Review 1：Not the friendliest staff. No wifi in the rooms. Weird access to the rooms via a somewhat hidden elevator.

Review 2：The location, it takes literally a couple of minutes to get to the beach.

Review 3：Even though Booking claims there is parking the hotel has 8 parking spots definitely not sufficient for hotel guests , it was a problem finding parking since it was high season and Monte Gordo is very crowded. The mattresses on the bed were ridiculously uncomfortable , the mattresses need replacing. There was a huge roach in the bathroom one evening. Staff at breakfast discussed loudly about problems they were having with management this was a daily occurrence very unprofessional. .

Review 6：Location is perfect for the beach, and peace and quiet at night. Hotelstaff members were very polite and helpful. Request for ground floorroom was honored imediately. Breakfast was great with a good variety.Small patio area outside the main entrance is perfect for relaxing atnight. Parking can be hit and miss this time of year. Best to take a busor taxi to get around and leave your car parked.

Review 7：Difficult parking at times, bar prices and minor faults with furnishings and very little shelf space in bathroom. The decor although traditional in bedrooms is outdated compared to the very tasteful public areas.Dangerous bed ends, several times skinned my knees

Review 8：It's location with only short walks to the beach and bars and cafes on the sea front. A short drive to Vila Real ST Antonio.. Buffet breakfast very good.

Review 9：The covered swimming pool is great especially if you have small children. The staff were excellent when a member of our party had an accident and we had full use of a wheelchair.

Review 10：The bathrooms definitely need refurbishing, the South facing bedrooms need sunshades as it is not possible to use the terraces. The reception smelled of cat urine. Definately NOT 4 star I have stayed in better 2 stars.

Review 39：One drunk guy got in smoking and headed reception. When he saw mysyrprised face he started to shout. He was rude. The following morninghe was the receptionist. That was when I realised he was part of thestaff. I was bitten by ants and mosquitos during the night and there washair all over the bed and bath. I wouldnt expect more for this price

Review 41：The food was great. I just feel there could be more variation on the breakfast menu. For example, perhaps, boiled or poached egg , and mushrooms or cooked tomatoes some mornings rather than the same choice every morning. That is not a complaint, just a suggestion. What food we had there was good, that includes lunches too. Our Grandaughters thought you made the best Smoothies they had ever tasted,take it from me, that is a big compliment.
