Review 2：Two travel weary motorcyclists turn up after dark at Quinta do marvao, and yet we were given a warm welcome and everything we could possibly need. Then we woke up in the morning to THAT VIEW... Wonderful place.

And best of all, the owner Irene, is the most interesting, kind and enchanting person you can find! Thank you Irene! We will come back!

Review 7：We rented the studio (adjacent to the owner's house) for one night during our road trip in Portugal and Spain. Marvao itself is a remote village; therefore the chalet is at a good distance from a highway. We arrived late in the day and we were a little bit drawn back by what we perceived as isolation. Until we met Irene. She made us feel at ease at once with her warmth and hospitality. She showed us the room, gave a little background of the place and how they ended up there, she even offered us the other chalet available, which was a couple of yards away, a more spacious and private place. Because it was almost dark, she offered to drive ahead of us in the village to show us good places to dine. Later on we met Jorj, who was very pleasant and informative. By the end of the day we felt as if we were friends. The studio has everything needed, is very clean, comfortable. The fresh air helped us sleep like babies and recharge our batteries for the next day trip. I have to mention the breakfast served on the patio right outside our room by Irene and the friendly lady that helps around. Again, impeccable clean table clothes, delicious food and lots of servility. When I booked this accommodation, I was looking for an authentic Portuguese place to get a taste of rural Portugal. I believe I found it in Irene and Jorj's house. This is the perfect place to forget about the hustle and bustle and abandon yourself in peace and nature.

Review 9：The owners are very helpful and super friendly. They have a dog and few cats that. The dog takes tou to a walk if you like to ;). The house has a very nice terrace and few hanging "beds". If you have a car this is a recommendable place. And also take the horse ride that is in the neighborhood.

Review 11：Set in the most beautiful area with views of the Serra da Estrela mts, the valley, close to the Marvão fortress and convenient 15 min drive to also cute town of Castela do Vida and Portagem near the Caballos do Marvão and the horse riding facilities. The room was so quaint, using the existing materials of wood and stone to update the original schoolhouse structure from history. The room has one wall with actual stone boulders set in. The small kitchenette is adequately equipped and the sitting area homey and comfortable. The continental breakfast which was delivered in the morning at our requested time was well worth the 5€ per person, with hot coffee carafe, fresh orange juice, breads, homemade jams, high quality cheese and ham. A favorite part was communing with the 4 resident horses across the way in this natural setting of fantastic grounding energy that bathed the senses. Truly a great deal in the middle of winter!

Review 28：The grounds and the rooms are wonderful, and the region itself is beautiful. But the real gems of this place are the owners. They went out of their way to welcome us, and chatted with us over wine the evening we arrived. They even made sure we knew how to get to our next place. Lovely people!

Review 30：Jorge and Irene warmly welcome you to their home in a magnificent rustic setting with easy access to Marvao and Castelo de Vide. Adjacent to our room was a Roman road which we explored, discovering a circular Celtic dwelling, a true immersion in the layers of history in this region. Our gracious hosts familiarized us with the area and the fascinating restoration of their home. A deep breath to enjoy the beauty and peaceful countryside.

Review 32：None of the previous comments are exaggerated. We had an extremely kind and personal treatment by the host Jorge. He gave us great tips about places to visit and restaurants to eat at, including dishes to order. Marvelous view over the valley and great hand build quinta with original details and characteristics! We had a very romantic stay there and will definitely go back (and stay more than the 2 days we did now). .

Review 34：Warming welcome by George who related us many amusing and interesting stories eg. about region Alenteju. If you're going in a group of 4 you can choose perfectly design cottage with a great view. The two rooms are also very cosy and each piece of interior are put in purpose. Really comfortable bed, fantastic and silent surroundings. For breakfast, among others, freshly squeezed carrot, orange and lemon juice!

Written instructions left in the house would be helpful. The breakfast was just so-so, not very interesting. The shower was very small and the water temp kept changing.
