Reviews for Hotel Helgeand Wisby
Review 1:Reception closing at 4/5 PM which means you cannot use the small area around the fire place. Rooms too small to sit in, so only alternative the breakfast area. Same bread for three days at breakfast...
Review 2:Old cultural building. Good central location.
Review 3:- the hotel wasn't easy to find!! - any elevator - the expensive parking place even the hotel was yet quiet expensive enough - for this price I would expect a bigger breakfast
Review 4:- the situation close of the centre was really great, I could orientate me always at the big church - We arrived after the midnight and even the reception was yet closed, everything was prepared for us
Review 5:The cozy lounge and bar area closed for the night at 19.00. I found that disappointing as I chose the hotel partly because of these facilities. And ask for extra towels…the ones provided in the room are small and few ;)
Review 6:The room was nice and the bed comfy. Location is in a quiet area, but only a short walk from town square, restaurants and the Botanical garden.
Review 7:The bed was only a 3/4 bed and the quilt was a single so if one person moved the other was uncovered. I am used to King size in most hotels and the room we had was a good single. Other rooms had more space and larger beds.
Review 8:The old world décor was very fitting for a 14th century building with excellent en suit facilities.
Review 9:The hotel struggles sometimes with technology. The wifi usually worked in the common areas, never in the rooms. My room key had to be re-keyed daily, the TV remote needed new batteries, and a couple light bulbs were burned out (not that it mattered because in July it was only dark 11 pm to 2 am). It would have been nice to have the kitchen open a little later in the evening, but I can understand that a limited staff doesn't allow for late-night service.
Review 10:The hotel is cute, the total opposite of institutional, very friendly staff, good location (can walk to the action but don't have to listen to the action all night) and wonderful breakfast.
Review 11:Take care with the inner city one way streets of Visby
Review 12:The decor. The age of the building and location in the walled town
Review 13:Wonderful hotel, well-situated in the old town of Visby. Great medieval building, perfectly renovated. Friendly personal, great breakfast.
Review 14:The room had enough space for the two of us. The location was quiet but still central enough that it was easy to walk around the old town.
Review 15:The room was a bit small.
Review 16:Charming historic building. Well located, near town center but quiet.
Review 17:The "Little Bishops" room was quaint, cozy and wonderful! The staff was pleasant and knolegeable. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful and the spa and sauna a wonderful treat for tires muscles from walking! My fiancé and I had a wonderful time!
Review 18:Nothing. It was as I expected.
Review 19:We stayed at room #7 and it was cozy and confortable. The bathroom is clean. The breakfast was really good and the atmosphere at the brkfst room is wonderfull. Its like you were in the middle ages. The room was warm and the beds really comfortable. The personal is really kind.
Review 20:The room was a disappointment, very small (it was supposed to be alarger room, I wonder how small are the regular rooms), especially thebathroom. A little bit bigger person could not take a shower, becausethe doorway was unusually narrow. No ventilation in the bathroom, theair did not move. Hardly any storage places, no phone. The safetydeposit box did not work. The parking place was right behind the window,so the medieval atmosphere was somewhat disturbed. The building itselfwas nice, but I would not recommend the rooms!
Review 21:Good location, interesting old building, nice breakfast, nice details onthe corridors. Friendly staff.
Review 22:Shower drain was not functioning properly, so the water was all over the bathroom. There was a dirty spoon full of egg remains, that was disgusting
Review 23:Quiet hotel in convenient distance to the city center Friendly and helpful staff
Review 24:The Wifi was not working in the rooms but well that was good in asense as we could remain less connected to the internet for a coupleof days :-)
Review 25:The location of the hotel was very central and the overall stay was verycomfortable and relaxing
Review 26:very small bathroom
Review 27:Nice rooms comfy beds excellent location
Review 28:Everything
Review 29:Smallest room ever - barely enough room to walk around the small bed.
Review 30:Breakfast buffet and location
Review 31:We stayed for two nights and really have nothing to complain. This place has got it all: design, friendly personal, perfect location and good prices!
Review 32:Excellent, Friendly staff. Amazing atmosphere and very nice rooms!
