Reviews for Vladimir Hotel
Review 1:Very noisy rooms! Felt like our neighbour's bathroom was in our room! The receptionist tried to charge an extra £100 on arrival as she couldn't understand the booking.com confirmation letter, I speak Russian so managed to sort it out. Don't think I would have been as successful in English!
Review 2:Good location right by the station&town centre. Breakfast was included but wasn't replenished very readily so not much choice or availability due to buffet style.
Review 3:Spacious, clean, centrally located hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's very close to the train & bus stations (5 minute walk) and located along Vladimir's main drag; we couldn't have asked for a more convenient location. The room was large and comfortable and featured a window that opened (a desirable feature, even in winter), the staff spoke English and entertained our feeble attempts at speaking Russian with good humor. The food, drink, and service at the restaurant was also great. We loved Vladimir, and we were very impressed by the Vladimir Hotel!
Review 4:My room was in a separate wing with no internal connection to the main building. Not many choices for breakfast -- choices limited.
Review 5:Close to Train Station and on main road to Golden Gate. Receptionists can speak English.
Review 6:Unluckily I had a strange neighbour, who opened his door every so often as he was hanging his washed clothes on the corridor, it was quite noisy and a bit scary if someone would open my door. Room was very small, but it is what I paid for.
Review 7:Location - easy access to both station and city centre Friendly receptionists
Review 8:Nothing really, except the room decorations in various shades of sickly brown and green which reflect the Intourist past of this property. And a light on top of the bathroom mirror would have been handy for shaving.
Review 9:Old Soviet-style hotel near train and bus stations and within walking distance of the main sights. Good, spacious rooms with huge bathrooms; friendly, courteous staff and lavish breakfast buffet.
Review 10:The wi-fi connection was not very good. Several times I couldn't get online. The first night (out of two) there was some noise coming from the courtyard which my room faced - maybe a ventilator.
Review 11:The breakfast was very good, the staff was nice, and the location was quite convenient - close to the train station and the main sights.
Review 12:Nothing for one night stay.
Review 13:Close to the stations. There is an ATM with red color, with which one can withdraw money by using a Unionpay card. The breakfast was good.
Review 14:Very small rooms in the back building.Uncomfortable and ugly.Kitchen smell in the room and on the bed sheets,no air conditioning. Expensive for this low quality.
Review 15:The location: near the train station.
Review 16:We thought there is lift in the hotel so we chose upper storey room. After arrived, we were told that our room locates in another building of the hotel with no lift. We requested to change room but was rejected. I think the room description should indicate this clearly to avoid confusion.
Review 17:Location is convenient. Water machine in corridor is nice.
Review 18:I was in a building around the back and it wasn't wonderful. The carpets were dirty and it didn't even have a kettle in the room. For 2500p a night you'd expect a little more. I stayed in a place in Tomsk for half the price with a kettle and a fridge.
Review 19:It's quite close to the centre of town and the Assumption Cathedral is just a short walk away. It's also just up the hill from the bus and train station. There's a good pizza restaurant on the ground floor, just around the corner from the entrance. Wifi wasn't too bad. The buffet breakfast was good and filling.
Review 20:Old interiors and badly isolated from noise outside room. Paid parking. Make sure you are getting a room in main building if you mind being accommodated in the extension inside internal yard.
Review 21:Location near centre of town. Rich buffet breakfast, fresh and tasty. Minibar prices acceptable. Excellent wifi. Although there is little competition in town, you will still receive an acceptable comfort and service for your overnight stay.
Review 22:Was surprised to find no tea or coffee in the room but we had cups and kettle, I suggest it would be great to have it like in all English hotels. Also, shower could be updated and towels could be better quality. But overall great value for money.
Review 23:We liked spacious rooms and it was very warm and cosy
Review 24:No toothbrush and toothpaste.
Review 25:Even though I didn't asked, I got my visa registered, and I got it quick. The staffs really did speak and understand English. They were also friendly and helpful. There was a coffee vending machine in the lobby.
Review 26:The decoration and furniture are rather old, but not bad anyway. Unfortunately, the Internet connection was only available in the hall, but it was bad.
Review 27:Location is good, not far from the railway and bus stations and the main attractions. There are also a few cafes / restaurants nearby. The room and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was huge! Overall the service was fairly good.
Review 28:On checking in we were informed that since the reservation was through Booking.com we were being given rooms in the annexe which did not have an elevator and wifi. Further, the rooms were too poky. With two narrow beds in the room there was no space to even move freely. I had to seek the Director's intervention to get accommodation in the main block. This needs to be resolved with the Hotel for future.
Review 29:Not enough servers at breakfast, so that things were slow to be replenished when they ran out. No tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. Bed was a little too soft for comfort, and bathroom smelt musty.
Review 30:Getting the quiet room that I requested. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast on the terrace. Very convenient location, nice building.
Review 31:the room for 1 person was not all that good
Review 32:Nothing
Review 33:Close to station
Review 34:没有
Review 35:酒店环境好 舒适
Review 36:Reserved with breakfast but staff said no breakfast included
Review 37:Room Location
Review 38:Door isolation
Review 39:Location on the main street and 5 min walk to the railway station
Review 40:Very small room and very bad soundproof.
Review 41:The location. Near the train station and the bus station.
Review 42:all
Review 43:nothing
Review 44:Very closed to train and bus station
Review 45:Staff attention and room facilities. There is no Wi-Fi and the room they gave us had 2 single beds although we requested a double bed
Review 46:Location
Review 47:I found the bed a bit uncomfortable and I could not get the wifi to work.
Review 48:A good location at a reasonable cost with a good breakfast.
Review 49:poor bed matraces poor breafast
Review 50:good loacation, within walking distance from the train station helpful reception staff
Review 51:beds were a little uncomfortable (springs poking through)
Review 52:location helpful and efficient staff clean
Review 53:Hauling my luggage up the stairs. No elevator.
Review 54:They need to fix the wifi to work in the rooms. " Only in public spaces "means you get to set on a couch by the elevator with a lot of children streaming video if you are lucky sometimes here are so many children you must stand or sit on the floor to check your email. At one point I was trying to deal with a banking issue and 14 children came yelling in to get hot chocolate. This happened each of my 3 nights. Do not expect to be able to conduct business or keep in touch with friends and family the set up is quite ridiculous and not appropriate for adult guests to have to subject themselves to such circumstances.
Review 55:Nice size comfortable rooms.
Review 56:Room the size of a shoebox. Could hear the announcements from the train station all night long. Very noisy.
Review 57:Close to the train station. Excellent breakfast. Water station on our floor. We were in the new block around the corner. Bathroom was very clean and looked recently renovated.
Review 58:No lifts in the new buildings, and we lived on the 4th floor with 2 huge cases. Poor wifi there. No fan for hairdrying.
Review 59:Great location, and the price was quite fair. Also a super delicious pizza shop right next to it, and incredibly cheap. Hot drinking water in the corridor.
Review 60:No wifi, dirty sheets, no sound isolation, no hot water in the evening, no elevator
Review 61:Very good location close to the train station, friendly staff, acceptable for staying one or two nights.
Review 62:Room smelled like smoke, even though it was nonsmoking.
Review 63:Room was large, staff spoke English well, breakfast included, location was great, right by train station and within walking distance of all major sights.
Review 64:no elevator in the annex and no direct connection with the lobby.
Review 65:Situation, confort, cleanness. Even in the annex, the rooms were completely renovated.
Review 66:First of all the rooms with so-called category "Lux" (with price about 100 euro per night) do not satisfy the requirements for 1* hotel. They were repaired visualy after soviet union with established soviet union mentality (in case of inspection they are formally repaired): old cracks are painted, dunnage cast-iron pallet with bad painting, wich they call shower cubicle, cracks on ceiling, wires along the walls. Small toilet (plastic walls with cracks) without ventilation. No slippers, which were announced on booking.com. I am afraid to think what is a Standard room in this hotel. The public place for smoking seems like the garage for trucks (plaster, wires, mud): you'll never think that you are in 3* hotel in the center of Vladimir city (historical capital of Russia). I could recommend this hotel only for former USSR citizens which needs to feel nostalgic for Perestroyka times with bottle of rasputin alcohol.
Review 67:The only one thing about this hotel could be called attractive - the location. The reception place is also satisfactory. All other terms of the hotel leaved only negative impressions.
Review 68:standard room is very small,we were in the second building, the restaurant for breakfast need to go out
Review 69:good location, good ambience, nice staff, staff ready to help, in the restaurant cooked broth us at our request..very cleanliness..
Review 70:The first night I got a room that was in an extremly bad shape and very very dirty.
Review 71:The manager was very friendly. We got a good room for the rest of our stay. As we where staying as a group I saw 4 different rooms. 3 of them where good for the value of money paid. One of them bad. Alltogether the hotel is good for the price paid.
Review 72:the double-room was small even for one person! terrible...both rooms were not located in the main building, one had to get to another building through a dim, covered in mud and water, parking. breakfast was rather poor. Pizzeria next to the entrance full of drunk people. The whole experience was reminiscent of the worst Soviet hotels. Would not recommend the hotel to anybody.
Review 73:Not much, except perhaps that it is close to the railway station
Review 74:Very weak wifi in room. It's not a double bed room which we had requested in our booking. The room is not in the main building of the hotel, rather we were asked to walk to another building next to it which was not convenient especially we arrived very late that night
Review 75:It's located near to Vladimir Pass Train station and bus station (to Suzdal and some other places). It's also walking distance to other tourist spots like the Golden Gate and cathedrals.
Review 76:Armchairs in the room were greesy. In the bathroom we found a bandaid plaster on the soap tank, left from the previous tourists. It was very cold at night, though the weather outside was not less than 0. Eggs for the breakfast were too oily.
Review 77:Generally a good hotel to stay for 2 nights.
Review 78:Our room is in the new building behind the old one, wifi there is very unstable.
Review 79:Location is great -- just minutes' walk from the bus/train station. The cathedrals and museums are with walking distance also. There are some restaurants near the hotel, and supermarkets on the way to the cathedrals.
Review 80:No air conditioner but it was ok when we opened the window which brought some mosquitoes and other bugs though. But for that rate and location, no complaints at all.
Review 81:Convenient location and very affordable rates. They also let you check in early for an additional 1050 roubles so if you are arriving early or checking out early to catch a train at 3AM like we did, you can't find a better place in Vladimir. The staff speak English and help you with everything. However when we arrived at 5 in the morning, the lady at the reception couldn't speak any English and we had a hard time communicating.
Review 82:The hotel room is located in a separate building from the check-in place. In addition, the room doesn't come with AC and WIFI, we have to go the check in lobby to go on internet which is really inconvenient for us.
Review 83:The hotel is really close to everything else in the town, such as the train station and bus terminal.
Review 84:Internet only in public spaces. Like most of Russia staff may not speak english or appear as helpful. Require a little nudge. (:( Budget friendly basic small room good for sleeping only.
Review 85:The location was excellent. Close to bus and train station. We walked from the train/bus station to the hotel with our luggage. Good for a one night stay when visiting Sudzal and Vladimir. A good stop when traveling between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. Budget-friendly breakfast included. Nice public spaces.
Review 86:Noisy maids yelling in the corridor, dirty fridge, terrible acousticisolation of the room ("carton" door and walls), slowwaiters at breakfast. WiFi is not working in the room, only in thehall of the floor.
Review 87:Excellent and convenient location (train/bus station nearby, as wellas all city historical attraction), good restaurant (for lunch anddinner), good view of windows to old monastery. More or less goodbreakfast.
Review 88:Avoid the pizzeria near to the hotel.
Review 89:The hotel is near to train and bus stations, just a few minutes uphillwalk. Do not forget to visit the romantic village of suzdal, with itsmany onion-shaped church towers: a bus leaves every 30 minutes from thebus station, it takes about 1 hour to get there. In suzdal, go torestaurant 'kharchevnya'!
Review 90:No wifi in cheaper rooms, and there should be a connecting corridor tothe main hotel, not a separate back entrance. Also, all approach areasto both buildings were totally frozen (no salt ever applied) making itextremely difficult with luggage.
Review 91:Cosy warm rooms & comfy beds (even the cheaper rooms)
Review 92:Excellent location -- less than 5 min walk from train station and is on the one of the main roads of Vladimir. About 10 min walk to the cathedrals, or 5 min walk to the bus station (for buses to Suzdal or Moscow). The room is clean and pretty good value for money. It is one of the major hotels in the city and used to be state-run -- it does offer pretty good quality!
Review 93:Soundproofing, soviet style design, bit dirty
Review 94:Water is not hot enough. The shop with toothbrushes&other stuff is closed too early.
Review 95:Location is good, right in the downtown. Tasty breakfast.
Review 96:WiFi is only in public area. TV set from the Century XX.
Review 97:Nice location in historical core of Vladimir and a half kilometre from railway station.
Review 98:No amenity in the standard room.
Review 99:The location was great. Clean and cheap!
Review 100:the ordered double bed was two single beds of terrible quality
Review 101:non-smoking in the corridors
Review 102:Old Style
Review 103:Need to get water in public area, no hot water Wifi not available in rooms
Review 104:Not too far from train station and easy access to attractions
Review 105:There is no ac
Review 106:Location View Food
Review 107:Wi-fi works only on reception desk
Review 108:Location, stuff, parlking.
Review 109:It wasn't so clean
Review 110:Good breakfast. Good position, close to the railway station and the city center
Review 111:Staffs are not so friendly and helpful.
Review 112:The location us quite good.
Review 113:The staff was unfriendly and the facilities are very basic.
Review 114:Conveniently located,
Review 115:Staff , Location
Review 116:Windows do not have screens. Beware Mosquitos in the summer. Walls very thin.
Review 117:Location very convenient.

Review 119:Equipment Rooms clean
Review 120:Small room, no air conditioning
Review 121:Location, rooms were clean, good toilet
Review 122:Nothing.
Review 123:Clean and comfortable hotel, just a short walk from railway station. Room and bathroom newly fitted. Good restaurant. Excellent value.
Review 124:I don't like pillow from hotel
Review 125:Very good location n clean room...
Review 126:No internet access in the rooms, single rooms are very poor and small.
Review 127:Perfect location, pretty good value for money.
Review 128:good
