Reviews for Sirehan Hotel

Review 1:1- On reservation it says room has city view but is totally wrong! The room has no little hole! It's dark all the time! This is deception :S 2- On Sunday, at 6.30 am weird sounds started just next to our room. When we walked to the sound we saw a cleaning stuff were working. We asked them to stop kindly. They did but just for 15 minutes! Then they came back 3 people :S We had no sleep after 6.30 am! 3- One of our rooms were full of moisture! Our friend couldt sleep at all... If you have respiratory problems, these rooms may be dangerous for u. 4- They have a wedding place just under the hotel. We have turbulent wedding celebrations in Turkey... They said it will finish 11.00 pm but at midnight I was still listening wedding songs and couldnt sleep! If you say u have a view, the room has to have a window! If you cant sleep in a hotel, it cannot be a hotel! If you have moisture problem, you have say it to customers. Allergic or asthma people may die cuz of moisture! If you have a noisy wedding place under my bed, you have to tell this while selling reservations! If you say the wedding will finish at 11.00 pm, you have to finish it! I stayed in many hotels, in many countries. Some were poor places. But this one was the worst one I have ever stayed. Gaziantep is a charming city, dont ruin ur holiday...

Review 2:Nothing.

Review 3:Staff was terrible and not so kind. There was a checking problem but they dont want to solve it initially. The rooms were so humidy and smelling.

Review 4:The breakfast was regular but not so good as expecting wonderful local food.

Review 5:Despite my notes and statements prior to booking, the hotel charged everything on my credit card during check in without my approval. I had made two different bookings and we needed to pay separately. There had been a lot of complications.

Review 6:rooms at the first floor(entry) was too small and there was no window to see outside. Just a door and a small window which opens to the loby.

Review 7:Dekoration was good, i like the designs. Don't forget to have a coffee at courtyard.

Review 8:No sheers for windows. Staff english could use improvement.

Review 9:Interesting historical property, good location near market. Courtyard with outdoor restaurant seating and live traditional music. Accommodating staff.

Review 10:The staff... You had always the impression to bother them. Maybe because of the language. None of them almost speak English.

Review 11:Wonderful building and very confortable room, fresh in a hot summer.

Review 12:Our room was 107. It was at the entrance floor thats why it was noisy. And this floors rooms has 1 window which opens to the lobby. People can see inside of the room. Me and my friends wear hijab so we had to close the window all the time. The air conditioner is a little different than usual. There was no remote controller, you have to get up and change it. There was no lock at the bathrooms door. We were 3 friends and they give us 2 person room with extra bed. Thats why i had to sleep on the extra bed and it was uncomfortable.

Review 13:I like the design, lobby was spacious. My mother didn't like her room, so receptionist changed it. There was no problem with the employee. I like shampoo and hair conditioner.

Review 14:The A/C could have been better.

Review 15:Historic atmosphere, luxury, very well done hotel. Great location! Recommend first floor room (with window), ground floor has no window in the rooms. Worth staying at this hotel!! Great experience!!

Review 16:Communication was really difficult. Only one receptionist spoke a little English, nobody else. They wouldn't understand and weren't able to help us with any info or get a shuttle/taxi to the airport. Also, because the receptionist on duty that day wouldn't speak a word of English, our check out was more difficult than expected.

Review 17:Attentive staff, trying their best to help despite the language barriers. Comfortable beds and rooms cleaned daily. Sirehan is centrally located in Old Town Gaziantep, easy to get around and get lost on old little streets. Close to Gaziantep Castle (5 minute walk), the Covered Bazaar, the Copper Market and to Imam Cagdas, the best and most famous restaurant for traditional Gaziantep cuisine. Bus stop right in front of the hotel if you need to go places.

Review 18:The Hotel cuisine should also include more vareities of Gaziantep Cuisine which is local and special

Review 19:I had the pleasure of staying in a historical environment

Review 20:Service is rather slow, we ordered soup and salad and we received it more than an hour later.

Review 21:I love the building and the decoration, the antique theme is my favorite.

Review 22:On this particular occasion of staying in Sirehan, the room I was given was a lot smaller then on previous occasions. It also needed some small maintenance issues looked at. Sometimes rooms are not available because it can get very busy very quickly. Not the fault of the hotel of course. Advance booking needed definitely.

Review 23:Overall excellent place to stay. Very different from other hotels in the area. Staff are very helpful, trained well, and multi lingual, the building itself is simply amazing in terms of design, build and architecture. Would definitely recommend.

Review 24:Sometimes rooms are not available because it can get very busy very quickly. Not the fault of the hotel of course. Advance booking needed definitely.

Review 25:Very well located. Excellent in terms of architecture and build. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is pleasant. I'd recommend for business or leisure. Some of the rooms are very similar to the beautiful cave hotels of Cappadocia.

Review 26:Very well located, built and designed hotel. Architecture is simply amazing. Rooms are very authentic. Comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Internet in rooms is exceptionally good. Hotel is one of the nicest period hotels I have stayed at in Gaziantep. Upgraded at no cost by very well organised team of supervisors and managers.

Review 27:Difficult to find eating establishments in the evening

Review 28:Wonderful relaxing room with all the facilities . Very quiet. We could walk to the interesting parts of the very city..great experience..reception staff friendly and helpful Situated for easy access to ring road for driving out of city

Review 29:No staff can speak English. That made our check in horrible. We spent more than half an hour to get what I exactly booked. The receptionist at night was seriously unprofessional.

Review 30:Nice historical place. Good location. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.

Review 31:Air conditioning in room is not cold enough while on maximum; as the Family room has no windows Lobby needs to be air conditioned as it was very hot during day time and even at night. Wireless was weak at the family room, I had to get out beside the outer door to get connection.

Review 32:The staff were excellent, welcoming and very helpful. They were doing all their best to help and support in any issue we might need. The hotel is quite and very comfortable. It is really a lovely hotel and very good experience to stay in that historical building. A must try experience. The hotel is very well restored while keeping the same historical touch, it also offers a comfortable finishing and furniture. Excellent decorations and interior designing with a special touch in every simple area. Everything was taken into consideration. Chapeaux There was a wedding on our first day it was a good experience to see their culture and way of celebrating. Very similar to ours. It was nice party and very well organized.

Review 33:There was a wedding going on the second night we were there, which meant it was a bit noisy until midnight.

Review 51:Nothing really

Review 52:Closeness to all types of markets .easy to get to. Pleasant staff

Review 53:I paid extra to get the room with a window, yet my room has the smallest window (you can hardly call it a window), and the receptionist was indifferent to my complaint. Don't stay at room 249, it is the only one with a small window.

Review 54:Great location, beautiful and historical architecture. Other than one receptionist, staff was very helpful. I would stay there again.

Review 55:- since the suit room was bigger than the standard rooms, the heating was not enough. The room was a little bit cold.

Review 56:- excellent location, very close to famous places such as zincirli bedesten, tahmis kahvesi, imam cagdas, castle etc. - excellent ambiance, atmosphere - suit room was very comfortable and clean. - friendly staff

Review 57:Staff is not as perfect as the hotel itself.

Review 58:It is a genuine hotel from Ottoman times with thick walls. The building itself is a history. Very well decorated authentic rooms. Also unlike many other "so called" authentic hotels, all furniture is new and comfortable. Clean rooms and hotel. In the middle of old city. Very close to Imam Cagdas, Tahmis Kahvesi and Bazaar.

Review 59:-Friendliness of the staff -Perfect renovation of an old building to meet all the requirements of present day travellers -spacious, clean and comfortable bedroom - spacious and ultra modern bathroom

Review 60:Had 2 breakfast and one light dinner. Tea should not boiled in the traditional Turkish way not through a machine. Menu item for dinner was absent the night we asked for it.

Review 61:General Manager and staff were very hospitable, took care to make us feel at home. Helped us with providing informaton about the city. Went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Hotel is an old caravanserai, the atmosphere is awsome. Location is very convenient for visiting old part of the city. Everywhere is within walking distance.

Review 62:electricity in the room very weak and not good for business people or even journalists, very darkness room.sound of the air conditioning very strong in the room and noisy .... Internet connection was very bad in my room 131...
