Review 1：In our room and on whole part of hotel that we stayed there was not very nice smell (probably there was kitchen somewhere around)

Review 2：+ Localization + Freildly staff (we had extended check-out hours) + Quite good breakfast + Terrace with nice view - it is open from 2pm, it would be nice to open it earlier for morning coffee :) I can highly recommend that hotel (it was our second stay). In my opinion it is better than some 4* hotels in Torun

Review 6：The staff at the hotel are very helpful with a ready smile. The traditional Polish buffet breakfast salads, fruit, cheeses, breads, sliced meats, cereals, and more too numerous to list was attractively displayed and very generous. The hotel is attractive with a lift to all floors. It is on a quiet street close to the river and the old town. Our stay represented excellent value and we hope to return there in the summer.

Review 7：There was one very pleasant lady on reception, the rest disinterested at best - what a shame as this is the most important part of the stay! Although there was a lift , the way the rooms were situated due to the architecture of the building meant that we had a half floor to carry our luggage up. On arrival there was no plug in the sink, though the receptionist quickly remedied this. The doors of the shower cubicle had seen better days as they were somewhat awkward to close and updating would not go amiss. Although this was a true double bed, the continental quilts were 2 single ones, which we had never encountered before, although a google search reveals that this is not so unusual.

Review 8：We spent 2 nights here and found the location absolutely ideal. The hotel was very characterful and cosy. We could not overall fault the room amenities which did include drink making facilities, plus complimentary bottled water, though no safe. Fridge in room. Good selection of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, gel and hand-wash. There are numerous eating places very close to hand and many historic buildings and lots of nice shops. Abundant choice at breakfast in the quaint but charming " cellar " restaurant, with much variety of hot and cold foods and drinks - something to suit all tastes. Modern card key to operate the doors and lighting, plus adjustable air-conditioning plus very efficient radiators. Compared to other hotels we had stayed in over the same period, this - given it's location - was extremely attractively priced, and we would most certainly come back, despite the attitude of some of the personnel.

Review 9：It was rather noisy from the street and no lift We stayed for 3 nights, on the second day the room was not cleaned up with all effects, including no bottled water. if we asked they would react but we decided not to trouble.

Review 32：Rooms not noise insulated enough.I asked for high floor quiet room got room 13 the top of reception stairs - too noisy. You could hear everything...They didn't honour our request. It ruined our stay as i was shattered with lack of sleep and at a big competition.

We were traveling because we like Toruń very much (especially Gingerbread Museum and gingerbread itself :) Hotel is quite nice and generaly I've enjoyed my stay. Biggest positive is localisation and breakefast. Review 49：Hotel has excellent location in the city centre. Atmosphere inside was nice and room was clean. Positive problem was that there was too much to choose from at breakfast table.

Review 50：I found the pillow very uncomfortable, though my husband found it ok. For me it as the wrong shape, it needed to be shorter. It meant my night's sleep was broken. The mattress was also a bit hard. The room was smaller than we expected. No lifts which may be a problem for some, though fine for us.

I liked the furniture very much - beautiful - though the room we were given was not the room in the photo on the internet - which is a bit dishonest. The breakfast was excellent and varied. We also very much appreciated that we could make a cup of tea in our room. Excellent location in heart of a beautiful and historic town. Quiet at night.

Review 52：Taking small tour groups around through Europe, I have stayed in a lot of hotels and hotel Gotyk has been the worst hotel experience ever. It started with the check-inn, they had only 2 rooms with air conditioning available instead of the 4 rooms booked. But this was only a slight inconvenience compared with which was to come. It turned out that the hotel had rented out its ground floor restaurant to a private wedding party this evening. In the afternoon big speakers were brought in the hotel and at 9.30 pm hell broke loose with very loud music. Being lodged 1 and 2 floors above the restaurant our group of 7 was unwillingly part of this feast and having a night sleep was not possible anymore. The reception hadn’t informed us at all what was going to happen this evening. When we addressed to the reception they told us that this party would go on till 4 or 5 am! Luckily they have had 3 last minute room cancellations and could offer us those 3 rooms in an annex building. At 22.00 pm 4 of us could go over to these rooms, the other 3 had to stay behind. I think that hotel Gotyk should make up its mind: either rent out hotel rooms and offer a quiet atmosphere to their guests or rent out their restaurant for private parties, but not doing both at the same time. According to the house rules in their guest-booklet at the room desk, silence is to be respected between 10 pm and 6 am. But how can they ask this from the guests when they break this rule their selves so violently? I will never take my tour groups to this hotel again. Hotel Gotyk deserves a 1 for their very poor performance, but because they could offer us 3 spare rooms, it will be a 2.

Review 53：Very nice hotel with its own style and character. Nice room, smartly furnished, so you don't feel any lack of space. Nice and convenient bathroom designed with modern style. Friendly and professional staff. Good and sufficient breakfast.

Just a few steps from both the main gate in to town, the maindrag and the romantic musical fountain. The river, a 100m south. A fewdays here would sort any woes...
