Reviews for Cowboy Village Resort
Review 1:We stayed in a cute, small cabin. The only thing missing was a small fireplace. Maybe the bigger ones had them. Ours was fine without one, but cabins and fireplaces just go together. It was clean and that was the important part.
Review 2:I had thought we were booking a room with one king size bed but it was a queen bunk. The bunk beds are not a good option for a mature couple. There was very little space from the bed to the bottom of the bunk.
Review 3:Thee location and the staff was great. The place was clean, neat and in good repair.
Review 4:Seems like pets were previously in the room and my wife was having allergic reactions because of it. Suggest they offer Non-smoking and Non-pet rooms.
Review 5:Loved the stand alone cabin to stay in.
Review 6:It would be nice if the carpet was swapped out for a non-absorbent option. All that snow melt makes for a musty smell.
Review 7:Quiet location that allows for walking to anywhere in Jackson. Free shuttle to and from the mountain!
Review 8:Aloof of people walking dogs off leash.
Review 9:Really great place for the money. Walking distance to everything you could want / need in town and a shuttle to take you to the mountain and back. Save a ton of money by bringing food and cooking.
Review 10:Location walking distance to downtown, local bus, church, art center. Also the airport shuttle drops off and picks up at property. Renovating the cabins. had a service issue..outside light. Immediately taken care of. Will come back again. 3rd year in a row.
Review 11:The cabins are cheaply made and you can hear everything from the outside, from people walking/talking to cars passing. The bathroom was super noisy (shower, sink, toilet) and can be hard if sharing with another couple. Earplugs are suggested
Review 12:Really close to downtown, breweries and nice restaurants. Super convenient for the location and price.
Review 13:Fun cabins with full kitchens, great continental breakfast. Awesome pool and hot tub after skiing!! Ski bus was a great benefit as well! Highly recommend, great value for the price, great location!
Review 14:These cabins are cozy with a rustic décor yet have updated appliances, granite countertops, lovely tile floors, new carpeting and comfortable beds. They offer continental breakfast in the lobby, but we enjoyed cooking our own light breakfast in our cabin. Basic cookware is provided. Picnic tables and grills in the summer. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The fitness center is well appointed, clean, pleasant. We will be visiting Jackson often as we now have family there. Cowboy Village Resort will be our go-to home away from home.
Review 15:We were elk hunting in the Jackson area and decided to spend a few days at the Cowboy Village Resort to freshen up before heading back up to the high country. Room accommodations were great and we ended up using the Resort as a "base camp" for a couple of days to hunt locally. On the morning of check out we decided to go for a quick hunt before checking out, which turned out to be very successful. We requested a later checkout time to accommodate packing the elk out, which was chearfully granted.
Review 16:Cabin was clean, comfortable, and location was convenient. Staff was friendly. Only suggestion is to have more glassware and cooking utensils in the kitchen.
Review 17:Being in our our own little cottage we could come and go as we pleased. We could also provide our own food thus saving on expensive restaurants. Also close to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.
Review 18:The room seemed very small and the kitchenette was too small to do anything in but warm up take out.
Review 19:The grounds were well kept and we loved being able to sit on our porch in the afternoon.
Review 20:One thing we experienced was paving of the driveway and parking areas, entrances and exits were closed, but nothing I could consider a bad experience to our trip - just had to find another exit/entrance. Also, there was not a breakfast included during their off season
Review 21:Short distance to center of town, friendly staff, amenities, close parking, wifi, information booklets in the room for our visit, privacy and an adorable cabin perfect for a getaway
Review 22:Our "cabin" was very clean and thoughtfully appointed. Lots of nice touches like extra bedding, some dishes and pans ( if you wanted to use the kitchenette ) And excellent privacy. The staff was efficient and helpful. We came for an anniversary getaway and had such a good time we have decided to make a trip to Cowboy Village an annual event!
Review 23:Wifi is horribly slow. Heater didn't work in 324 but they came and fixed it.
Review 24:Kitchen useful, separate bedroom is a great feature although the door in 325 could not be closed no matter how hard we tried.
Review 25:Beds weren't as soft as I'd like. Needs a continental breakfast.
Review 26:Loved the modern cabin with 2 queen beds and a living room/kitchen area. Loved having an indoor pool.
Review 27:Kind of small but good use of space for a kitchen, living, dining, and sleeping area.
Review 28:The location was great for downtown and the surrounding areas. Quiet setting and because of individual cabins it was quieter. Very clean and housekeeping came daily. Good supply of towels, shampoos, soaps.
Review 29:Property was very modern-rustic. Great centralized location, walking distance to central square and other local businesses. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Review 30:Hot water is used up after one took shower, and a second person has to wait for water to be heated.
Review 31:Super cozy and very good experience for a modern equipment wooden cabin!
Review 32:twin bed for two. Would prefer two full size beds or a king sized bed. For one the bed would have been fine but with two persons one feels trapped against the wall.
Review 33:love the cabin, location is great
Review 34:The mattress was a little soft and we felt like we were rolling into the middle of the bed.
Review 35:Great place to stay. The cabins are really nice and fun to stay in.
Review 36:We've rented cabins at several locations. This one was one of the best. Close to everything we wanted to do. The service was great. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 37:Refridegerator too small, for a double queen cabin. The shower had wet wood around it and caulk was missing. The chairs in the living room were broken:( The grill was is located across the street on the other cabins property:(
Review 38:I love the location and pet friendliness! Beds are comfortable.
Review 39:Our cabin smelled like cigarette smoke when we got there. Annoying but we went nose blind after awhile.
Review 40:Convenient and comfortable in a cute town. Liked having our own cabin. Was a nice change from sharing walls. We only stayed for one night during a road trip but talked about how it is somewhere we could stay longer term. We could easily walk to town and enjoy the restaurants (and some wine!) there as we don't like to drink and drive.
Review 41:They botched up our billing, but later fixed it after several calls. No one in the office for checkout before 7 a.m. Double bunk beds were a bit cramped. But that is all they had available. We would avoid these next time.
Review 42:Location, cabin
Review 43:Sleeping in a queen bunk bed was not comfortable. Difficult to climb to the top bunk, barely enough room to turn over in the lower bunk, and no possibility of watching tv from either.
Review 44:Tried cooking in the kitchenette, and found some quirks. There is a cutting board, but no sharp knife. There is no exhaust fan over the stove, so open a window or the whole cabin gets very warm very quickly.
Review 45:These are individual cabins, each about the size of a large hotel room. They have privacy, and a vacation vibe. It doesn't feel like you're in the middle of town, but everything is close by.
Review 46:The individual cabins w/kitchenette were great. Very authentic yet comfortable & with all amenities. Front porch w/chairs & picnic table along w/bbq grills so family oriented or great for just a couple too. We really enjoyed the atmosphere there.
Review 47:The heater was on high constantly and could not be adjusted. We had to open all the windows at night to be able to sleep. The cottages are too small to be able to place your luggage if you have more than 2 bags.
Review 48:We liked the rural character of the building, however, it was too small to prepare even a sandwich let alone fry up a few eggs for breakfast. If you want a meal at Jackson, count on having to wait in line no matter where. - Their coffee was very good.
Review 49:During the week we stayed, every time we encountered the gentleman at the from desk, it was pretty clear that he did not want to be there, he had no personality, and seemed to only do the minimum possible.
Review 50:We loved the location and the cabins were super cute. Our kids loved staying in a cabin over a regular hotel. The housekeeping staff and the ladies at the front desk were very accommodating and made us feel at home.
Review 51:check in was very easy room was clean and very comfortable we liked the privacy of the cabins will stay there again facility was clean and well kept
Review 52:Rather expensive but seems to be standard for Jackson
Review 53:Friendly staff, lovely details (e.g. free coffee and cookies), nice indoor pool, laundry facility, nice little huts with own grill
Review 54:Lower bunk is really close to upper bunk, so could not sit-up in bed without hitting head.
Review 55:Perfect location to kick off a Yellowstone-Grand Teton trip. Stayed in a queen bunk cabin and was just the perfect size for a couple. Might work for more people on a short-term trip, but cabin is small. Cabin was clean, quiet, comfortable and really close to downtown.
Review 56:Extremely difficult to find something NOT to like about this place, maybe the parking situation (not guaranteed a spot to park right in front of your cabin as its "open parking").
Review 57:The location is fantastic - took literally 5 minutes walk to Jackson town center, but at night when you want to get away from the crowds, tour buses and noise - its set back in a residential neighborhood where its quiet. We also traveled with dogs and there is a nearby park for walks.
Review 58:Breakfast was not available even though my booking confirmation indicated a continental breakfast would be provided. Apparently, it is only available during ski season.
Review 59:Comfortable cute log cabin
Review 60:If you're looking for a touch of "western" this is the place. Clean and cozy as you could want with some really cool features - got to love the second change rags. A little far from downtown Jackson but other than that a fantastic place. We are already planning on going back!
Review 61:The bunker bed's ladder is shaky. My daughter fell off the ladder and got bruises. And we could not raise our head when sitting on the lower bed. Also there is no breakfast provided during the time of my visit. The motel is a little far from the city center.
Review 62:Cabin is a unique experience. The village is quiet. The room is clean.
Review 63:My husband and I were vacationing in Jackson to experience the Grand Tetons. Cowboy Village Resort was a perfect place for us to lodge. The location was ideal - we walked to and from the cute town. It actually exceeded my expectations. I would highly reccommend this place!!
Review 64:Close to everything in town including the rodeo! Friendly staff, loved the cabin. Great facility for those looking for a place that fits the western/country atmosphere.
Review 65:Would of been nice if they offered breakfast but had a kitchen in room so no big deal.
Review 66:Very quite. Close to down town. Close to places to eat. Had free coffee, tea, cookies, and friut.
Review 67:A muffin in the morning would have been great, in addition to the fruit and coffee that was offered.
Review 68:We loved the cute cabins, the beds and the kitchen. The property was tranquil and we could sit on the porch and drink wine and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Review 69:No breakfast. For $200 a night a continental breakfast would have been nice. Free cookies were very hard. The Hot Chocolate was good.
Review 70:The property is very nice, clean and well cared for. The cabins are very good for a family and the kids loved the bunk beds. The check in person was super friendly and helpful.
Review 71:We had a room with a queen bunk bed, which worked out well for the 4 of us. We didn't use the kitchen much, but appreciated having it there. The space was a little cramped for the 4 of us, but we made it work!
Review 72:The man that checked me in , I went back 3 days later to make sure hereleased my cc cause I paid cash , he said he did but didn't andcharged my card 503. More , he was rude and not welcoming
Review 73:Jackson was amazing
Review 74:Nothing.
Review 75:Staying in a log cabin was a great change from the normal motels you see on a road trip. The cabin isn't huge but has everything you need. Easy to get to & only a 10 minute walk to downtown. Wifi worked very well. The main reception has free tea/ coffee etc and cookies & fruit. Not too bad a price by Jackson standards.
Review 76:New, not remodeled, log cabins 4 blocks from downtown. Includes a kitchenette, mature trees, picnic table on private porch. Staff is very accommodating.
Review 77:The cabins were well constructed and had everything you need - refrigerator, freezer, stove, etc. There was plenty of parking. Easy access to walk and/or drive to Jackson Square area.
Review 78:The front desk staff was not very friendly, both at check-in and check-out. The housekeeping staff kept the room nice, but I was a little taken back by the ants in the bath room.
Review 79:We liked the location - very close snd within walking distance to Jackson Square. We also liked the quaint cabin style of the room.
Review 80:No complaints; just wish we could have stayed longer!
Review 81:We loved this cute, comfy little cabin. It was quiet, clean and close to downtown Jackson. It was everything you would want in a hotel. They serve free coffee, juice and cookies all day in the very impressive lobby.
Review 82:Happy, friendly and helpful staff. everything is close by, the Grocery store, restaurants, town square, etc. We would recommended this place to everyone. we'll come back in the future.
Review 83:Other guests monopolized the hot tub/pool (but that's not Cowby Village's fault)
Review 84:Fantastic little cabins! Cozy, intimate, private, wonderful. Nice staff. Free WiFi, great and easy parking, walking distance to downtown, nice hot tub & heated pool
Review 85:A complete package. Well designed and comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff went the extra mile when I thought I lost my IPAD which I found when I got home.
Review 86:Cowboy Village thought of everything we would need and then went even further. It was a perfect place to stay and we would highly recommend it!
Review 87:Absolutely nothing we disliked
Review 88:We enjoyed our stay so much that we felt bad that we had to dance one night of our stay due to personal reason. A thumb up for the friendly, accommodating and professional staff. The cabins are perfect: A full kitchen, great wifi, comfortable and clean bed. We just loves everything we had at cowboy village!
Review 89:The cabin was nice and comfortable. The bed was great! The couch folded out to a bed which was nice! Not very comfortable but hey it's a pull out what do you expect. We had the queen cabin and it was enough for my husband, two year old and 6 month pregnant me. If you can id say get the queen delux if you want an extra bed that's more comfortable than a pullout.
Review 90:There is absolutely nothing we didn't like about Cowboy Village!
Review 91:The cabins are so cute and provide travelers everything they need with the bonus of being able to cook instead of eat out every meal.
Review 92:Purely situational, the nights that we were there there were a tone of K-9 dog units at the resort so there were German Shepherds everywhere barking...not a usual occurrence I imagine, but not ideal.
Review 93:The privacy of the cabin was excellent and the parking and access to Jackson Hole was ideal.
Review 94:A little bit small room but it doesn't matter for us.
Review 95:My kids very excited to big wooden bunk bed and nice warm inside pool. Bathroom and room also very clean. And I like price less than 100dollars. Laundry machine is amazing new and modern type.
Review 96:That we couldn't bring our dog this trip because the other place that we we're staying did not allow pets.
Review 97:The cabin was so fully equipped and so comfortable.
Review 98:Booking.com Listed this as including breakfast which there was no breakfast to be had. I NEVER would have stayed here when there were other comparable places that had breakfast included.
Review 99:Other (college aged) guests were very loud late at night. Maids knocked one morning when "do not clean" sign was posted on outside of door knob.
Review 100:Location was somewhat close to downtown and cabin was nice and clean.
Review 101:The room needed a good vacuuming. Many guests didn't pick up after their dogs. I had to watch where I stepped.
Review 102:I liked the convenience of the location. I liked being able to bring my puppy and how welcoming everyone was.
Review 103:One burner was out on the stove. Thick ice on the walkway to our cabin from the car.
Review 104:Hot chocolate after a long day was so nice. Friendly staff. Clean quiet and a quick walk to town. Short drive to ski resort and GT national park.
Review 105:Décor is a little dated; lower bunk-bed is a little low, so you hit your head on the upper bunk when you sit up
Review 106:Free Shuttle to Jackson Hole; Free Breakfast, Location; Staff, Private Cabins
Review 107:Cowboy Village was absolutely perfect. The little cabin was exactly whatwe pictured if not better. We will be coming back again. (I have neverdone one of these reviews but, I felt I had to) 2 thumbs up!
Review 108:I do wish the pool temperature was a tad bit warmer. No other complaints.
Review 109:I like the amenities. I love having a pool and gym and bring so close to the square. I love the cabin approach to the rooms because I have a two year old and it was nice not to have to worry about her being too noisy for neighbors. Very cozy feel and perfect for our family of three, with room to spare.
Review 110:Nothing
Review 111:This is a wonderful place to stay in Jackson. The cabins are very nice, the staff is great, and they are centrally located in town. Highly recommend!
Review 112:We weren't able to park next to our cabin because of unassigned parking. We had to pack our stuff quite a way in ice. Not a big deal, but our only complaint.
Review 113:I loved having my cabin separated from the other cabins. In a hotel, rooms are next to and on top of each other. Being able to let my dogs runaround after a long car ride, without bothering our neighbors, was very comforting.
Review 114:Beds were very uncomfortable. Probably will not stay again unless they replace mattresses. Cabin was very nice to stay in but I did not get a good nights sleep.
Review 115:Location. Cozy cabin. Nice kitchenette, has refrigerator and dishwasher. Free shuttle to JHR. Nice heated pool and hot tub. Breakfast was alright, but hope they add some boiled eggs to their spread.
Review 116:The wifi was spotty at best in the cabin, but it is free, so can't hold it against them too much.
Review 117:The individual cabins were comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful and informative.
Review 118:This was a great location to the town square. You could walk anywhere in town in no time. The cabins were cute and cozy. Loved the western decor. Also loved the hot chocolate machine with three flavors in the main office.
Review 119:I wish it had a ceiling fan to help make temperature more equal throughout the cabin. It could definitely use a fart-fan in the bathroom. My poor family had to suffer because of me. :-)
Review 120:Close to everything in town. Individual cabins make it so you don't feel paranoid about the family making too much noise. Nice and warm. It was only about an hour from the southern gate to Yellowstone and only about 25 minutes from Teton National Park. We'll definitely return here next time we visit Jackson.
Review 121:LIght outside of door (porch) had to be unscrewed at night or room too bright. Inadequate shade on door to block it.
Review 122:Slick individual cabins and value off-season.
Review 123:We stayed at cowboy Village resort for my birthday, we were only in town for the night. We were traveling with our dog and I cannot say enough good things about the facility there. It was very pet friendly and the staff went out of their way to say hi to our dog, and make us feel taken care of. The cabins are an awesome way to experience travel other than the traditional hotel setting. It was super close to the Townsquare, we will be back!
