Review 1：The cleanliness at the reception area. The breakfast selection was rather poor and finished before all guests could enjoy.

Review 3：The van I came was not allowed in. The driver parked the van by the roadside. I had to walk to the hotel with my baggage. Restaurant staff very unfriendly and lazy. Long wait to be served.

Review 7：Service has dropped drastically. Special instructions given were not fully read and as such, was not accomodated. Worst moment was that the handle of the hot water dispenser at the breakfast buffet was broken and was celotaped. Burnt the fingures trying to open it, It should have been replaced or atleast keep a steward there but staff were not bothered.

Review 9：The beach towels rules they have don't work, they are meant to be left in your room in the morning, but not rocket science to realise that you have usually left for the pool/beach before the cleaners arrive with them, you then have to go hunting them and no one seems to know where to get them from, ridiculous policy

Review 15：We had guests joining us for the Sri Lankan evening buffet, which was supposedly available until 9.30pm but by the time we had finished our starters at 9pm there was poor choice of main course food left. I was unable to get a sun bed by my 1st floor room as the German guests seemed to have reserved all of the sun beds nearby, no lifeguard available to sort this out for me so I eventually got a bed nearer the pool. Empty mini bar. Bedside light collapsed on to the floor. Wifi was very hit and miss.
Review 16：The beach was absolutely beautiful with a good opportunity to swim. Quick check in and drinks on arrival were welcome. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
Review 17：The staff not been able to find the room because was in the adjacent hotel-difficult to obtain adapter- water and beer arrived when lunchended!three of staff went to take but none came- staff speaks english asmany in the island but they don't understand....so don't speakonly hear what they say!

Review 21：Most of the latches, electric kettle, soap dish, dustbin handles, etc in the room are rusted. That is probably because of the humidity. However, I am sure there are solutions to that and I hope the hotel authorities take a note of this.
Review 22：The proximity to the beach is the best feature of this hotel. The hotel covers most of the length of the Koggala beach (that's if you include their sister concerns; Long Beach & Club Koggala Village). It is apparently the longest hotel in Southeast Asia. Its about 15 mins away by bus/tuk tuk from the Unawatuna beach.

Review 24：Location is the only one can be valuable. 酒店地理位置较好，有私家海滩，可以沙滩排球，但交通不便，除了突突车，人多行李多的时候，打车困难，酒店不提供额外帮助。
Review 25：The beach infront of the hotel is great and it runs for almost 2kms. There were no beach boys and it is almost a private property for all the hotels in the area.
Review 26：The rooms were modest but not clean. My pillow and bathroom towel had blood stains like the one you get once you hit a mosquito which was a major disappointment and a big turn off. After traveling for 16 hours that day and checking in at 1.30am, I was too tired and too frustrated to even call them up and address the issue. During the night, racketing sounds woke me up which was caused by the door due to the ocean winds, so I went to lock it up which failed again. The bathroom had low water pressure. In short, during my Sri Lanka visit, this was my worst experience

I think the best was that we could go from our roomdirectly to the beach, other Koggala hotels hadn't that opportunity.Food was ok, we didn't eat there at all, went to good restaurants inUnawatuna or Galle. If you want to become a cheap hotel, this is not abad opportunity!
Review 72：The room we were provided with did not fit the description of the roomwe booked online. Although we booked a 'deluxe' room, we weretold such rooms did not actually exist at the hotel. Getting in touchwith the hotel to confirm our reservation before we arrived at the hotelwas a nightmare. Very poor communication. The hotel staff were veryunderstanding of our frustration and situation and did everything theycan to compensate for us not getting our desired room.
Review 73：For the money we paid, it was not great at all. I think Booking.com hadit as a 4 star, but it is definitely at 3 star. They took ages and Imean ages to bring us a bucket of ice. We asked for a bucket and we gota beer glass of ice! The hotel needs to be renovated. Even the breakfastwas not great and niether was the dinner. For about $40 (3 of us) we hada great dinner at the 5 star Fortress hotel!! We stayed at the Novotelin Kaula Lumpur 3 days later, and we paid $30 less and boy we receivedsuch a great room and that was certainly 4 star.

Review 75：We booked 2 "deluxe rooms" and I would grade them as very low standard. We stayed in Guest Houses in Sri Lanka were the rooms were twice as good for 25% of what we payed in Koggala. The rooms were not clean, the bathrooms were in deep need of renovation with very old toilet and shower and the painting going off the walls. The matresses were thin and the AC was leaking water. In the description of the room it said that the room would have safe deposit box, minibar, hairdryer and a TV. None of that existed. They blamed booking.com for putting the wrong information. Koggala Beach Hotel also charged my creditcard twice, Once 2 weeks in advance and also on arrival. This was discovered the first day and during the 6 days of our stay they never managed to solve this problem. They told me evertything was fixed but when we were checking out and I said I would not pay for the food, and laundry services charged on the room untill they showed me a receipt that they had refounded my money, it showed that it wasn't solved at all. After 2 hours of discussing in the reception they suggested I would pay for everything and the manager would write me a letter, saying that they promised to pay my money back. Since it was 12 000 US dollar you can imagine I did not go for that solution... In order to secure any money I hade to accept a refound in Sri Lankan rupees. Not what you need when you are going home to Sweden. And I had great problem to exchange the money since Koggala never gave med a reciept for this... Koggala blamed booking.com for this too. I told them I have made several bookings via booking.com and never had these kind of problems before.
