Reviews for Jackson Hole Lodge

Review 1:Mary at the front desk was amazing! Upgraded our room, answered all questions and was soo helpful and accommodating. Pool and hot tub was our favorite. We can't wait to come back.

Review 2:The beds are awful. For what you pay, one would expect the room to not be so tired and old. Hot water ran out after first shower with three people staying in the room. WiFi never worked. Bathroom floors did not appear to be swept well.

Review 3:Location to Jackson Hole is wonderful. It was quiet in the evenings. Good sized suite with bedroom, 1.5 bath, living and kitchen area.

Review 4:Pool out of commission, smelly dumpster close to room, tiny bathroom, bathroom fan as loud as a helicopter....expensive for what it was!

Review 5:Close to everything

Review 6:Very small bathroom. Price higher than facilities at other places we've stayed. No breakfast.

Review 7:Clean, convenient to down town, lots of features, pool, fire pit, etc. Interesting history.

Review 8:The entire room experience was totally BAD. It is not 3 star. It should not be rated.

Review 9:Only thing good about this place is walking distance to town center.

Review 10:Parking was horrible. They put us way down on one end and we ended up parking off the site because the grounds were so crowded. Outside of hotel needs remodeled badly. No view whatsoever and discovered the floor was soak and wet by the wall after we'd moved everything in the room.

Review 11:The pool & hot tub were nice. The rooms had been remodeled.

Review 12:Room was very small, motel from the 80's basically. But, very very clean!!!!

Review 13:There was a little restaurant on the property that has great grilled cheese and soup. I know that sounds funny to comment on but it was super yummy. As we looked around it seemed other diners has good food too.

Review 14:The dim lighting created a depressing atmosphere to our stay. The dim bathroom lighting made applying makeup difficult. There are alternative types of energy-efficient lighting such as LED bulbs.

Review 15:The location was convenient to town. Staff was helpful.

Review 16:While not a bad experience, we would not stay there again. No breakfast, water pressure in the shower was low with the shower head being ok for someone short. The room we had was next to the office with a connecting door and we could hear people talking in the office during the day,

Review 17:The fire pit and pool/hot tub were the best part of the facility.

Review 18:Jackson Hole center is too far to walk.

Review 19:We were upgraded to 1st floor suite which had two bathrooms, kitchen, living/dining area and back door porch. A number of stores close by for food, souvenirs etc but Jackson Hole center a little far to walk for the 60+ age group. Would consider rebooking for longer stay.

Review 20:Love the convenience to walking into town. Spacious rooms and quiet location. Fully equipped suite including laundry machines.

Review 21:I love the fact that we were upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise. The rooms were huge and very comfortable.

Review 22:The parking situation is a bit tight here, but we had no issues getting a spot. The kitchen is a bit outdated, but it worked.

Review 23:Friendly staff, quiet, clean. The suite here (w/ kitchen and living room) is very nice and seemed to be good value compared to other places we stayed. The location is great...short walking distance to pretty much anywhere in downtown Jackson.

Review 24:Comfy beds, huge outdoor hot tub that always has room, clean facilities, super nice staff, easy parking, and awesome walkable location in downtown Jackson.

Review 25:Property needed paint job. You could hear every footstep of people on second floor above you. Not a bad motel, but certainly not as great as its advertisements would suggest.

Review 26:Location was excellent. Easy walk to downtown area!

Review 27:Toilet-shower room a "little" tight. Main entry door to room difficult to shut securely...needs a little attention.

Review 28:Location. Decor was fun, beds comfortable, and room was clean.

Review 29:Difficult getting our luggage into our room. It was rather noisy with the floor above squeaking a lot. Bathroom was rather small.

Review 30:Location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 31:There was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom - sour shower curtain and slight urine odor on the floor.

Review 32:Interesting Western decor suite with large rooms, 1 1/2 baths, a kitchen and a washer and dryer. Mike at the desk was extremely helpful and deserves noting. The surfaces in the suite were very clean.

Review 33:The fact that you set us up in a room on the 2nd floorthat did not have hot water. You did change the room on 2nd day of stay..you said you were going to help move our bags to first level..but you did not. You knew the room did not have hot water!! Thought it rude that you offered no assistance. We would not have had to move if you did not put us there in the first place.

Review 34:loved the pool, hot tub, fire pit

Review 35:Window air conditioners sound like helicopters. Bathroom unbelievably small (though very clean) with a fan that sounded like a jet airplane and came on automatically with the light. Not good, very loud.

Review 36:Good value, very nice staff, good WiFi, comfortable (enough) beds. Location good enough for value-- you really can walk to downtown Jackson, but you are not in the heart of downtown.

Review 37:We had a ground floor room, and it was a bit noisy. We could hear the guests upstairs walking around.

Review 38:It was clean and located close to shopping/restaurants. It was not as expensive as many of the other hotels in Jackson. We liked the rustic decor.

Review 39:The first day it was a lady to take care of me, she was at first a little bit antipathic, I think because of my foreing accent, after she get my talking she improve a litle bit. After a guy, as usual, was much more gentle. hahaha

Review 40:The first day, they gave me a laut room, the second day a nice suite for same price.

Review 41:We were surprised by the spacious accommodation at the lodge. Really more of an apartment or condo unit with all the amenities and in excellent condition. Close enough to town square that we never used the car.

Review 42:Property is old and needs updating, no early breakfast or any food at all,no coffee except the poor coffee in the room.Bathroom was very small the room had a mildew smell to it. Would not stay here for any length of time other than one day.

Review 43:Location was very close to Car rental drop and downtown Jackson hole and Dinner. This was our last night stay before flying out at 7:00 AM the next day.

Review 44:Everything else, like: A bathroom that I measured at 4'6" by 4'9", a record! No place to park, so had to park on a back street. The front office was closed from 10p.m. to 7a.m.!!! At these prices I could not imagine closing the whole office for 9 hours every day. The pool was being redone, leaving a mess everywhere and big trash containers taking up about 6 parking spaces. The bed was just so-so, the air-conditioner was noisy, and the shower didn't have enough pressure for my wife to rinse her hair. I have given mediocre reviews before, but this was the worst I have ever experienced. Need I say more?

Review 45:Almost nothing but the location

Review 46:It was the end of the season and very clear everyone was over it

Review 47:The view

Review 48:Noise

Review 49:Price

Review 50:The owner was delightful and helpful in finding a place to eat and souvenir shop. Adorable, comfortable and wonderful place to stay.

Review 51:No high-definition TV channels.

Review 52:Convenient location to downtown Jackson.

Review 53:It was convenient, looked like it had a nice pool and fire pit; we didn't get a chance to use, was cold and rainy.

Review 54:Internet was bad, could not connect at all

Review 55:The facility

Review 56:not cheap, but nothing is in Jackson!

Review 57:easy stroll into town, but far enough out to be nice & peaceful at night: cutely rustic room; easy to find

Review 58:Small outdated bathroom

Review 59:Location

Review 60:Great location!

Review 61:Hotel was dated and needed repairs

Review 62:Room was fantastic with all the home comforts you could want from a suite. Outside pool was small but still enjoyed our dips.

Review 63:The whole thing

Review 64:Facility was great

Review 65:WiFi down for 4 of 6 days. Parking very small area to park.

Review 66:The small kitchen - but fine for 2 people

Review 67:Not a good value for the cost. Limited hot water for shower, limited towels for one person.

Review 68:really not worth the money - musky room outside poolon a road no breakfast

Review 69:Location close to town

Review 70:No view

Review 71:Close to west yellow stone

Review 72:We enjoyed the rafting-sight seeing

Review 73:Musty smell in our room, poor WiFi

Review 74:Pool and fire pit were the best parts

Review 75:Nothing was bad.

Review 76:The pool was very nice, especially after a long day hiking or biking.

Review 77:I've never been in such a small bathroom. You couldn't even turn around. It was awful.

Review 78:The location was good. The fire pit was awesome.

Review 79:The door knob to the small porch broke off in my hand. Hence, last day of stay we had no porch to get outside.

Review 80:The homeyness of the historic lodge.

Review 81:The whole experience was excellent. Very friendly staff and rooms were very cozy. Loved the fireplace.

Review 82:front desk was extremely unhelpful and rude.

Review 83:spa has been updated,

Review 84:It needed a little freshening up outdoors .

Review 85:Loved the location, was a good place for the money. The fire pit was very inviting.

Review 86:Needed more pillows in the room.

Review 87:They upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost.

Review 88:here was nothing not to like

Review 89:No shower and no one to fix it. Desk advised that it was the maintenance man's day off.

Review 90:Up-graded the room to a suite

Review 91:Great staff, very helpful. And the HOT TUB…wow!

Review 92:No breakfast untl 7am. No table in room.

Review 93:View. Clean. Nice laundry room.

Review 94:room a bit cramped

Review 95:cleanliness and kindness

Review 96:Old and dated

Review 97:Carpet was dirty in the living/dinning room

Review 98:Location, location, location

Review 99:bedding and rooms were dated and worn

Review 100:location

Review 101:the folks working there are great

Review 102:Convenient location. Staff very friendly.

Review 103:Tired furnishings, poor sound insulation

Review 104:Location, clean

Review 105:Lodge backs to busy street. Can be noisy if you leave windows open at night!

Review 106:Very conveniently located to services and downtown Jackson.

Review 107:Average WIFI service. Did not restock coffee each morning

Review 108:The location was great. Also very comfortable. Large rooms, nicely equipped kitchen.

Review 109:Hmmm...only complaint is the pillow was too "full" for me. Just a personal choice.

Review 110:Pleasant surprise that we got upgraded to a King suite. Location is great..short walk to Jackson Square. Two bathrooms was nice too.

Review 111:Almost no parking, horrid street construction, exterior looked so shabby I was blown away by the contrast to the interior. Poor exterior lighting. Squeaky stairs. Honestly you walk up to shabbiness and enter luxury. Once inside you quickly forget everything outside. It fit the booking.com commercials exactly, I laughed out loud at the similarity. Walking up I was glad I hadn't embarrassed my wife by bringing her here. Once inside I was kicking myself that she couldn't enjoy it with me as I staggered from room to room taking in the amenities.

Review 112:The interior greatly exceeded my expectations. The place is literally a home away from home. It feels like an apartment instead of a hotel room. Full kitchen (yes full). Two full baths (yes full). Washer and Dryer. Ample living room. Gas fireplace. Plenty of comfortable seating. Two LCD TVs. Balcony. Jacuzzi tub. Really nice view. Comfort rich, warm, quiet and clean. I would happily book here again or recommend.

Review 113:Being at the end of the season, things seemed a little dingy. Although it wasn't the Lodge's fault, construction was a little annoying.

Review 114:Very spacious room with kitchenette.

Review 115:Not much in your power, but the construction made it a bit tricky to getin and out. I realize this is temporary. The bathroom is tiny, but okexcept the fan is very noisy; it must disturb neighbors.

Review 116:I registered on-line and looked at many other hotels; the others wouldnot give me the mid-week price if Saturday were included but jhl did. That ultimately made my decision. Everything was as presented, verycomfortable. I slept well, comfortable mattress; could set my own roomtemperature.

Review 117:The bed was a queen size, and for a couple, it really should be king size.

Review 118:Nice kitchen stocked with silverware, pots, pans, and dishes. Pleasant decor.

Review 119:When we were there the roads were under construction. It made itdifficult to get in and out of the lodge.

Review 120:I loved the location of the lodge. The accommodations were largerthan expected.

Review 121:The place was totally over priced. We found the place to be very dirty. When we arrived the toilet had a dirt rim inside and the seat andoutside of it looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. Icalled about it and a young man came and cleaned only the inside. I hadsome wipes so I ended up cleaning the outside of the toilet.

Review 122:Nothing - it was dirty! Very out dated. Never stay there again or tellour friends about this place. Very very disappointed!!!

Review 123:Room becoming dated, lots of road noise, found a load of nut shells leftunder the bed which brings into question the quality of cleaning.

Review 124:Good location within centre of Jackson, giving easy access toNational Park.

Review 125:Old. efforts to refurbish will not be enough. floors are uneven, from stairs to second floor is an unexpected inch+ change, old bed, shower/toilet was extremely small. When our second night card did not open the door, only person at desk blamed me for not keeping cell phone and cards separated. never in the same pocket, on different people. Not told of limit. "You will have to come to the desk". Not told that there is major road construction all along one side and major traffic noise from both sides. Not pleasant. At best, a 1 star.

Review 126:I have seen super 8's in better condition than this place. Very old.Looked as though the place was about to come down. You could barely getinto the bath/toilet area. There was mold around tub area. For whatI was charged this place was terrible. The only reason they were to getaway with charging so much was it is a tourist destination.

Review 127:We loved the suite room and hated to leave. It was like being home; maybe better. Was complete with full kitchen and laundry, fireplace, and whirlpool.

Review 128:the lodge is locates directly on the main highway trough town, rather old, the photo galerie on the website looks much better then in reality, especially the pool.

Review 129:We had booked a suite, which was huge with kitchen, fireplace, eating area and a sleeping room with two bathroms. For 200 dollar per night it was a good value for the money. staff was friendly.
