Reviews for Painted Buffalo Inn

Review 1:Don't expect any sort of help from the staff. On Christmas day we had an issue and wasn't able to get a hold of anyone. Called the emergency line and no one called back. We told the guy at breakfast and he said he was the emergency line but had no way of helping. I would give this a lower score if possible. They also charged my credit card for more than they were supposed to.

Review 2:The breakfast was not very good. No meat, like bacon or sausage, there were no waffles and nothing hot like scrambled eggs. The room was freezing cold, couldn't even take our coat off to eat. The apples were mushy and the oranges were green.

Review 3:The location was good, it was very clean. The staff was pleasant if they spoke english/most of the staff were spanish speaking.

Review 4:Our room was skipped for cleaning. No apologies or compensation. Also the next day no keys worked and had to wait for new keys due to machine being gone. Staff was friendly but seemed unorganized

Review 5:Price and location.

Review 6:The Continental breakfast was pitiful to say the best. Instead of fresh fruit they had canned stuff. Instead of sanitary sealed yogurt they had a big open bowl of yogurt to dip from - like would do that. Only decent thing was toast.

Review 7:The walls are very thin. We could hear upstairs every time they walked around. Also, the breakfast is pretty scampy.

Review 8:It was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. This place is walking distance to the town square.

Review 9:Weekend was busy. Noisy party going on upstairs so difficult to sleep. Laundry was broken. Parking was difficult if you arrived late.

Review 10:Situated within walking distance of everything in Jackson. Rooms were a good size.

Review 11:Disinterested staff....old rooms....upcharge for pets.....upcharge for 2 people....worn mattress.......and so on. Way too expensive for what you get.

Review 12:Location

Review 13:Room was very run down. Very cheap matteress and furniture. . Floor creaks and flexes when you walk across it. Was very disappointed for the price. I would rate it as about a $39 motel room. Certainly nit worth 179.00 by any stretch of the imagination. Breakfast very marginal. Basically coffee, cereal and pastries.

Review 14:Not enough parking, dirty, dingy, scratchy towels, very noisy room(had a disturbing whirring noise that 2 other guests also complained about) and thin walls. Very expensive with only cold serial for"complementary breakfast". Rancid soap!

Review 15:Nothing

Review 16:The price was way too high for a place that has seen better days. Unfortunately -- this is Jackson Hole, and that's what is charged.

Review 17:Nice location. The staff worked very hard.

Review 18:Got there late. Had two rooms. Neither lock worked. Had to walk a block back over to office to get a different key for me. Had to pee bad. No bathroom in office. Just gave me a spare key and told me to try again. They had to call a locksmith to my son's room. He has 4 kids. I got dinged $62 extra cause they took filthy stuffed animals from the room. Not happy about that. Supposedly they were going to remove that charge. Yelp

Review 19:Breakfast area could use a good scrub. Donuts actually tasted liked Playdough.

Review 20:We liked the very pleasant and helpful people in the office. We also liked the location - very close to everything!

Review 21:The potential inertia sale of soft toys (the signature buffalo) left inroom and obligatory signature accepting the deduction of their price(considerable) from credit card in the event of loss or damage for whichthe departed hotel guest would have only the hotel's word for. Mystay was only 3 days ago so as yet have no follow-up, but the practiceseems to me unnecessary and unprofessional, and would be my reason fornot recommending this motel to other guests.

Review 22:Location and comfort

Review 23:Cold continental breakfast was not what I anticipated. Very disappointing. Also, one night there were no parking spaces left in the entire lot.

Review 24:Easy walking access to downtown.

Review 25:The way the breakfast was served. They had yogurt in a big bowl instead of individually. We arrived early and there was no give on checking in.

Review 26:It was quaint and we'll located. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 27:We got in late and there wasn't enough parking. We had to unload our car and park across the street. For 229.00 I want to be able to park my car. Housekeeping came knocking on our door at 8:00am waking us all up and then returned an hour later to do the same thing. I hated it here.

Review 28:Room was a non smoking room, but definitely had been smoked in, so smelled horrible! Bed and pillows were too firm and hard. Rooms need lots of updating. Stayed 2 nights with no sleep. Family of 5 was staying above us and we could here every bit of movement they made. Very squeaky floors and thin walls. Sounded like a herd of elephants upstairs.

Review 29:Great location! Within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and center of town! Had a pool but didn't get to enjoy. Also had a continental breakfast but didn't get to try.

Review 30:Staff were unfriendly on arrival and more interested in telling us that the toy buffalos in our room were 'not complementary' than welcoming us after an 8 hour drive. The room was pokey, the towels were threadbare and the bed linen old. The corridors smelled of toilets and the 'breakfast' wasn't worth getting out of bed for. Communal areas were dirty and tired. In 2 weeks it was the most expensive and the least pleasant place we stayed. Glad it was only one night.

Review 31:The location suited our travel plans.

Review 32:Toilet was like a kids toilet, old, slow shower, not much pressure. Forget about breakfast, cereal, bread oatmeal. If you want a breakfast, pass.

Review 33:The location. Nice indoor pool area.

Review 34:We realize it was peak season when we stayed and as a result the rate was high, but at over $200 it seemed a little too high for just a standard double queen room.

Review 35:Within walking distance of city center.

Review 36:Manager billed credit card twice. She was so rude on the three way call with the credit card people, they just gave me my money without going thru depute because she was rude to them! There are a lot of foreign tours staying there and I bet they get away with this all the time since no one spoke enlist and they get back to their country and can't fight it.

Review 37:Ok if need to stay. Way over priced.

Review 38:Breakfast was a very basic continental. Stale cereal. Coffee was good from the front office

Review 39:Beautiful setting, easy access to Jackson high lights. Cute design to hotel.

Review 40:Parking is a problem for some guests. This place is not worth the almost$200 per night. You have to go away from the building for breakfastwhich was awful - We were on lower floor and could hear everything fromthe people there and next door. Poor - do not stay here.

Review 41:We didn't like the fact we had to park at a restaurant since all the spaces were taken. We also didn't like the fact that the pool isn't attached to the inn. Everyone has to deal with the cold running from the pool or to. Small amount of draws in the room.

Review 42:Location to restaurants and nightlife.

Review 43:No parking near room, keys did not work when I got to my room. Room temp was difficult to maintain with heating/cooling unit. Would have liked a dresser or somewhere to unpack luggage. with the exception of a few hangers there was nowhere to put clothing.

Review 44:Rooms were fine and clean. Had just come from a VERY nice hotel so it was an adjustment. Friendly staff.

Review 45:POOR PARKING. NOT ENOUGH PARKING FOR ROOMS. FIRST NIGHT WE HAD TO PARK ON A SIDE STREET.

Review 46:VERY CLEAN ROOMS, BEDS COMFORTABLE. CLOSE WALKING DISTANCE TO DOWNTOWN AREA.

Review 47:The room was very humid, ran bathroom fan all the time to try to help that. The water is extremely noisy.

Review 48:The wifi was great, the kids enjoyed the pool, walking to downtown was a huge plus. The breakfast was ok, would have liked hot eggs though.

Review 49:Super thin walls meant we hear everything going on in the surrounding rooms. Request an upstairs room to avoid listening to the footsteps of the guests above you.

Review 50:Great location— walking distance to everything.

Review 51:Limited parking, We had to park in overflow parking lot which had no lighting. Don't expect much from the free breakfast - mini donuts, cereal, juice, toast, coffee. Staff sat in the back room talking while wastebaskets overflowed with dirty plates. We were not asked how our stay was nor thanked for staying upon check out.Two night stay and almost $500.00 dollars later the only comment from front desk was " You want your receipt?"

Review 52:Great location.

Review 53:The breakfast was lacking, big time. We have been at at least 11 different motels which had some kind of breakfast and your breakfast was the worst. I will stay from now on at a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn.

Review 54:The location was in a great good place

Review 55:Been waiting for this !! Air conditioning did not work.First,Check inwent bad ,due to staff behind desk acted like we just robbed a bank andwas going to steal the little buffaloes on the bed.Checked in early, camein late,ac failed to work. Slept in truck from 10:00pm till 6:00am dueto ac problem . Complained to manager but all she wanted to do wascredit me for $7.10.Paid $183.20 for a room and slept in truck!!!!Called credit card company and then found out they charged me for$50.00 extra. Went back to find out why and was told it wasn't so.She made a mistake. The look on her face when she found out I found out!!!!Charges are disputed with card company and Painted Buffalo. I willnever go back, and will tell everyone of my experience !!!

Review 56:My stay was overnight.Really had a bad expereince with the facilitiesand staff.Didn't like not one thing !!!!!!!!

Review 57:Breakfast was awful. Not much to choose from and they ran out of coffee. No place to sit and a far walk from room.

Review 58:Room was quiet, even booked full with families and small children.

Review 59:Not necessarily a did not like, but arrived late due to flight delay and front desk person just gave me everything and told me to return signed in the morning. Just unusual, but no problems.

Review 60:Liked the Buffaloes waiting on the bed for us when we arrived. Check out front desk was very nice.

Review 61:We could hear every single step made by the people above our groundfloor room and when they used the shower/wash bowl it was as thoughthey were in our room. Plus the pipes banged every time the tap wasturned off. It was so bad we cancelled our 2nd night and movedelsewhere.

Review 62:This motel is situated close enough to Jackson centre to walk intotown with ease - a big plus. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable.Staff pleasant.

Review 63:Walls and floors very thin and plumbing very old and noisy .when the family from hell were upstairs above our room and allowed their children to run around and bounce on the beds until the early hours the staff failed to deal with the problem and suggested we wear earplugs And seemed disinterested in solving the problem. They then offered a 5% discount to us which seemed less than satisfactory bearing in mind that we had been prevented from sleeping . I would not stay there again or recommend the place to others.

Review 64:Rooms were nice and the premises had a pleasant old fashioned appearance.

Review 65:I wish the management of the hotel consider providing towels that look clean. White clean. I went out and bought myself some as I could not make myself use the ugly/ dirty/ smelling towels.

Review 66:Quiet room. Good location.

Review 67:The shower curtain smelled of mildew. The lotion tube was partially used. the breakfast bar was only average, considering the cost of the room.

Review 68:The staff accomodated us with a 1st floor room.

Review 69:Wish they had a hot tub, breakfast was disappointing, parking was a challenge if you got in late, walls very thin, woke up to the vacuum above us at 7AM.

Review 70:Kids had fun in the pool, nice location

Review 71:Room had a closed-in odor which seemed to lessen when running the AC.

Review 72:Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, beds and amenities. Wifi was available in the rooms and parking was easy. Great to have coffee and tea in the lobby.

Review 73:The location is absolutely perfect! It is walking distance to downtown Jackson. Also, the rooms were clean and the beds were very soft and comfortable. Great stay!

Review 74:bathrooms are really small, poor wáter, a lot of noise, you can hear every step from every room, and the wors were the towls. they are very old and grey !!

Review 75:The room was very outdated. Old towels..the carpet needed to be stretched. The beds were old and not real comfy. I could have stayed at Motel 6 for cheaper and same quality.

Review 76:The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 77:First thing I say was duct tape on the carpet. Carpet was stained. Bathtub had black stuff in it Room smelled musty and old. Wasn't sure if sheets were clean

Review 78:The pool and spa were nice

Review 79:Late arrivals on the weekend were kind of noisy, but really can't complain since I was right in the middle of the complex.

Review 80:Staff was great, housekeeping was excellent! Room was nice, comfortable and close to the downtown square.

Review 81:Great pool and sauna. Friendly staff in an expensive but nice town. Neat place to get close to nature near the southern most access point to Yellowstone. Be sure to stop by Jackson visitor center!

Review 82:Great Location - Right on Ski Shuttle stop ($3 each way to Jackson Hole), 3 small town blocks from center of town, Free Continental Breakfast (Coffee, OJ, Cereals, Bagels/Breads/Muffins, Boiled Eggs, Yogurts, Fruits). Small but useful in room fridge+microwave. Small but useful community ammenities, washer/dryer, pool, free wifi, one community business computer w/ small printer. I would stay again for great value/functional travel, not luxury ritzy travel

Review 83:-heater in room was quite noisy -pool restroom needed to be cleaned.

Review 84:-enjoyed the pool -location within town of walking to Center of the Arts and night scene was excellent

Review 85:Blankets could have been cleaner WIFI was hard to get on because of too many users - we only had wifi in the mornings

Review 86:Location Sauna Friendliness of staff

Review 87:The breakfast on one day was in the lobby and there was space for maybe ten people there. We just grabbed some coffee, muffins and bagels and took them to our room. The walls are very thin. The fridge is loud.

Review 88:located close to the Grand Teton National Park, spacious room with two queen size beds

Review 89:Our kids were excited to get to the hotel and swim. Unfortunately the pool was very cold and they did not swim at all. Also the breakfast has very limited options.

Review 90:The hotel is close to the town center and easy to get to.

Review 91:I booked thru booking.com for two nights. They had me checking out afternone night. When I returned to my room from a day of hiking I was upset to discover someone else in it and my belongings gone. At first they denied my claim. Then they realized the error got me another room and found most of my belongs though I did loose some nice items. At least they were responsive.

Review 92:The location and Wi-Fi

Review 93:The place is old and not well maintained. The faucets in bath tub were nearly falling off. The walkway outside the room was wood and rough so when people went by it was so noisy we could not hear each other. We stayed at a Motel 6 earlier in the week at half the price, and it was in top notch condition. We would not stay here again.

Review 94:Aircon works well but noisy so bring your earplugs for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is included but the options are a bit limited. We found the staff at breakfast a little unwelcoming

Review 95:Room clean, tidy and comfortable and off the main road so we were not bothered by the traffic. Good location from which to explore the town

Review 96:The hotel was located close to downtown Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was a bit tired, though. The bathroom door handle was broken, and the toilet stopped up when we used it. Took a couple hours (and 2 calls) for the maintenance guy to come over with a plunger. Breakfast was the usual cold continental fare at most budget hotels. In general, functional hotel but uninspiring. Good budget option.

Review 97:The walls were thin. We got a warning for talking to load apparently. The floors of the room were dirty. The complimentary breakfast was gross and poor selection. I won't be recommending or coming back to this hotel

Review 98:The location was close to downtown.

Review 99:Needs a bit of investment, starting to get run down in places. Sauna didn't work, lightbulbs broken etc. Minor but irritating.

Review 100:Only a few blocks from town. Guest laundry was handy. Staff very pleasant.

Review 101:Given wrong room when registering, had to return to desk and insist on what was booked. Fortunately I had the print out. Breakfast totally inadequate.

Review 102:Not really anything

Review 103:Pool was in a separate building. Required walking down stairs and across a parking lot to get to. Breakfast was in a completely separate facility as well. Pool was not heated, windows onto a parking lot and road. No hot tub. No elevator, i don't mind taking the stairs, but when your moving your entire families luggage into the room its a pain. Room was less than optimal as well, tiny, bathroom space really small.

Review 104:To Short a visit

Review 105:Nice greeting, made a room request change quickly, very clean room and the front desk employee was very very accommodating. Could not rate kitchen correctly we didn't have one. Should be (N/A). Gave us a bag breakfast to go for we had an early departure before restaurant hours.

Review 106:Price was very high for what you receive. Cheap towels and dirty bed linens. Floor and bathtub tiles are 20+ years old and shows serious signs of wear. Plumbing fixtures are also very old. The entire deco is from the 1980's, and feels old and dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to others, because it wasn't any kind of bargain. We should have paid $100 LESS than we did for that kind of room.

Review 107:the location of the Inn is close to the Town Square, where there are many activities and shopping. Staff was responsive and helpful Room sizes are adequate, but, not overly huge.

Review 108:The beds, sheets, and towels were ok, but could have been better quality. Jackson Hole is expensive, so this hotel is expensive compared to hotels of like quality in other locations. Carpet could be better.

Review 109:The location was close to town - 3 blocks walking. The room was a nice size, clean, and comfortable. The housekeeping seemed to take pride in their work. Our room was quiet. The motel was nicer than we expected. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast with many options.

Review 110:We had ants in our room. Maintenance came and sprayed our room but we still had ants. But our friends were in the next room and they had no ants.

Review 111:The location was good and was right across the street from our car rental place, but since it was on the Main Street it was hard to get out.

Review 112:$200/night was very steep for a room infested with moths (we spent the night in the dark and swatting them out of the air) and the continental breakfast was hard boiled eggs and plain yogurt, a little disappointing as far as even free breakfast goes.

Review 113:Location to Jackson Hole downtown and shopping.

Review 114:The towels were paper-thin, disgusting, I couldn't get dry. I was charged an additional $10 for something? Who knows, the person I quized on the phone told me to work it out with my credit card company!

Review 115:The location and price.

Review 116:Beds were not so comfortable.

Review 117:Worked with us to change our dates , added 2 additional nights , then had to cancel one of those. We appreciated all their efforts.

Review 118:Parking when the hotel is booked solid is tight. Staff is very helpful in locating a place to park. Would rather not have stuffed animals in the room while traveling with children.

Review 119:The staff here was great. Thank You Jessica! She was very helpful, had to change our dates several times while we making our travel plans. While we were there she very friendly & professional.

Review 120:The breakfast was crazy...tons of people, not enough room, hard to keep track of the line. The location was not great...on the main drag...we would rather have been off the highway a couple of blocks. However, we needed a room very badly and it served that purpose. The bathroom was very small and hard to negotiate.

Review 121:The staff was terrific...the room was clean and ready...for being such a gigantic place it was relatively quiet. The stuffed animals and Buffalo skins were neat and the western décor was great.

Review 122:the complimentary continental" breakfast was terrible. The coffee machine broke down and they ran out of decaff coffee. As for the food-it was doughnuts , apples and toast, and instant oatmeal which we had to ask for. The OJ tasted like it was "off". Zero on the breakfast. Parking was a bit cramped.

Review 123:location was good with a short walk to Jackson Main Street. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean. staff were professional and courteous.

Review 124:The breakfast was nothing spectacular- packaged oatmeal.

Review 125:Facility was clean and comfortable. The location was great as it was very close to the Grand Teetons and the local restaurants and village.

Review 126:There appeared not enough parking spaces on the nights (2) that we stayed. We were lucky to get the last spot at the far side of the main building during the 2 nights stay.

Review 127:The breakfast was really good with lots of variety food to choose from including fresh fruit, good bread and muffins. The Jaction is a little place to be impressed and a gateway to Yellow Stone if you do not want to spend too much to stay in the park.

Review 128:Noise: thin walls, neighbors talked until 1 am. Cleanliness: although rooms have been refurbished, some items (bed skirts) were dirty. Price: expensive

Review 129:We needed a last minute booking and this hotel was the only one with a room left in Jackson Hole. Thanks for that! Rooms adequate, on small side.

Review 130:Rooms need some basic maintenance. Lights were burnt out, door sticks, etc and could use a general update. You'll notice though that most of your options are old school motel rooms so that is clearly the norm for the area unless you are willing to greatly increase your price point for luxury.

Review 131:The wooden walks were a bit noisy when wheeled luggage clicked and clacked along them, other than that no problems.

Review 132:Friendly people, close to all the activities we had planned ( Horseback riding, white water rafting, sightseeing and shopping ).

Review 133:The shower curtain had a sour smell to it - very unpleasant. Towels were very worn and frayed. Contenintel breakfast left a lot to be desired. Pillows were old, lumpy and limp. Knats were everywhere - very annoying. Ask for rooms away from the tour busses.

Review 134:Location was very convenient to almost everything. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Review 135:It could be cleaner

Review 136:We were received very friendly, soon after the young lady call us asking if we were ok. After leaving the hotel, she called again, about three pairs of shoes we had intencionally let behind.
