Vacation Home Casa Dos Galegos sells fast on our site. Combining traditional architecture with a modern layout, Casa dos Galegos is a private property with two different houses, located in Galegos, in the Alto Alentejo region of Portugal, only 6.8 miles from Marvão village. Each house features a private outdoor swimming pool and a tiled stove.
One house includes a sofa bed in the living room and a double room with a private bathroom. The other includes a double room and a mezzanine with a double bed. Free WiFi access is available in both houses.
The kitchens are fully equipped and there are barbecue facilities available. Guests can prepare themselves a meal and enjoy it outdoors.
The poolside sun loungers invite guests to relax after a bicycle ride or a horse riding tour, available upon previous request and at a surcharge.
Castelo de Vide is 6.2 miles away, and the lush Portagem area is less than 10 minutes' driving from Casa dos Galegos. The Ancient Roman City of Ammaia is less than 10 minutes’ driving, in S. Salvador da Aramenha.

Review 6：While looking for our 1st holidays as a young family, with an under 1 year baby, all reviews about Casa dos Galegos reassured us this was the right choice to make. Once there, it was even better that we were expecting. The house was simply marvellous, spacious, inviting, very well appointed, mixing both typical traditional and local Alentejo features with a modern twist to it, which works really well. Pool is great (specially if you're lucky enough to get it filled with nearby spring water). Outside space is also brilliant, fully equipped BBQ and an inviting dining area with a table for 4. Once there you'll also be able to be part of Casa dos Galegos big and lovely cats family. All very friendly. There's no mobile network in the house but nothing like having a reliable WiFi connection if you really need to tell friends and family (or work colleagues) about the amazing place you're staying in. Mobile coverage is available after 1/2mins drive though. Last, but definitely not least, the owner - Daniel. It's hard to put in words with how much sympathy we were received and welcomed. Daniel is a great host, very friendly, helpful and full of surprises that make you feel really special as guests. As hospitality professionals, we can easily say that Daniel goes the extra mile to make your stay memorable. We'll be most definitely back in a near future. Perfect for summer (pool helps), but also a very good option for a little countryside break in the winter.

The mix of old and new furnishings which makes this place feel so different and well thought out. The place is absolutely immaculate. I could go on but you have to see it for yourself.
Review 8：We booked here for a rural experience and it exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect for exploring the area by car, foot, and horse. The house is typical Portuguese on the outside with a spacious interior and an ultramodern lav. The view is of a pasture with sheep and the surrounding forested mountains in the background. It is quiet and very clean. The owner is welcoming, informative, and dedicated to making guests comfortable. Lovely pool, fresh bread and pastry. We stayed several days and loved it!

Review 12：This is really a magical house in a extremely beautiful place. The house is big, luxurious and has both a swimmingpool and a great woodstove (which of the two you use depends on the weather, we were not very lucky..) Daniel has a talent in taking exceptional care of his guests, while completely respecting their privacy. We made some very beautiful walks close by and enjoyed the fabulous towns of Castelo de Vide and Marvao, both close to the house.
