Reviews for Snow King Resort
Review 1:Great hotel! Friendly staff and very spacious in the rooms and lobby areas. Rooms were very comfortable. Everything for the slopes are in the hotel, which is very handy. Free local bus that takes you into town as well as the hotels own shuttles (airport etc).
Review 2:No justification for a resort fee. All amenities were pretty standard hotel amenities and do not justify a resort fee. Pet fee is also unnecessary. Charge more if necessary at check out for extra clean up but not up front. I guarantee my pet made less of a mess than guests with children who surely aren't charged this fee.
Review 3:Did not like the surprise $29/day resort fee upon arrival, which they said was to pay for accessing the shuttle, wifi, pool, hot tub, business center, etc. There is no room service available. There was no closet in the room. No extra blankets. A/C unit was loud. Jets in hot tub were non-existent.
Review 4:Great location to access Jackson Hole, definitely walkable! Pick up point for START bus and other public transportation. Hotel shuttle picks you up at the airport - round-trip available, just need to make a reservation. Pool and hot tub very nice. Hotel restaurant very nice with good selection of beverages and food choices. Hotel room comfortable. Most room requests were accommodated. Nice to have a balcony and a view of the resort mountain.
Review 5:- there is no room to keep the snowboards/skies overnight, you have to store them in your room, and for such an expensive hotel it should be provided - no fridge in the room - the pillow cases had a wierd smell, but they change it when we asked - pay attention to extra fees that hotel will add to the invoice like: resort fee ($20 per day), lodging taxes and sales taxes, for 9 night there was aprox $350 extra for us.
Review 6:- nice location, with the slope near the hotel - friendly and helpful personnel - clean room - free shuttle to teton village and from the airport and back
Review 7:Air conditioning too loud and uncontrollable, dogs barking in adjacent rooms, restaurant staff inattentive or having poor English, drafty reception area, wet carpet smell at reception and near lifts, ice machines not on same floor
Review 8:Location next to major ski facility, rooms were fine, views very good, close to town, restaurant food quality very good
Review 9:Mix-up on the first day pick up from the airport to the hotel. The foods at the Hayden Posts were quite bad as they have totally revamped the menu and I was made to wait for my breakfast on the first day for an hour. I was told by the manager that the chef-in-charge was late coming into the kitchen. After that incident, I have never stepped into the restaurant.
Review 10:Near to Snow King ski area and also the first pick-up point for city bus to Jackson Hole ski resort.
Review 11:We loved everything, although the restaurant was a little pricey.
Review 12:The bedroom was amazing, very comfortable and clean. The staff was helpful and kind, including the team who runs the ski equipment store. It was a great experience.
Review 13:It was a one night stay in Jackson Hole, this hotel would be very crowded during winter, skiing season. Very nice location to visit Elk Refuge, close to city center where you can find nice restaurants. The restaurant inside the hotel is also very nice too. For our visit the price was very affordable, but might be expensive during the season..
Review 14:Resort fee was charged and the amenities were very common to any hotel. There were no bathrobes, no refrigerator, the cheapest plastic glasses known to mankind. The room itself was just a hotel room. Nothing super special.
Review 15:Staff was super helpful and friendly. Location was gorgeous.
Review 16:No clean sheets, no microwave,no refrig. We booked room with a beautiful view, but got the parking lot! Told them we were not happy & they refunded our money. Won't be back!!!
Review 17:Felt that it was over priced for facilities. Staff initially stated we did not have reservation and they could not give us a room although we had booked ahead with booking.com and had the confirmation. Dining one night in their restaurant was very loud with TV turned way up at request of another guest and very expensive meal. Would not stay there again.
Review 18:Clean room with comfortable bed.
Review 19:The rooms on the first floor have an odd smell - like animal urine. Weird. The restaurant is very mediocre for the price.
Review 20:Great location in town - too bad about all the construction going on onsite. Friendly staff.
Review 21:Noisy room from air conditioning outside room i think. Poor experience with restaurant staff took ,35min go bring drink ordered on sitdown then forgot meal order so brought both entrée and main meal to me together. Did give me a complementary glass of wine in apology with effect.
Review 22:Hotel staff
Review 23:Facility was disappointing for the price. Staff at check in was so so. Hair dryer didn't work. Heating was either too hot or cold - hard to regulate. Check out person refunded the "resort" fee. I found it comical that that even was a "resort" fee.
Review 24:Disappointed in the facility anenities and room view for the price
Review 25:At check-in we were informed that they had overbooked the "king rooms" and we would be "upgraded" to a one bedroom apartment. After dragging our luggage up the stairs (because there was elevator) we were greeted with an extremely outdated room. Where was the plush king size bed with the beautifully appointed bathroom with granite?!? We returned to the front desk after once again dragging our belongings down the stairs. The front desk person informed us that magically she had found a "queen room" which we could have. We entered the room with trepidation after our last experience. There were crushed beer cans in the closet, tons of unruly hairs in clumps all over, a bath tub with a faucet that dripped constantly into a rust stained tub, the hot and cold knobs were dangling off the wall, and there were what appeared to be a wrench/ tool part left next to the toilet by yet another clump of hair. The room we were given also had a paper thin door....we piled pillows in front of the door in hopes to make a sound buffer but that was not successful. The hallway noise was outrageous. We were given free breakfast buffet cards for our troubles. We went at about 9am and were promptly seated. We waited about 12 minutes without any service before we gave up and went ahead and checked-out. Also there is not a "breakfast buffet" as advertised on the card or by the front desk.
Review 26:Fairly close to the shops and restaurants of Jackson, WY.
Review 27:We went to the restaurant; had to wait to be seated as their was no host. Our server took a long time to take our order; we had to ask another server to even send him to our table. In the morning, waited 45 min to get receipt when we checked out. We didn't eat breakfast there as we thought it would take too long.
Review 28:Room was very comfortable.
Review 29:toilet was plugged upon our arrival. This meant that the wife had to use the public facility near the restaurant.
Review 30:Location close to town. In hotel restaurant.
Review 31:On the 1st day our room was flooded due to a broken pipe in the ceiling in the bathroom. We changed rooms & were never offered any compensation. There weren't any refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms & no continental breakfast was offered. Not a value of any sort. Worst experience of my life in a Hotel room! Also after I checked out on Sept. 5th, the next day I was charged $385.89 for that night & I wasn't even there!! Unauthorized charges & I had to fight with accounting to get my money back!!!!!!!!!!!
Review 32:The bathroom had long hairs on the walls and in the shower. Both my husband and I have short hair. Not cool. Tube needed some bleach taken to it.
Review 33:The room was quiet, quite well taken care of. Great bed. Pillows we too fat for me. Hot tub was great. Too Cold to go swimming though.
Review 34:they attempted to bait and switch us. telling us they had no king bed rooms left and would it be ok if we took a queen bed room. I said no and then voila they had a king bed room. certain it was a classic "bait and switch maneuver"
Review 35:received room that had been smoked in and it wasn't that clean at all. We found things all over in the room and even in our clothing drawer that shouldn't be there in a hotel. Sigh too much money I won't book there again. Better deals out there
Review 36:some of staff was friendly
Review 37:The lighting above the sink was very poor and too high. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator. The value doesn't match the price of the room.
Review 38:The staff was great and very accomodating.
Review 39:All good!
Review 40:Loved the proximity to restaurants and shops in town, as well as the nearby hiking and mountain biking trails on Snow King Mountain. Enjoyed pool and hot tub. Alpine slide was lots of fun. Food at Hayden's Post was excellent.
Review 41:Room was okay but nothing like I would expect for a rate of nearly $500/night. Also, there was a considerable amount of noise from the activities/guests at the restaurant and pool below when I was trying to sleep (was after 10 PM). Also, it was a little confusing trying to find our room.
Review 42:Staff friendly. Lobby and pool beautiful.
Review 43:It was summer at a ski resort, and this meant that understandably there was building works around the hotel. This made us decide against using the pool in the morning
Review 44:We arrived late, so were looking for a hotel fairly close to the airport. This was about 20 min away.
Review 45:My mom and I stayed 2 nights, one on either end of our trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. The first night was noisy (on the main floor, next to the ice machine, barking pets, and lots of people coming and going). I had a difficult time sleeping.
Review 46:The staff was very nice, accommodating, and cheerful. After a noisy first night, we were moved to a much quieter room on the top floor with a view of the Grand Teton. It was a nice upgrade, and it made me feel valued as a guest.
Review 47:On a Saturday morning with a check out time of noon AND the privacy sign out on our door I was shocked that housekeeping would knock on our door at 10:00 am for any reason, but it happened. One of the elevators was broken as was the ice machine on our floor. on a sunny afternoon at the pool it would have been nice to have pool service from the bar.
Review 48:The room was clean and comfortable. This resort has the potential to be a great getaway stay with luxury but there were a few things they need to work on.
Review 49:Lots of loud construction going on at property during our stay. Staff did not relay this to us at check in and our room was directly in front of ongoing work. Once we entered room and felt the windows shake from the heavy machinery we called the front desk and inquired about a different room location. The stated they would look and call right back and never did.
Review 50:The bed.
Review 51:Beds not changed going on 4 nights and no extra toilet paper. Shower didn't work. Laundry room hours not unforced so noisy people at 1:00 a m No fridge no microwave. AC so noisy couldn't sleep. This at $300 per night.
Review 52:The location is great for accessing both town and outdoor activities.
Review 53:Noisy air conditioner. Woke us up every time it came on. We ate in Hayden's Post - over priced, slow service. I had a side salad and only option was the house dressing.
Review 54:The room was nice and comfortable. Wife loved the soaps and shampoo.
Review 55:They got us in the best room possible at the time we checked in, and made life super stress free with any accommodations and smooth transaction. I will definitely stay here in beautiful Jackson (^.^)
Review 56:The room could have better lighting. The room TV could have been placed in a better way for easy, comfortable viewing.
Review 57:Wonderful location, warm staff, cozy room and loved the architecture of the retreat.
Review 58:I found out after I booked that they charge $31 resort fee above the room and taxes. They said its for the gym and pool. We didnt use either. The mattress sunk in the middle. We rolled into each other all night.
Review 59:nice updated rooms and facility
Review 60:On the higher end of affordable. Small selection of food at restaurant atleast at breakfast but the food did taste good. I believe it is a fairly new buisness. One of the elevators was broken making for increased waiting times for a tiny elevator or taking the stairs.
Review 61:On site rentals for snowboards and skis. Outdoor pool and hot tub open in the winter for relaxing after a day of playing with a beautiful view of the mountain. On site restaurant. Free wifi and parking, knowledgeable staff. Snow king tubes,!! Lots of fun for the whole family
Review 62:On weekend, where our room is facing the sauna pool we were disturbed by the noice made by hotel guests using the pool past mid nite.
Review 63:Good for those with children and family as the hotel is just next to Snow King ski resort and half an hour bus ride to Jackson Hole Ski Resort at the front of the hotel!
Review 64:small bathroom, view of dumpster and vehicles from the room, yet mountains behind were lovely.
Review 65:location at base of slopes, the rooms were well appointed and clean. comfortable.
Review 66:We booked at the last minute online while travelling through the parks. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was. Great deal. We will definitely come again. This was our first visit to Jackson and the parks area.
Review 67:Originally booked a condo thru the hotel but changed to regular hotel rooms because the condo was dirty and shabby and painters were working on the outside of the condo. No coffee or water available in the lobby only thru the restaurant.
Review 68:Comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. We had double queen room with balcony which was very nice. Mostly very nice staff tho the front desk was slow to respond to our request for a room change.
Review 69:Our service at dinner was slow but it was understandable because there was a large party on the patio that requires a lot of attention from the wait staff.
Review 70:Clean comfortable room, friendly staff, close to downtown, horseback riding, ski lifts, restaurants.
Review 71:Nothing.
Review 72:Everything was professional and comfortable. The room was excellent, the staff were professional in every way, not s complaint to be made at all.
Review 73:By renting a 3 bedroom condo (an option of the Snow King Resort), we were renting a private owner's townhome which has terrible cleaning service and no room service while we were there. There was damage & broken cabinets and NO AC - a problem for July & 2nd floor bedrooms. Was very disappointed to spent $400/night there and the Resort didn't provide any indemnity or solution.
Review 74:The alpine slide, mini golf and chair lift right on-site was good for our family. Pool was nice and staff was very courteous,
Review 75:No refrigerator. At the front desk some of the staff were quite rude!
Review 76:Beautiful views and I suppose during the ski season it's perfect with the ski in- ski out.
Review 77:Resort Garage need to be swept for a lot of unknown dust on the ground.
Review 78:Located not at the center of town but quite convenient for only 2 blocks away. Big room, nice view, all kinds of appliances which made hotel room like home.
Review 79:toilet was dirty when we checked into our room
Review 80:location (excellent for Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone NP), staff, restaurant, our room was very nice and quiet
Review 81:everything

Review 83:clean, and staff was the staff was awesome!
Review 84:Lovely setting for our fall get away. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Review 99:The wifi is not good.
Review 100:The manager is nice and she gave us discount!

Review 104:No fridge in the room
Review 105:Excellent location. Rooms were very nice and comfortable.
Review 106:Loved the decor and amenities. Beautifully renovated in a good location.
Review 107:Rooms not ready at checkin and mix up on luggage with no apology or offer to compensate. Obvious new staff and undertrained.
