Review 1：Did not have a bad experience - and have nothing negative to comment on

Review 2：Friendly - staff high level of courtesy - very comfortable lobby - Dolmen bar and Delos coffee bar excellent. Also loved the spa and indoor pool. The hotel was warm and quiet - beds extremely comfortable. Will return again for a longer stay.

Review 3：I requested a no smoking room, but the fact that most of the rooms are smoking the fumes traveled through the air vents, and the bed linen smelt of cigarette smoke.

Review 18：Indoor pool is not big and children were jumping and screaming. Perhaps staff should tell parents who are rude, to observe the rule that is so visible before entering indoor pool. Tried to use it twice but was impossible. Food was of good quality, however if you have an allergy better warn the chef beforehand. I am allergic to pork and had a problem with dinner, as most salads had pork, beef mixed with pork etc. However, I'm sure if one warns staff from before they'll try to help you as best as possible.

Review 19：The service offered by staff is excellent ! Staff always with a smile ! Lovely outdoor pools ! Staff try to accommodate all requests. Lovely atmosphere and very spacious hotel. Food was of good quality. Will surely stay again. :) Well done for the great team work. We were a group of 7 and all of us enjoyed our stay !

Review 20：The check-in was appalling. Two surly men, one more so than the other. Why did we have to fill in forms when all the information was on our passports and booking details?My credit card was requested and the amount deducted when they suddenly realised that the bill had already been settled so had to be refunded. surely it would have mentioned this on the computer? Not a good start. The room was very cramped and the air conditioning had not been put on. The room was like an oven. Why does the AC have to go off when the key card is removed? Charge more and lets have a bit more comfort! The bathroom was tiny especially the alcove which housed the toilet. Any larger person would not have been able to squeeze in. On 2 occasions after being out all day we came back to an un-made up room. There was a panic to get it done in about 5 minutes so you can imagine--no bath clean, no toilet rolls no shower gel and of course no AC.

Review 21：The location was terrific. Near to the bus station and to all the places we know in Qawra. The pool areas were good.

Review 29：They have a travel company representative in their lobby which offerstrips around Malta. The name is Supremetravel. The service of thiscompany is disgusting!On Aug 9, 2015 we were told by the representative of the comapny that we will go to the Blue Lagoon by a large white boat (with food and drinks on board). We even asked if they sell beer and wine on the boat, and she said yes. We saw the picture of the boat. We have been to a similar one day trip to a lagoon in Greece (Santorini), and we thought that the service is similar. By the way, there we had food, drinks,two towels, 20-25 people on the whole boat. And a toilet.What was our surprise when we went to the place where the boats start. I will not comment the enormous queue in which we stood up for more than 40 minutes in the hot sun.‎ We survived anyway. But the big surprise came afterwards. The white boat we saw on the picture the day before in Dolmen Resort was supposed to go Gozo! We were offered a small wooden boat. I did not see a toilet, by the way. The boat was full! The seating places were occupied very fast, and we were supposed to stand for one hour in the open sea. I get sea sick very easily in such surcamstances.Nobody explained to us that there are no towels on this ship, and we did not have any with us.When we saw this boat, overloaded with people, and without ANY service at all, we decided to come back. We went to the guys who checked our tickets, and took part of the ticket with them. They gave us back the whole ticket. I asked them for the money we paid because we did not use their service for the reasons I described above - and we have no fault for these reasons! They said that I will get my money back from the same place where I bought the ticket.Then I went to the representaive of Supremetravel in Dolmen Resort and described the whole story and troubles we had. The lady did not tell us her name, unfortunately.

My hubby did not sleep well at nightcause it was not cool enough.I paid for Half Board but did not dine there cause dinner was limited to Menhir Rest with a fixed set menu and main course included lamb, hake, vegeterian dish and duck. We only like beef and pork and poultry so we chose to dine at a rest outside. I spoke to the staff at reception and I still had to pay for Half Board when I stayed Bed and Breakfast. I don't think that's fair. I had also informed them prior to my arrival the day before, I sent an email and even called the property but no one did anything about it.

Review 34：Would have preferred a modern room rather than an older room located on the far end of the rooms in a kind of an abandoned and old area above the casino. Air condition wasn't functioning properly I guess as the room wasn't as cool as we would regarding heatwave.

Review 40：Overall the property was very tired. There weren't enough sun loungers. We upgraded to all inclusive as it seemed quite a reasonable price, only to be treated like 3rd class citizens. Different menu, waiting ages to be served. Staff were unhelpful. Not a pleasant experience.

Review 42：The air-con was poor and we never managed to get the room nice and cool. The fridge also was not cold enough. The Internet dropped out all the time and often none at all. Malta is very crowded with tourists-not like it used to be.

The bars were good and breakfast choice good though a lot of people at the buffet. Lovely walks around the bay in both directions

Review 44：I don't usually post bad reviews but in this case I have to. We paid 160eur for 1night and the room was dirty, poorly maintained and obera decor was like a 2 star hotel of the 80s. Stay away and don't believe the photos.

Review 46：Room smelled peculiar. Baby cot delivered without sheets and without mattress, and stank like a bbq. Hallway was dark and smelled like cigarettes. We stayed at Seashellls during the same holiday, and found Dolmen to be less nice.

Review 48：The fist room I was put into was so far from the main part of the hotel it had no wifi connection at all. I moved rooms and the door in the second room to the outside didnt lock, the bath wasnt clean and there were black hairs on the floor. I feel like the hotel has a lovely atmosphere as the staff are very helpful however there are many areas which are dated and could do with refurbishment. Furthermore, I was also unsure of my safety in the first room which was at the end of the corridor past the casino. I had to walk down dark, quiet corridors with very little foot traffic and found this area of the hotel to be very uncomfortable. I would also expect that for the price and being a 4* I would normally have a kettle in my room.

The pillows are very thin, if you suffer from neck problems or are used to sleeping on a thick plumpy pillow make sure you take something with you like those travel cushions that you wear round your neck. Had a stiff neck for 3 days after our stay.

Review 72：The hotel air conditioning system was not turned on they refused to turn on the chiller so we could have comfortable air in the room. It was hot with no breeze. I understand conserving energy however when you pay to stay you pay for comfort. Although parking was good, when the hotel has an event going on they tend to allow the customers attending the event to park in the guest parking lot, leaving no room for guests who paid to park. The staff was unhelpful until we got the hotel manager involved. Kudos to him thank you for creating a parking spot for us however others may not have been as fortunate.

Review 88：Arrived late evening, checked into room. Identified following morning that it wasn't the superior twin room that was booked or paid for. Was not changed to correct room until the following day. No discount was given despite the error. This service from reception staff was unacceptable. Some of the chefs and waiters were rude and unhelpful. The bar staff were inconsistent in their service. The male bar staff members were more interested in tips than providing service. There was very little variation to the meals provided. During the 10 day stay, not one member of the dining team offered to help with providsion of a high chair, we had to go looking for it every single time.

Review 90：Our room was good 5min+ walk from reception/lifts. I have never received such worn out towels even in a hostel. We had a bath towel with a hole in it, and a beach towel which had a tear down the side. There is 30mins of free wifi once and it barely worked. The fitness centre has 6 piece of equipment all from the 1980's and only 2 piece actually work. The maids walked into our room with out knocking beforehand.
