Review 1：The hotel is a special place within the village of St. Antonio das Areias. Having all the luxury, comfort and the great owners and staff around feels like coming home. We again were treated like kings.
Review 2：We were warmly welcomed into this small hotel in a rural area of Portugal. We had the good fortune to meet and talk with the owner who was a lovely lady. She gave us history for her hotel, the town, and the area.
Review 3：No restaurant open in the hotel when we stayed. That meant we had to drive to find somewhere to eat. Had we known this we would not have booked this hotel.
Review 4：The staff were helpful and the room was lovely. It is very close to the fabulous old hilltop fortress and town of Marvao.
Review 5：Excellent welcome and introduction to the points of interest in the area. The staff were efficient and friendly. The decoration and maintenance of the public areas of hotel made for a very interesting stay. The provision of a common seating area made for a more pleasant time with our friends when the weather did not cooperate.

Review 14：We tried to cancel the booking due to illness but were a few hours outside the cancellation time. The hotel refused to cancel without charge and referred us to Booking.com. Booking.com tried to contact the hotel to explain but were told (by the manager) that the manager was not available to make a decision. An email was then sent but the hotel chose to ignore it. We went anyway. There were supposed to be tea and coffee making facilities in the room but there were not. The beds were supposed to be made up as a king size but were in fact just twins pushed together. On leaving we found that the credit card used to guarantee the booking had been charged for both rooms! This is not acceptable as cards that guarantee the booking are not necessarily the ones wanted to be used during the trip. We had to pay for both rooms, instead of each of the couples paying for their own room. Breakfast was ok, but the orange juice was tinned and diluted!!!
