Reviews for Alcobaça Hostel
Review 1:You are paying almost nothing compared to other hostels of the same quality, nothing to complain about.
Review 2:For the price you pay you get much more than in a "normal" hostel. Anyone would recomend this place.
Review 3:I suffered a lot from the hard and flimsy ikea bed. Probably othersdon't agree but I couldn't stand for any more seconds.I am afraid to say this hostel probably do not really welcome family with kids(or I should say Asian guests) as the staff is not so friendly and even suspect us STOLE her towels. And the host also asked my kids to keep super quiet. Well, it's common sense but come on, for those who stay at the budget hostel should understand you get what you pay. We were also disturbed with other guests' and kids the time we stayed there but we thought that's fine. Come on! It's a hostel not a palace hotel! Furthermore, the house is located in a small alley, but somehow it's very very noisy all night with a lot of cars and motorbikes.
Review 4:Nice house and guests can dry clothes in the backyard
Review 5:It is simple, functional, with elements of modern design. The view was incredible: brushing your teeth in the morning looking at the monastery is pure joy. The service was efficent and went without a hitch, we loved the hostel and the city to bits!
Review 6:Room was in basement so no view, small room with futon type bed so not very comfortable, but overall excellent value for money
Review 7:Very good value for money and excellent location. Basic but clean and had everything we needed for a short stay
Review 8:The house was very cold. When we turned the heater on the fuses went off. The closest store (Pingo Doce) was outside the city, we had to walk quite a bit to get there.
Review 9:We went during low season and the house was for ourselves only. Decent kitchent to cook your meals. Good wifi signal all over the place.
Review 10:we were the only guest there, if it had been full the number of toilets could be a problem. The condition of the kitchen equipment could be updated, microwave did not work properly and stove has seen better days. the press wood shelves, probably a work in progress deal, what a great open space it would be without it!
Review 11:room with a great view
Review 12:the owner was not at the house when we arrived, so we had to wait 20minutes before being given a room. Bad wifi connection.
Review 13:Confortable, clean and the owner was ready to help.
Review 14:Good for the price.
Review 15:Location, price and living room.
Review 16:The hostel is owned by a very friendly old woman. Very clean, tidy and new. Breakfast included. Very cheap. Best hostel on your portugal trip.
Review 17:I had the very nice building literally to myself. Spent a very comfortable night in this cosy little town.
Review 18:Very uncomfortable bed. Very bad wifi. Shared toilet. Do not stay here.
Review 19:The hotel is in the very city centre
Review 20:wi-fi didn't work
Review 21:very cheap, very close to the town, possibility to park
