Reviews for Riadh Palms
Review 1:I liked the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. They made everything so easy, from getting a cab to finding locations. The hotel has a great place to get a massage and facial, etc. and the food is excellent, fresh, and tasty. Clean beach, such a nice walk in the morning, shops right there for all your needs, and throughout stay, as a single woman, I knew I was safe and secure. Will return next holiday.
Review 2:rooms were unexpectedly unsatisfactory. A triple room is even small for one couple. the toilet flush ws out of order and was not dealt with despite our complaint.
Review 3:location is perfect
Review 4:No AC after 30/09; Completely outdated; Safety deposit box and remote control for TV require to pay a deposit at the reception; Breakfast buffet was totally worthless;
Review 5:Absolutely nothing !
Review 6:This hotel is way below a 4 stars hotel. I will not come back to it even for free. I didn't like the very very old rooms. The toilets are by far the worst hotel's toilets I ever seen. I can't even Compare this hotel to other hotels I visited in Hammamet and Mahdiah. Entertainment is way below standards. They don't provide towels on the pool. There are no remotes to turn TV on inside the rooms. They don't provide drinks on the pool unless you are an all inclusive guest. You don't even know unless you ask. Room service doesn't pick the phone. We called for coffee at 11:30pm. After several calls with the reception, we received a call from room service saying they don't provide hot drinks at such time. We came back to hotel at around 10:30pm, the parking guard said there are no parking spots and we have to park outside. We had a long argument with him so he opens the gate and there were three available parking spots inside. Everything inside the hotel is much older than expected.
Review 7:Sea view is wonderful. location is good
Review 8:The hotel receptionist said that they havent got duble bed. So we slept two separete beds which are juxtaposed..The internet acess didnt allowed the whatsapp calls so I couldnt spoke with my parents..These are the small problems..
Review 9:I love the pool and very nice view of our room...
Review 10:No wifi in rooms, deposit required for tv remote, dark corridors and rooms, couldn't find booking, uncomfortable bed, bathroom dispenser broken and overall poor quality fixtures,
Review 11:Brilliant breakfast, pool, beach
Review 12:Elevators need to be changed completely and staff need to smile more and more
Review 13:Location is amazing hotel is ordinary comfort staff need more training more smile and more hospitality.
Review 14:have a nice hammam, you can try it. the view to the sea is very beautiful, especially from the upper floors if u are travelling in a group of girls, expect to be asked out for a drink from a lot of waiters - but this is a perfectly normal behaviour in Tunisia
Review 15:There were a few irritations associated with my stay, but they would notprevent me from returning, because I believe the hotel to be a goodvalue (at least in the low season, when I was there). (1) Upon arrivalat about 9:30 P.M. for my check-in, I was informed that I would need toimmediately pay my bill in full (all 8 nights), even though my room wasalready held/guaranteed by credit card, as part of the Booking.combooking procedure. As I wanted to pay in cash, and I did not havesufficient Tunisian Dinar (tnd) with me for payment, my only option atthat point on a Saturday evening was to change either my usd or Euros atthe concierge desk (next to the check-in desk). So I did this, and thensubsequently checked several banks in Sousse, and determined that theexchange rate at the hotel was reasonable / fair. So althoughinitially irritating, at least it was not some type of cheat. (And youcannot beat the convenience.) (2) When booking, I specifically made acomment on Booking.com that I wanted one large double bed (and not the 2twin bed room configuration). But upon check-in, when I saw the 2 twinbeds in my room, I immediately complained to the reservation desk andwas informed that there are only three double beds on each floor of thishuge hotel. I was quite amazed, but the receptionist took my name, andoffered that I should be able to change the next day, to a room with adouble bed. The next day there was indeed at least one room with adouble bed available, but I actually decided to stay where I was, because the twin bed that I slept in for my first night was (just) longenough. And the room was quiet, which was really important to me. (Itwas located on a far end of the hotel, on the opposite side from wherethe buffet dining room was.) (3) In order to get a remote control forthe tv, or a key for the in-room safety deposit box, you need to pay adeposit of 20 tnd for each.
Review 16:I stayed in a Single Room with Sea View on the 4th floor for 8 nights,at the very end of February, 2015. I would stay at the hotel again, because I feel that even though there were a few irritations, the hotelis a good value for the money (at least during the low season when Iwas there), with a good location in Sousse, and good facilities(including a tour desk, an indoor heated pool and sauna (free), outdoorpool and access to the beach and sea, as well as a spa with a hamam andmassages (for fees). My room was reasonably-sized and clean, and had 2twin beds, even though I specifcally requested one large bed (more onthat later). The bathroom had a bathtub / shower combination, with(just) liquid soap dispensers (no bar soap). The room had a large flatscreen tv, with quite a few English channels (including cnn, bbc, France-24, a number of movie channels, etc.). It had no refrigerator, but didhave a safe, which you had to pay a refundable deposit, in order to getthe key (more on that later). The buffet breakfast was included in mybooking, and was generally good, with quite a selection (includingstations for crepes, omelets, and fried eggs to order). If you will notbe eating your evening meals in the hotel, then I can recommend acouple of nearby restaurants. The first one is La Fiesta, which servestraditional Tunisian dishes in an authentic setting, for reasonableprices (I had the lamb, Tunisian style). It’s located just a couple ofblocks or so from the Riadh Palms Hotel, in the direction of the SousseMedina. The second restaurant is Farmers’ Restaurant, which has goodbeef, lamb and other dishes, and a good cheesecake for dessert. It isalso located only a few blocks away from the hotel, but this time asyou are walking in the direction of Port El Kantaoui (you will firstpass the Movenpick Hotel).
Review 17:-Smoke filled lobby. -Few lifts for the size. -Only twin rooms offered, although we selected double. -No wifi in the bedrooms. -In need of modernising
Review 18:-Beach. -Generally good hotel -Great breakfast -Good security
Review 19:Mostly grumpy staff. Lack of lifts. Smokey lobby, which means that non-smokers will neeed to suffer, if they want to use wifi.
Review 20:Great location for the beach. Good wifi in the lobby only, none elsewhere. Great choice of breakfast. Good security.
Review 21:The toilet set was full of dirt (sh..) from outside and on set .. You have to pay 20TUD as a deposit to provide the TV remote control, and no one telling you, you will found out when you going to your room and trying to found the TV remote control .. No fridge no cattle in room .. Old furniture, very bad beds .. In room safe system was no working .. No wifi in room and very bad in common areas .. You have to wait for long time for the elevators .. Receipts were small paper written by hand.
Review 22:Nothing at all Maybe only the entrance .
Review 23:The food, most of the staff was not really friendly and seemed to be uninterested and unmotivated.Only the security staff has always been friendly and helpful.
Review 24:The location and the seaview from our room
Review 25:Janitors can be noisy in the morning. they need to be trained to be quiet and discrete - particularly in the early morning. Wifi only in the lobby and common areas, with only few power outlets, but this is not a big deal.
Review 26:the room with balcony and nice sea view. cleanliness. friendly and always helpful staff, breakfast buffet, and walking distance to downtown Sousse. It is a real nice hotel.
Review 27:service is bad, they asked for a deposit to provide the Tv Remote control ,, plus unlike other hotels you do not find cattle in room for tea or coffee
Review 28:location is perfect ,.
Review 29:staff: they were often begging for things. Seemed that many didn't really understand customer service....they appeared to think that doing their job was more important than the guests....."I need to fix this machine get out of my way customer." "I need to spray paint this, if I spray fumes at you customer tough luck for you." Too few Elevators for the number of guests
