in a tourist trap of Obidos, a fairly nice old hilltop town that is run over by tourist busses, holiday travelers from Portugal and elseware, and only a day-trip from Lisbon. Parking in town is non-existent during Spring, Summer, Fall. You will have to schlep your luggage many yards into town. The Hotel is a well ru , breakfast is good, rooms are quiet. But why go here when there is a wonderful Portugal to be explored easily elsewhere? Try Evora, Monsanto, even Buccao and Navare, and beyond! Be ware, you have been warned!

Review 60：Some small items need to be fixed, TV old and no remote, toilet had slow water drip but did not leak, lighting inadequate - but these were small issues and did not affect our stay.

Review 77：On arrival the receptionist was not welcoming nor did she provide us with any information about the hotel or local info. Booking.com had indicated that you could pay using visa card however the hotel had a sign on the counter saying visa was not working. This sign looked as though it had been there for years. We had to go and get atm machine money to pay We had to ask about wii fi. .the hotel didn't give this to us.wii fi at the hotel was unreliable. Overall it was very disappointing

Review 79：It was very dark. The charge machine was not working. In retrospect we woudn't stay in Obidos. A half day is enough. One wonderful exception were the marvelous tapas and fado at Bar Arco Da Cadeia.

Review 82：Hotel is on the main street. We left the car outsite the walls on the parking because streets are really narrow. Room was a bit old and need refreshing. It was dark inside. After 7pm everything in Obidos was closed and there was nothing to do.

Review 83：The staff could not have been nicer. Had requested a room with balcony. When we arrived were told balcony room was very small for 3 and would we like to see larger room. We switched rooms to larger one. Most hotels would not have taken the time to do this.

Review 84：The Visa machine wasn't working so I had to use the cash to pay which I didn't want to do and we brought very little cash. They should have an internet payment option or a manual card detail taking if the VISA machine is off line. We also had a huge cockroach in our room when we opened the door and the staff member that night did try and search the room but it was too quick for us. They did offer to move us to another room but as we arrived so late and my 9 month was already in the cot I opted not to.

Review 85：It's location. They were decent enough to also wait up for us as I called ahead to say we will be late as we got lost on the way there.

It was nice, comfortable and clean.Breakfast was included, as a buffet, with some fruits, breads, and hotdishes. We only stayed one night, and probably it was enough for thesize of the town.
