Review 1：It's a super cosy and easy going place. So close to the ocean that you can hear it in the night. I only stayed one night, but unfortunately Espinho is not a place for me to stay longer. But this place was so nice that I thought about. I stayed in three different hostels before and evything that I missed in other hostels here you get it.

Review 2：Mold in the shower, numerous dirty dishes for breakfast. Breakfast is very simple, but ok.

Review 3：Great little room with private patio upstairs. Funky, friendly "surfer" atmosphere, but quiet at night. Just a 3 minute walk to the train that will take you into Porto within half an hour. One block from the beach. Kitchen and living room for guests. Very friendly, accomodating owners.

Review 4：It was cold at night, a little bit noisy - there is a common living room downstairs, we could hear almost every word. Small bathroom. Value for money was not the best.

Review 7：Fantastic little place. Totally different from the usual guesthouse experience. Completely chilled and friendly owners. Very much a "surfer dude" place, but even though we're not we felt very welcome. Will definitely stay there again for a real break. Price was great too. Good cold buffet breakfast inc. Kitchen facilities. All in all a great place for people who just want to do their own thing.

Review 9：Greeted by an exceptionally friendly owner made you feel welcome immidiately. And it continued during the whole stay! My home is yours, was really not just an empty phrase. Getting the room with the terrasse and you will have that extra special feeling, but even if not, breakfast is also served outside weather permitting.

Review 15：The owners were really welcoming and helpful. Everything was easy to use, neat and tidy. I was only supposed to stay one night but decided to stay another. Overall I had a good time and was close to the beach. If i had to go back id stay at the same place.

Review 16：Espinho Guesthouse is newly renovated bungalow one block from the beach (and also conveniently a block from the train station). Diogo and his friends did a great job renovating this historic house into a relaxed, beachy home away from home for travelers. There is a mix of private and dorm rooms - all very clean, comfortable and well decorated. Will definitely stay here again when I'm back in Portugal!

Review 20：The atmosphere, the staff/ owners, the decor, comfortable bed, food, convenience cannot be faulted! I'd award 6 stars (******) if I could! The rooms are brand new, fresh and stylish. The bed was supremely comfortable and immaculately clean as is the shower-room and the rest of the Guesthouse. Physically a walk of 30 seconds to a golden sandy beach with waves to surf or a lively swim and close enough for the sea to lull you asleep at night if you wish to keep the window open. Diogo and his team went way above and beyond expected ????, as I am gluten intollerant , and for all meals including breakfast he ensured that there was a glutenfree option for me. As gluten free bread (& other foods I suspect) are not readily availabe in Portugal it was more than could be expected from them but I was kept free from sicknes due to Diogo's care and Anna (their guest cook)'s due dilligence and knowledge.

We came at a low season (therefore we had to experience some insignificant cold in the bathroom) and we were the only guests at this guesthouse, so we could enjoy the whole house just for us, it was impressive. Breakfast was excellent and with lovely personal touches. Diogo is a perfect and adorable host although we could have been warned beforehand that the reception is not permanently open and we might need to call (but that is a minor detail).
