Review 2：Room was large with good wifi (once sorted). Kettle and fridge in room and central location in city. Close to restaurants and convenience store.

Review 3：The pillows are really thin. I know this sounds a little bit picky but it's about the only thing wrong with this hotel. Otherwise, it's great.

Review 16：The restaurant has limited choices and the chef can do better next time. The wifi is a bit on and off, not that it mattered to us, it's due to its geographic location on the island. The solar heaters were not working during our stay so the shower stayed cold.

Review 19：Weird shower curtain that opens straight to the room with a glass LOL.... No gym. People were noisy outside when they were smoking beside our room. Orbit or the site that I used said I wasn't going to be charged for the extra bed but the hotel still ended up charging me extra charge per night, i guess the site or hotel should Clarify this.

Review 28：This was my second stay at the Hotel Essencia. The staff is so helpful and I have made some friends. Jeuz is such a cool guy and great manager. Ernie, Arnold and Grace are so very nice, along with many others. And overall the hotel is wonderful. Best place in Dumaguete. Also, the Cafe Essencia is a classy restaurant. Great food/service. Looking forward to visiting there again.

Review 29：the value for money, though breakfast was not that great. The location is strategically located, we usually walk home after dinner in the boulevard area, safely! My only complain is there water heater, since they are using solar water heater, we have to dispose off gallons of water before the hot water came out, especially now it's the wet season, hardly have long sun light. It's a waste of water and money. To sum it up, we are happy with our booking with this hotel.

Review 30：WiFi was horrid! However IT staff gave me a hardwired connection and all was solved. Each room is capable of a wired connection. Ask. Mobile signal could sometimes be iffy with Smart.

Review 121：The room I got was on the street side of the hotel. There was construction going on across th street early in the morning so it was a bit noisy. A room at the back of the hotel would have been much quieter.

Review 122：This was a very nice hotel. It is a unique building. The room was very clean. The bathroom was bright and well stocked with the essential toiletries. All of the stuff were very friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to shopping, the boulevard by the sea and clubs. If I go back to Dumaguete I will be stating at this hotel again.

Review 123：The foyer was not air conditioned making it very warm and humid when waiting there. Dinner was very nice but breakfast was just average with not much selection. There was no real 'bar' area. The wifi was available and free but it was intermittent in my room. It worked fine in the foyer though.
