Review 1：Very soft bed mattress, which can give some pain in a back.

Review 5：The staff are friendly and helpful. A special mention and thanks to Adam in reception. Breakfast and restaurant meals were excellent. Location is ideal for walking around the old town.

Review 7：The location right on the Vistula River and on the edge of the Old Town is exceptional. The minimalist interior design works well with the medieval-style exterior. The rooms are very comfortable and the buffet breakfast varied and delicious.

Review 8：Dirty windows,dirty lift, tawels with some strange stains,shower dirty,bed sheet very wore. Cobwebs in window. Bar should provide some snacks there was nothing like crisp, peanuts barman most of the time was at the back doing something. As 4 star hotel you should do much more

Review 10：Room very poor. Tiny window. No real view, despite advertised as with one. Room a bit grotty despite allegedly being "lux". Breakfast very average. All the money on the hotel has clearly been spent on reception area, with cost savings elsewhere.

Review 14：In hotel it is obvious that we have to pay for mini bar. On the other hand botle of water or juice that is on the table is for free. At least it should be... I've booked that room as gift for my parents and I wanted everything to be perfect.Unfortunately they have been charged for some "special glucose drink" for 25 zł (~6 Euro) per small bottle. It wasn't in mini bar but it was on the table next to bottle of water. I think that manager should focus on guests and hotel itself instead of doing buisness with some drinks dealer. Staff wasn't very helpfull in that case. Hotel restaurant closed at 22 Air Con didn't seem to work Previously I've been in Gotyk hotel and Retman hotel and I would reccomend you to choose one of them instead of Bulwar. Better quality, more friendly staff, no hidden charges. Generally you would expect more at a price of 100€ per night (including parking fee)

Review 19：No WiFi in the room can be a problem if you're travelling with a tablet. Room service can be strange at times... I ordered breakfast in the morning, ate, went out and when I came back at 6 pm the remains of my breakfast were still there. So, I had to move it outside the door where it remained for another 2 hours...

Review 20：This hotel is perfect for both leisure and business. The location is fantastic: steps away form the Vistula river and 5 min walk from the old town. The hotel itself is a very nice combination between old and new, as the building is probably 400-500 years old. The room (executive) was quite big and the bathroom was excellent. It was disappointing that I could not open the windows (to the river) in then morning when I was having breakfast. The restaurant is very good and they really do make some mean cocktails there. Recommended! Breakfast was very good, fresh and a lot of it! Outside, the hotel is surrounded by small restaurants and cafes, so if you can, do take a stroll around town. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

Review 23：There is only free WiFi in the lobby, not in the rooms, so if you want to go on the network with your Phone or Tablets, you will need to bring your own Wifi router to plug the rooms ethernet cable into. Secondly during my stay they were having problems with the WiFi router in the Lobby meaning that even there the WiFi connection was intermittent.

Completely bizarre light switch system in the room - the person who designed it must have gone completely mad - it is a puzzle which takes you time to resolve - complete nonsense. Review 42：For all additional services (which for this price for 1 room and in a 4 star hotel should be incuded in standard price) for example parking, cappuccino for breakfast you need to pay additionally. It is very easy to increase the price a lot. The SPA space is very small. No space for rest after sauna. Maximum 10 persons can be in sauna and jacuzzi area at the same time - you must be really lucky to have possibility to use it during your stay.

Review 48：A very poorly designed bedroom and bathroom, totally inadequate and unsuitable for a 4-star hotel. Furniture ugly and obstructive, lighting system chaotic, bathroom tap badly designed, toilet flush sytem operated badly, overflow in bathroom hand-basin too low. No tray in shower cubicle for soap/shampoo, no bathroom stool. Room window badly arranged, opening into the room with no means of fastening it partly open to obtain fresh air. Window should be hinged at the base, not only at the side. Insytruction sheet for operating air conditioning and lighting of little practical use. No personal safe.

Review 58：Breakfast buffet they offer is extremely below expectations. We ended up leaving hungry every morning so if you have any appreciation for food at all I'd recomend skipping it all together.The problem is not it's the variety but it's quality (cheapest available jogurt, no fresh juices, coffee undrinkable unless you order and pay extra, market quality or worse croissants, caned friuts only, stale cornflakes). Rooms are ok but nothing special. Air Con didn't seem to work. Design is rather confusing than pleasent. The hotel seems to be an adapted granary which is a nice idea but unfortunatelly the designer lacked any sense of taste. Individual elements don't match each other (wooden clay celings, white marble floors, very modern lights). They seem to be targeting organised groups rather than individual clients. The palce is rather a disgrace than a tribute to the picturesque views of the city. Generally you would expect more at a price of 100€ per night (including parking fee).

Review 60：The lighting controls- absolutely ridiculous. They are too hi tech for most people, and impossible to master after just a couple of nights. You need simple switches. You should ask a member of staff for assistance when you arrive.

Some rooms have an old original small window and might be a little dark. Suggest to upgrade or ask for a room with more view / light. Only cable internet in room. Wifi only in lobby and restaurant. Review 63：Beautiful interior design where the authentic details of the ancient building are mixed with modern elements. The hotel offers a great atmosphere and it blends in with the beatiful old town of Torun. The location is perfect with a beautiful view on the Vistula river. Furthermore: Excellent rooms, good beds, luxury bathroom, clean, friendly staff, good spa, nice breakfast, friendly price. Did not eat in the restaurant, but it appears to be reasonable.

Review 64：Some of the staff, especially those in the restaurant, struggle to communicate in English. Rooms can be better equipped e.g.with a safe, coffee making facilities, shelves in the bathroom, better ventilation, more electricity points to charge mobiles, wi-fi facilities, and a more balance choice between Polish and English programmes on television.

Breakfast was only ok.

Room that we got was placed in the corner of the hotel with view towards Vistula river. Breakfets was served in the room with a beautiful view towards the river and it was also possible to eat outside on a terrace.
