Reviews for BEAUMONT Maastricht

Review 1:Size of the room was just ok. Excellent bathroom facilities but bed could be bit more confortable..

Review 2:Great location, very friendly staff, beautiful interior design (making nice links to heritage of the place).. Fantastic restaurant (Harry's). Good & abundant breakfast.

Review 3:Typical business style 4**** room, bathroom wasn't clean, connecting door was thin piece of sliding wood so could not only hear my neighbour but even see if his (bed)lights were on.

Review 4:Location, breakfast, staff & restaurant. Fine hotel for staying Maastricht (as there's not much choice anyway).

Review 5:Breakfast was good but 50 bucks for 2 is quite steep.

Review 6:Location is great, walking distance to the river and the Vrijthof square, plenty of restaurants and bars around, as well as endless shopping possibilities.

Review 7:Nothing bad but if there were children running around above us you would hear them as the floors are not carpeted.

Review 8:Our check in was super efficient, we were given a list of good recommended restaurants in walking distance and were assisted in booking. Allocated a quiet room at the back. The comfort room had nespresso machine and mini bar.

Review 9:This year the smallest bedroom ever in this hotel, but for the same price. Total price including parking 275 eu is over the top.

Review 10:Top location, centre point to experience the Unique atmosphere of the city every second

Review 11:Hotel price is slightly above average for Europe however drinks in the frigobar are complimentary. Also, baby cot was provided free of charge.

Review 12:The hotel is extremely well located to all main attractions in town. Hotel staff is really helpful and courteous. We checked out within the deadline but wanted to stay a bit longer in town so the hotel extended our parking for two more hours for free.

Review 13:The shower didn't have a lot of power, probably necessary because of the green globe certificate (save water usage), but I personally like a shower that has some power to it.

Review 14:Minibar was complimentary to our stay, the bed was great, the room had curtains that managed to block out the sun great, the overall look was good.

Review 15:Rooms/decor is a bit tired/worn. Noisy (can hear people walking along corridors and in rooms above as not very well insulated). Air conditioner would go off on its own for no reason, creating additional noise.

Review 16:Great service, good location, excellent restaurant.

Review 17:Tub/shower was a challenge to get into

Review 18:Great location, easy walk from train station, as well as close to shopping and to River. Staff was helpful in directing us to live jazz. Had a wonderful weekend.

Review 19:Breakfast at €19.50 is far too expensive. The furniture in the kitchenette (table, 4 chairs) was extremely old, scratched, and worn. The counters and cabinetry in the kitchenette were very cheap and dated. It looked out of place next to the modern bed and bathroom areas.

Review 20:I received a free upgrade, the room was huge with great amenities (free minibar!!!), a wonderful bathtub, and and incredibly comfortable bed. I wanted to stay more than one night.

Review 21:Fantastic service, from check-in to check out. Great location, within view of the station, and lots of nice bars and food places right outside or within 5 minutes.

Review 22:Nothing.

Review 23:This hotel was perfectly situated for the Andre Rieu concert and close to the centre of Maastricht. All the staff were very friendly and so helpful.

Review 24:We stayed in the residence of the hotel. The room was not clean. The tray holding the paper cups and the boiler had dirt and dust on it. The bath room was small. Our room was facing a road with traffic - not quiet.

Review 25:The location is very good. A few minutes walk from the central station.

Review 26:It was worth paying the price of the hotel just for the air conditioning. It was 37 degrees outside. The offer of an ice lolly upon arrival was lovely too! Free mini bar in room also. It all added up to a very comfortable stay.

Review 27:Our shower in the annex room had a bit of mildew, but not so much that it was off-putting or more than what one would see in a normal household. The rest of the bathroom was spotless.

Review 28:Great value for the price! I would have expected to pay more for what we received. The location is excellent, especially if you arriving by train because it is just a short walk from the station. There are many nice shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Many of the historical sites and additional shopping/restaurants are just a short walk across the bridge (less than five minutes). The lobby was well designed, and I presume the rooms in the main building are as well. We stayed in the annex building across the street. While I am not positive, I think the rooms in the annex are bit more dated and not of the same design as the rooms in the main building. Even so, our room was comfortable, bright and clean--so no real complaints there. The staff was very friendly. Coffee and chilled flavoured water were available for free in the lobby, which was a nice treat during the day. I would definitely stay here again, especially given the price and location.

Review 29:Bathroom very tired and far too small. If you replaced the bath with a shower cubicle, knocked the wall between toilet and bathroom you would have a nice spacious bathroom. Bar staff were not as friendly as other staff in the hotel.

Review 30:Excellent location and great breakfast

Review 31:The staff were particularly attentive of our needs. The hotel was ideally situated in reach of Hof Vrijthof, a requirement based on our limited mobility.

Review 32:Only the noise outside during the night !

Review 33:Excellent location ! Superb dinner & breakfast ! Staff very helpful & friendly. Rather noisy during the night !

Review 34:The fact that the gourmet restaurant was fully booked on both days of mystay. My advice would be to book the restaurant well in advance, or atthe time of booking the room.

Review 35:Really friendly staff. Welcoming ice cream after checking in onextremely hot day. Stayed in the Main Residence. Spacious room with aircon and ceiling fan. Nespresso machine, complimentary bar with beers, cokes, water and soft drinks in fridge. Breakfast Buffet at additional19 euros but worth it, with choice of eggs, cold meats, cheeses, pastries and best of all, a Do It Yourself 3 Orange Juicer. Muesli, dried fruit and nuts, yogurt and choice of fresh fruit and coffee.

Review 36:Comfortable, large room with a superb large bathroom. The position couldn't be bettered, near the railway station yet only a short walk from the river and city sights. Staff most helpful.

Review 37:it is quite expensive for the location and having a rather dull decor. the walls are very thin, you could hear everything the neighbors did. I don't understand why for a double bed they provide 2 single blankets - there is a reason people request double bed.

Review 38:room spacious, the bed big and comfy and wifi signal was very good. nice touch with complimentary drinks and snacks in the fridge

Review 39:It's an old building from 1912 I believe and very well maintained. No even floors in hallways, small stairs up and down and up but that's what it is. Still very worth a stay unless you are physically challenged or carry heavy, multiple luggage, must make another trip to get'em.

Review 40:The staff there is excellent - all of them. The food is very good, ie breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Review 41:The annex rooms were definitely not 4 star level, more 3. basic and even a little shabby. The bathroom was small to the point of being claustrophobic.

Review 42:The main hotel bar and restaurant were lovely, as was the building's architecture. Complimentary mini bar was a nice touch.

Review 43:Great location with easy access. Friendly, helpful staff, fantastic breakfast. They even have recorded bird chirping so in the bathroom of the main hotel (becomes strange if you're in there awhile). The hotel has a second building across street they call a residence. You will likely stay there if you booked a good price. Simple, clean, comfortable with complimentary stuff in the fridge. Easy walk across the river to the two piazzas. Grocery store 1 block away S well. Good parking for hotel. Can't go wrong.

Review 44:- rooms in the Residence building across the street feel very outdated, and not of the same standard as the main building - Residence rooms overpriced - black mould in the bathroom grouting - breakfast very basic for price

Review 45:- good location - friendly staff - free minibar and coffee in lobby - good wifi - goods beds and airco

Review 46:When we arrived at location we were informed that the room was across the street -- we could upgrade to a more luxurious room which we did -- it was extremely small even after the upgrade to the main hotel!!! Restaurant in the hotel was completely booked for dinner and for Sunday brunch reservations prior to our arrival.

Review 47:location was good

Review 48:All was well... no dislikes :)

Review 49:Prime Location(close to everything), Friendly, smiling and helpful staff (a special mention to Joel :) ) .. Overall superb stay...

Review 50:Staff were very welcoming and helpful (especially when we had an unexpected medical issue). The location is great - central but still quiet. An easy walk from the train station. Rooms are modern and comfortable, if a bit on the small side.

Review 51:Rudest stuff I've ever come across, room noisy and impossible to sleep in due to foot steps from the room above, incredibly expensive for the amenities and service that was offered.

Review 52:Checking out

Review 53:Buildings divided and our room across street from main hotel building.

Review 54:In lovely area, close to train station, restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city centre but was very happy to be just outside the busy city area. Hotel extremely clean and safe.

Review 55:The room was like a two star hotel. The personnel at reception was impolite and was ignoring us as they were joking with Dutch guys.

Review 56:Amazing breakfast , excellent location

Review 57:Nothing. It was perfect.

Review 58:The hotel is in a great location within 5 minutes walk of the railway station. You're in the quieter part of the city, but it's only a 10 minute stroll over the river and into the city centre. The hotel itself is exquisite. We stayed in the main hotel and it was beautifully decorated and the staff were incredibly helpful and well informed. The room we stayed in had a great layout and the bathroom is like being in a modern art gallery. The restaurant in the hotel is phenomenal. It is well worth staying late on a Sunday for their brunch, it is superb. I can not wait to visit Maastricht again and will definitely be staying at the Hotel Beaumont.

Review 59:No bad experience at all

Review 60:Comfortable room, best bed ever, comfortable bath, very friendly service. Free Wifi of good quality, free mini-bar. Excellent breakfast, in-house restaurant (Harry's) is excellent too. Situated between railway station and center, 10' to walk downtown. Great stay!

Review 61:We had a really nice room with rain shower in the main building. The hotel offered a free mini bar and a lot of other nice services. The breakfast is really good but still really pricey. We are for sure coming back.

Review 62:Came across one staff member on reception who was not very helpful. Breakfast staff not particularly friendly. Shame rooms not all in same building.

Review 63:Hotel very close to station and good location to town. Room very well fitted out and spacious. Most staff were very helpful and very accommodating. Restaurant excellent.

Review 64:Staff were not particularly friendly at the reception. We paid €150 for one night. The walls in our room were dirty. The bathroom was tiny. We could hear the neighbors as if we had adjoining rooms. The rooms in this hotel should be no more than 80-99€. The pictures on booking.com look luxurious - this is far from the case.

Review 65:The wifi was not working at all and this was a down side. It is relly nice when the wifi in the hotel is great and you can use it in your phone at the room. For the price of the hotel, wifi could be good.

Review 66:I really liked the way we were received. Great staff. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Great shower products. Perfect temperature, since we could regulate it. The location of the hotel was amazingly close to the train and to the city center. Really great our stay.

Review 67:The fact that the hotel 'froze' the full cost of our accommodation because we did not check in before 6pm. When we checked in the receptionist made no mention of the this nor was it mentioned when we checked out. It took over a week for the money to be 'unlocked'. No explanation on their website or Booking.com's about when pre- authorisation applies.

Review 68:Loved the location. Hotel was immaculate. Only staff we had much interaction with were the housekeeping team who were a credit to the hotel. Mini bar was a nice touch.

Review 69:Annexe. Outdated. Staff not at all interested in substandard and dirty facilities. Cobwebs. Black mould in bathroom grouting and sealant. Eclectic and confused design. In the morning stinks of car fumes which must be a health and safety issue. When checking out the only response is that they will put it on our profile for future that we want to be in the main body of the hotel. That is not a good advert that you give off guest in conditions that are unacceptable.

Review 70:Good building. Easy location. Reasonable restaurant and emu.

Review 71:Went into bar for drink waited 10 mins but no- one came to take our order! Too busy serving in the restaurant!

Review 72:Lovely room with the bonus of complimentary mini bar - a good touch! Reception staff on check in were very helpful !

Review 73:We had a room on the other site of the Street so not in the Hotel itself: the rooms were very poorly decorated, old furniture, bath room was minimal. We paid > 140 euro and that was really too much for this room. If you book this Hotel than please book a room in the Hotel itself

Review 74:We had a great weekend and the Hotel is very centrally based. Hotel Staff is also very nice but..

Review 75:The room interiors are anonimous/contemporary and, at least in our room, the bathroom was rather small for a couple.

Review 76:The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, the staff is very kind and helpful. We booked the hotel's restaurant twice and had great food and wine. We will definitely go back.

Review 77:Furniture in the rooms looked very cheap

Review 78:Location top, building attractive, lobby nice, restaurant excellent, free water / cokes in the minibar in the room!

Review 79:The price of the rooms at the Beaumont is way too high for its mediocre quality: -wifi signal too weak -tiny windows, high up in the wall -cardboard walls (you can hear everything) -no separate stall shower -bathroom ceiling so low you hit your head when showering -noisy airco -management sends out automatic email after your stay, asking you to share complaints with them instead of posting as a review. Ironically, management chose to not respond after I sent them my complaints two weeks ago.

Review 80:-free (albeit limited) minibar -good beds

Review 81:Friendly, helpful service Most comfortable bed Great walk in shower which was a necessity for me Lots of natural light with door to private terrace

Review 82:Rooms in the residence basic and a bit like a youth hostel. No view from window other than onto back of surrounding buildings.

Review 83:Location and cleanliness , free mimi bar .

Review 84:The rooms cleaness could be better Some days only bins are taken out No floor or table dusting When i checked in ,the closet was not clean at all

Review 85:I liked the location The warmth of reception staff The instant reply and service when needed

Review 86:A bit overpriced (like all hotels in Maastricht + high city taxes), problems with wifi connection, breakfast room not big enough for all guests at the same time, long waiting time (probably only on the weekend when the hotel is full), early check out at 11.00

Review 87:Perfect location between railway station and the inner city, correct room facilities, nice breakfast.

Review 88:Construction/Renovation ongoing during the stay. It was only a minor inconvenience during the day, and there was no work in evenings and night. Breakfast was way too expensive (19 euro) Would have been acceptable at 10 euro.

Review 89:Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, great restaurant, awesome location with garage parking.

Review 90:Quite expensive room rate.

Review 91:Only 2 mins walk from Maastrict centre. The breakfast was outstanding. The evening meal was very expensive, but probably the best food we had ever tasted. Free mini bar. Bed very comfortable.

Review 92:Rooms are nice, bathrooms small but you have all you need. Hotel offers free coffee and free beverages in Mini bar. Friendly staff. Good inhouse restaurant. Nice breakfast.

Review 93:We were really impressed with the location of the hotel to downtown and the train station. The breakfast was very good with many choices. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Review 94:Nice clean friendly hotel and staff were very helpful. We loved thre meal in Harry's Bar, the best we had in any restaurant during our 8 days travelling in Europe.

Review 95:nothing

Review 96:Our second visit to Maastricht and stay at the Beaumont for concerts by Andre Rieu, the Beaumont is well situated for the railway station and the concert venue

Review 97:Pillows could be much better

Review 98:Location, close to railway station

Review 99:Very convenient and rapid checking in and out; convenience of shower and toilet being separate; very clean;good wifi connection

Review 100:The staff was a tad rude and unprofessional.

Review 101:Door to the yard, comfortable beds, functional wifi, good breakfast.

Review 102:Great location. Big room. Car parking.

Review 103:the stuff are very friendly

Review 104:very central, very nice staff, clean rooms, strong wifi. Just perfect

Review 105:expensive

Review 106:Nice location, close to central station.

Review 107:Location is very good. Close to central station.

Review 108:Very good location and nice service.

Review 109:Excellent spacious and clean room. Very good breakfast. Nice parking space.

Review 110:Standard hotel, nothing fancy or special. Outdated toilet compared to the rest of the room.

Review 111:Located in a nice neighborhood.

Review 112:Awesome bed!

Review 113:Big rooms and comfortable. What was nice is that the minibar is free.

Review 114:Room could have been serviced better - toiletries not replaced, bathmat missing one day.

Review 115:Great food and drink; friendly staff.

Review 116:Breakfast was really good and the location is great.

Review 117:None

Review 118:Perfect location and really nice character hotel with restaurant and cafe. Very keen to come again

Review 119:The bathroom is really small, no space to put make up kit or hang the towels. no ventilation in the bathroom

Review 120:Cozy boutique hotel, homy

Review 121:We enjoyed a wonderful evening meal of slow roast Lamb it was superb thank you.

Review 122:I liked the bathroom facilities and the spacious room.

Review 123:shower a little slippery

Review 124:location, rooms

Review 125:Small room. One little bottle of shampoo, one lotion, one conditioner for 2 people for 2 days!!!
