Reviews for Hotel Elisabeth
Review 1:We was expecting a little more at breakfast for 18,00 Euros per Person. Specially the the coffee wasn't the quality we expected in Belgium where you find normally good coffee also in the hotels.
Review 2:The room as absolutely nice
Review 3:mechelen as a location very poor. It's like it was closed?
Review 4:Good hotel. But really not a fan of Mechelen. Very very quiet, hard to get anything to eat after 8.30 in the evening. We wouldn't return!
Review 5:Rooms are modern and spacious. Very luxurious. I've stayed in a few hotels in Mechelen but highly recommend this hotel to anybody staying in the town. Fabulous
Review 6:Noisy rooms, dust on the floor, thick layer of dust on the floor board. I wonder when was the last time they wash the floors. There are wooden floors in the rooms, easy to clean. For sure they didn't vacuum. Don't look under the bed if have allergies.
Review 7:Location is good but confusing if driving.
Review 8:I can't think of anything I did not like really. Breakfast was not amazing but it was perfectly adequate
Review 9:I love the staff. they are really lovely and friendly and laid back. The location was great too. It was also easy to find on my way back at night as there is a huge circular rainbow on top of the building. I was travelling solo but I would definitely stay there with a partner too
Review 10:The ratio of the bedroom to the bathroom is almost 1:1.
Review 11:In the second morning we call for no cleaning of the room by house keeping. The housekeeper already left us towel at the door without us requesting.
Review 12:The pillows were very thin and soft. My neck is still aching after 2 days. When inspecting the bathroom I found some hairs of the previous guests. The mini-bar was empty. When I asked the staff about it, they said they usually only fill it up with 2 bottles of water. I expected a bit more for the price of the room.
Review 13:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the hotel was nice and it was quiet during our stay.
Review 14:toooooo expansive breakfast, a bit depressive color of the walls in the room. We had a room with windows to the street, so it was not really quiet.
Review 15:Location is really convinient - just a few steps from the Dom and other atractions!, - nice room, big bathroom, good stuff.
Review 16:The lack of staff, appears 1 staff member running front desk and restaurant area. Waited 10 minutes on a couple of nights to find a member of staff on front desk, no idea where anyone was.
Review 17:Clean rooms, nice and modern. Great wifi connection
Review 18:Breakfast is a bit expensive, but there was a fridge in my room, so I could keep my own breakfast items. Also, the television didn't give a clear image.
Review 19:Comfortable beds and nice decor. Large bathroom. Freshly renovated.
Review 20:they did not change the bed sheets they did not change the towels when i was booking i saw bath tub and there was none when i checked in, it was hard to also locate the property.
Review 21:they hard nice internet service the staffs where polite
Review 22:Is was a little noisy (both internal and also external (building construction)). Some channels on the TV are showing distorted.
Review 23:Very nice modern hotel near to the center of Mechelen, with all the facilities I like/need.
Review 24:Brilliant hotel. The staff are the best I have ever came across, always willing to help and go above and beyond. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
Review 25:The large opening windows need a security restraint so you can have them open just a small amount. Our TV didn`t work (Didn`t matter to us, but might do to others)
Review 26:Very comfortable and ultra modern hotel staff very pleasant & helpful. Rooms are good size with huge bathroom, very well appointed, even a mini fridge! Good location, near to all the sights. Really nice hotel in a nice town.
Review 27:We thought it would be a great hotel and probably it is, but don't expect the Queen sized bed adverted here. It are two beds against each other. We selected the hotel for exactly that reason and had a hard time explain that we didn't like the bed dividing us. Booking had to intervene and pay us back as the management found that they were clearly in their right. Not for romantic couples.
Review 28:It's rather new. You can smell the paint.
Review 29:Breakfast was irregular (starting hours, one day eggs & bacom simply were missing). No parking in the hotel, which in winter would be not ideal.
Review 30:New hotel, excellent bathroom, nice views over the cathedral. Quiet and well located 10 min from downtown.
Review 31:Room was cold and too large
Review 32:No staff around. Very casual approach to customer service
Review 33:Comfortable bed
Review 34:Nice hotel and rooms are ok
Review 35:Two single beds is not a double bed and frankly a ludicrous concept
Review 36:Staff are nice
Review 37:Very nice rooms great location within Mechelen.
Review 38:Excellent place to stay and the staff is very helpful. I would rate it 5 stars.
Review 39:The beds were having matress losely placed on it and was very inconvenient to move them back on top of bed.
Review 40:the room was fantastic
Review 41:Room was tiny and terrible aspect
Review 42:Modern decor
Review 43:No room service.
Review 44:Excellent location friendly staff.
Review 45:At check-out, I was (not) helped by an obnoxious, unhelpful and even insulting receptionist.
Review 46:Excellent room.
Review 47:Very coold!

Review 54:Value for money local and comfortable
Review 55:Poor overpriced breakfast
Review 56:Good service, nice looking hotel
Review 57:One big sheet covering two single beds is NOT a double bed
Review 58:Just a short walk to the city centre andere the Bright and spacious bathroom
Review 59:air conditioning was faulty, very hot room. other hotels in mechelen much better
Review 60:Great location Friendly Staff
Review 61:Clean, modern and friendly staff. Good quality breakfast. This is well suited for exploring mechelen.
Review 62:The 2 single beds tended to split during the night No hotel parking available - had to park in the street
Review 63:Friendly atmosphere Nice decor
Review 64:Quality TV channels
Review 65:Comfortable bed/pillow Design / new Enough space
Review 66:Hear too much the Street noise.
Review 67:New hotel - all equipment is new
Review 68:Because of the big bathroom the room was a tad small, but it wasn't a problem
Review 69:The view was awesome, the bathroom was huge.
Review 70:Small beds, noisy from road early morning and also from building works.
Review 71:Near square, clean.
Review 72:Brand new hotel, stylish, large rooms, huge wet room, separate room for kids making it virtually a suite. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 73:Twin room beds not comfortable for couples
Review 74:Friendly staff, close to center
Review 75:Great hotel newly refurbished, lovley staff very helpful! Was a construction site outside so we climbed the crane which was ace!
Review 76:breakfast very basic for 18 euro no value for money
Review 77:new hotelroom with clean bathroom
Review 78:price of breakfast
Review 79:location value for money
Review 80:The aircon did not work and made the room too hot during the night. The alternative was to keep the windows open which was fine apart from being attacked by the mozzies. The bathroom window could benefit from some blinds to give a little more privacy. The frosted windows are fine during the day but not adequate at night with the bathroom light on.
Review 81:The Elisabeth Hotel has an excellent location. 5 min walking distance to the town centre with plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from for a meal out. The rooms are clean and spacious (expecially the bathroom) and all you would expect is available.
Review 82:- the shower leaks at the bottom middle of the glass enclosure - if you spray water at that point, you will clearly see the leak - I would've liked a sheet and thin blanket to cover with while I slept as opposed to the very thick heavy bedspread, which was too hot
Review 83:- breakfast was very good - Tonya and Alan at front desk were very kind and helpful.
Review 84:no restaurant , no room service ?? I was tired and hungry when I arrived and had to trek around for a restaurant as a solo traveller on business i would have preferred to eat in the hotel restaurant or have room service, breakfast was ok but I think the newly opened hotel has some things to fix and there was no atmosphere , also if my room was superior room then I am not sure about a basic room
Review 85:the room and the beds were good the bathroom was very nice check in was very smooth it is obviously new and they may need to get some time to develop a little cathedral close by is stunning
Review 86:The hotel isn't finished. Lots of things in the room needed completing. The room smelled of drywalling. And the room on the second floor was very noisy. This could be a nice place, but they need to finish the job.
Review 87:Great view from the 4th floor rooms.
Review 88:Being a new hotel there are obviously teething problems to sort out. Check out took 15 minutes which is not possible when many people will check out at the same time.
Review 89:The decor of the room is excellent, beautiful new hotel.
Review 90:The building of the hotel is not complete. We were a party of three staying in one room and at first were only given a room with one bed. The staff that was on duty, the front desk clerk and night security, ran from room to room looking for a triple room. The room we were given was fine but not completely finished. Wires hanging where a tv should be, no lamp shade, open ceiling tile in the bathroom where the vent should be, hardware ready to be installed on the side. Our room was not cleaned after our first first day and we asked for fresh towels and for our garbage to be emptied. We were told by the gentleman at the front desk that there were no towels and they wouldn't be getting any until the next day. I asked if he would please look in some of the unoccupied rooms for fresh towels. He left the front desk and we left for our day thinking he would put the towels in our room and have housekeeping visit. Upon our return he seemed perturbed that we had left without waiting for our towels. He left again, and finally found us some clean towels. The garbage was not emptied so we did it ourselves. The room was made up finally on our last day. There also seemed to be some confusion at check out and the staff was not able to give us a receipt, which we were told will be emailed to us.
Review 91:Brand new hotel so the rooms are clean and fresh. "Most" of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has potential to be great, but there seemed to be some confusion regarding many things and if it's going to be great they have to train some of the staff members better.
Review 92:Noise in the room from the street and from hotel corridor
Review 93:Amazing big bathroom with very nice shower; Big room Helpful and friendly receptionists
Review 94:no shampoo in shower bottle
Review 95:great personal service
