Review 1：Breakfast was a disappointment, cold beans and sausages, scrambled eggs were a stuck together mess, cold coffee, everthing else was fine...

Review 7：From the moment I arrived at reception I enjoyed my stay. All of the hotel staff were there with a real smile and a will to help. For a solo traveler on a budget it was super.

Review 11：The indoor swiming pool is closed for maintenance, but it looks like all is ok, I've seen other comments saying the same in different times. The safe in the room costs 12,5€, which should be for free.

Review 19：We are an aging couple accompanied by our mature (late 40s) child and his wife. Apartment was nicely sized, cosy and close to all local facilities. A bonus was the free on-street parking just outside the hotel.

Review 20：Very basic cooking utensils, no large chopping knife, no peeler. No kettle, no washing up sponge/dish cloth/ liquid. Noisy fridge. Early morning construction work in neighboring rooms. Air-conditioning not working, cold at night and no heat. Lack of extra bedclothes. Got bites in bed at night!!.

Review 22：I did not like being put on a room where the door of the WC does not close because of a construction mistake (room 602). I told the receptionist, the problem was known but ignored; hope they have done something about it.

Review 24：The entrance is hidden and awkward - cars parked in the "drop off" drive way. Rolling suitcases up over curbs and on rough cobblestone to get to the main lobby can be annoying. The parking garage is too expensive, but usually enough free parking on the streets near by.

Review 25：Our "cheap room" was on the sixth floor, - entire floor had been recently remodeled into small rooms, but good quality construction, comfortable double bed, and large terrace. The breakfast buffet was nice, although the same selection everyday. The location is in the middle of other apartment buildings about a 10 minute walk to the Monte Gordo beach (my favorite - soft sand & warmest water in Portugal) also 2 blocks from restaurants and shops. The outdoor pool was quite busy in the afternoons, but a nice option with windy and yellow flag beach days.

Review 75：A male front desk employee was confrontational. (To assist future guests their directions on how to find the hotel is incorrect. At the roundabout it is the third exit, not the first.)

True we did make a mistake but his customer non-service should have been far more diplomatic. He made no effort to correct his ways during our stay.

Review 79：Parking in Monte Gordo is very difficult (and police clamping/towing is rife) and the Hotel Alba only has 17 spaces. Put your name down on arrival if space is not available; it's well worth the small charge. Use of plastic lined mattress covers, whilst perhaps understandable, were very unpleasant to sleep on. No cooked food for breakfast, which we have had in other 3* Algarve hotels.

Review 80：A good 3* hotel with very spacious and well equipped (cooker, fridge, microwave) rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful (though one said there was no WiFi in public areas, which was incorrect). Good paddling/swimming pools.

Review 83：The location of the hotel is a few blocks from the beach, the insulation of the hotel should be upgraded- facing the back you can hear dogs barking at night and in other parts of the hotel the air conditioning noise form other guests can be heard during the night, there is no entertainment at the hotel and one of the front desk staff employees continues her private conversations while clients are waiting.

Review 87：On our two week trip we stayed at four different hotels and at all ofthem the beds were all single beds this seems to be the new trend inPortugal, sorry I liked the old trend of a double bed. After being on aplane all night when we arrived in Lisbon we went to the hotel and I layon the bed to rest for a little while when I went to get up I put myelbow on the bed it slid of the bed and I fell to the floor hitting thecorner of a small night table with the side of my face suffering a cutwhich bled for awhile.

Review 90：We hated having to pay 1.50 euro per bike per night to park our bicycles in a huge and entirely empty underground garage and we thought it mean and untypical to have wifi in the reception area but charge 3 euro an hour for use of it. No other hotel we stayed at on our trip made such charges. This on top of a higher than average nightly room charge to begin with. The reception staff were reasonably efficient, but not very welcoming or friendly. The room was clean but soul-less. We were pleased to move on after two nights
