Review 1：No English name on the building. We asked a man for direction and found that there were two hotels of the same name not far from each other. I told the staff (? Manager) if its possible to have an English name to make it easy to find and distinguish, he ignored me.

Review 3：The hotel was primarily aimed at Japanese guests with minimal consideration for non-Japanese guests. Information for guests in the rooms were all in Japanese. A translated version in English would have allowed important information to be understood instead of having to go down to the front desk for help. Even information on how to contact the front desk from the guest room was only in Japanese! Getting something to eat for late arrival was a challenge -- had to get out of the hotel. I was able to manage the one night stay.

Review 4：Courteous and helpful staff, even though they could speak only broken English. Helped out in getting basic tasks a typical traveller will be doing upon arrival and trying to settle down in the room.

Review 26：I stayed at this hotel for four nights; I subsequently found that the webpage contained numerous ‘errors’; the room was tiny, cold and not particularly comfortable. Above all else, though, the over-riding impression I came away with is that they do not want English-speaking, ‘Western’, tourists; although they will happily take your money, of course. By way of an example: they do not even display their name in English, either on the outside of the building or in the lobby (not much help when you are trying to find the place, with your luggage, following incorrect directions from the webpage). I would strongly recommend that you find another hotel, there are plenty in Matsue. Do not stay at this one!
