Reviews for Wide Horizons Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Would have preferred a DVD player in the room rather than in the lounge area.

Review 2:Owners were very friendly and accommodating. The cooked breakfast was delicious and fresh. The view from the garden was amazing.

Review 3:Clean, quiet, and private, and most important comfortable beds! Easy to town, winery's restaurants, With a car Young middle age couple traveling with a elderly mom The cottage worked very well

Review 4:The internet didn't really work in the cottage (i don't think the signal is strong enough to make it over from the main building).

Review 5:The 2 bed courage was a great option. Quiet location (you would need a car). A nice space - great big doors for a bright and airy apace (with fly screens).

Review 6:After trying to pick between two properties in the area, I chose this one because of the reviews and it paid off. The wonderful personal touches make you feel like a real VIP. The cottage is beautiful and the spa bath wonderfully decadent. The views from the chesterfield couch looking out to the garden, bush and mountains just spectacular. I will probably be back again and recommend to anyone looking for a lovely private experience. You'll be well looked after.

Review 7:The 4 poster bed was quite noisy, you couldn't even sit on it or turn over in bed without it making a huge noise. Understand it's very old & very beautiful, but not good when you're trying to sleep & your partner turns over & it makes a noise.

Review 8:Hosts very pleasant, beautiful surroundings, fantastic breakfast.

Review 9:My wife and I loved this place and will definitely look to stay here again when next in the Yarra Valley. We stayed here 1 night over the weekend while we roamed the Yarra Valley for the weekend. It's quaint, quiet and serene. Robyn and Gary were lovely hosts. The rooms are terrific and come with ensuite. Breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend.

Review 10:The staff were exceptional, friendly and professional. The surrounding garden, views and proximity to town are excellent. Afternoon tea on arrival was heaven.

Review 11:The cleanliness, delicious breakfast, comfort are by far the best I have experienced in a long time. Very strongly recommend the two bedroom cottage. Will definitely be back. Thanks

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Although we normally stay in period bed and breakfast properties, Wide Horizons provided the atmosphere with modern convenience. Lovely helpful hosts with a choice of hot breakfasts every morning.

Review 14:Only had a one night stay due to our itinerary.!

Review 15:Peaceful location, welcoming hosts, very comfortable bed, spacious room overlooking a fabulous garden. Excellent breakfast ! Short drive to restaurants, wineries and Healesville sanctuary.

Review 16:We loved the garden, the friendliness of our hosts, the high standard of the accommodation - even to having a separate sitting area and the beautiful breakfast.

Review 17:Warm and very welcoming hospitality. Stunning property and everything you could possible need for a perfect stay as well as an amazing breakfast menu. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Review 18:Didn't stay long enough - lots more in the region I would have enjoyed doing.

Review 19:Wonderfully friendly hosts. Fantastic Breakfasts (included). Cleanest place ever. Beautiful gardens, great views, tranquil

Review 20:Thankyou Gary and Robyn for your hospitality, place was amazing, clean, comfortable and very peaceful. Wish we stayed there for a longer period of time. We still definitely be back in the future! Highly Recommended Stay

Review 21:Fabulous hospitality. Elegant and beautifully appointed rooms. Great location and breakfast was a treat. Cannot recommend highly enough. Just the best B&B!!!

Review 22:We had difficulty enjoying the balcony as the mozzies ate us alive, even through a few coats of repellant! Not much the proprietors can do about that, though. Not walking distance from the main strip of Healesville, but that wasn't a problem for us. It was the perfect size for my sister and I, but might be just a little squishy for two couples?

Review 23:My sister and I stayed in the cottage, and it was everything we wanted! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The small building has all modern appointments, but has been furnished with beautiful antiques, art works, and hand crafts. We had beautiful provisions provided in the fridge for us to make our own breakfasts. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented, and I suspect the herbs came from the owners' garden. Bonus points also for the divine loose leaf tea and gorgeous cookies. The owners themselves were very friendly, although as the cottage is self-contained we only interacted with them occasionally. The beds were very comfortable, the spa bath was ENORMOUS, and the gas fireplace was delightful. It's "off the beaten track" without being remote. It was so peaceful with no road noise; the worst we copped was possums playing on the roof at night. Would absolutely stay here again.

Review 24:Seems like the building and business were on the market. Would hate to lose the atmosphere to new ownership!

Review 25:The more remote location was a plus for us in that we went into town for activity and had a quiet home to return to. Owners were great. They had the perfect mix of interaction with us while allowing us to have privacy.

Review 26:Just because I was feeling lazy cooking and cleaning.

Review 27:Just a gorgeous cottage that we found relaxing with all luxuries. Delicious breakfast and yummy cookies.

Review 28:We were in the area for wedding. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating & friendly. The breakfast was amazing, hot and home made but just brilliant. Bed was very comfortable .

Review 29:Nothing, it was exceptional.

Review 30:Great location in a beautiful, peaceful setting easily accessible from the main road. The cottage is so well appointed and tastefully decorated, it really is a home away from home. Wonderful touches, like home made biscuits and quality tea and coffee plus the fridge is well stocked with breakfast provisions. I would love to stay here again and can highly recommend it.

Review 31:Driving back in the rain in the dark! But nothing to do with Wide Horizons. Can't think of anything I disliked about the lovely accommodation.

Review 32:Peaceful cottage in a lovely setting. Beautiful rooms, lots of space, elegant decor, warm fireplace. Fantastic breakfast to cook! The hosts were lovely and friendly, too. I wish I could've stayed longer!

Review 33:Didnt quite understand why a B & B would require me to cook my own breakfast although all ingredients were provided. We would definitely return despite this.

Review 34:Lovely garden and forest setting, scrupulously clean cottage, privacy, close but not visible access to good restaurants and vineyards and shopping, personalised decor, wooden floors don't creak even in dead of night when you walk across them:), seperate toilet was blessing given there were four adults, well stocked kitchen and fridge.

Review 35:Forgot to mention to hosts that our shower was a bit dodgy, although our friends ,also staying ,said theirs was fine. So prob just a maintenance issue.

Review 36:Hosts were lovely, very helpful in finding things to do and see. Breakfast was lovely. Afternoon tea in the pergola was very pleasant. Home away from home. Lovely place to stay.

Review 37:We enjoyed every aspect of Wide Horizons B&B and would recommend to anyone.

Review 38:Our hosts were very warm & welcoming with a fresh afternoon tea taken in the beautiful gardens.. The comfort, space & quietness was just what we were looking for, with great access to the local wine region & other local attractions. The breakfast was really good and we are sure to return.
