Review 1：Slightly noisy on Saturday night being a pub. Ask for a quiet room like we did and with aircon running drowned out any loud music from below.
Review 2：Rooms recently renovated. Air con. Clean in rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Walking distance to everywhere in Devonport CBD.
Review 3：Banging of doors till late in evening but realise that's not hotels fault and also something else that isn't hotels fault was Devonport council taking down Xmas decorations at 6 am in morning with noisy machinery.

Review 5：Spirit of Tas boat is very loud, audible from room, as is street below if street sweepers or motorbikes below, but as we needed a wake up call to get up to go on the boat it was handy for us.

Review 7：I didn't like the fact that I had to write down every detail of my credit card and then my home address and phone number. I was assured the form would be destroyed after our stay, but I still feel uneasy. It's a lot of personal information on one piece of unofficial looking paper.
Review 8：The room was very clean. The location was excellent, being very close to the shops and also to the Spirit of Tasmania. The food in the restaurant was lovely.
Review 9：Not bad, just the description of the location was very misleading - 500m from ferry? Yes, literally across the water but 4.5km by car! We found that amusing. Also, didn't like checking in at a Pokie venue. Kind of tacky... These are small gripes, overall the room was good.

Review 13：Reaching the hotel from the Spirit of Tasmania is not easy or cheap - considering it's directly across the river! Finding a cab was difficult - not the fault of the hotel.

Review 16：Close to the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry (Over looks the docks), in the heart of Devonport. Rooms are recently refurbished- clean, tidy and well maintained. Room has a mini fridge. Restaurant at the hotel has amazing food!!!

Review 33：The carpet in the room was disgusting The light in the bathroom wouldn't work When we booked the room there was no notice about the bar underneath the room and the band/loud music which was on till two or three in the morning. The receptionist told us about this, when we arrived, but then it was to late to change anything.

Review 45：Was allocated an unrenovated room which was freezing, no heating and power points kept dropping out.Bed was nice and comfy, bathroom was awful, no chair to sit in to watch TV. So many terrible things to put up with. I complained and was upgraded to a renovated room the following night which was palatial in comparison. No breakfast service.

Review 53：The great location make me found it very easily. It's quiet near to redline bus stop (from hobart to devonport). I needed to walk about 100m only. It's also quiet near with very terminal, about 10 minutes by taxi (cost me $12)
Review 54：There is little parking and our hire car was scratched (not badly) during the night; it's the hotel carpark. Bizarrely, there is no sign for the Formby Hotel; it's really the Central Inn. A woman in a nearby room screamed in rage at the top of her voice, shouting obscenities, until 4am so we had little sleep.
Review 55：The staff were friendly but they are all in the hotel downstairs and leave when it closes. The accommodation is old and basic. You put the door key in a box on the stairs when you leave.
