Review 1：Great place to stop over on route to the Eyre Peninsula to break the journey. Lovely facilities - neat, clean and close to the local shopping centre. The gorgeous swimming pool was refreshingly welcome in the incredible heat! Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Review 2：They do have hot water. But I don't know why the water from shower tap is not hot enough.

Review 6：Friendly and helpful staff. I was a total ditz when I couldn't locate the remote for the aircon, called a staff member after hours to help me & he just pointed to the wall next to my head where the remote was hanging. Embarassing! But the man just laughed it off & turned it on for me. Very grateful.

Review 11：When we arrived the room was partially prepared. Carpets had not been vacuumed and a request for additional towels had not been completed. Once these issues were reported to Reception, they were resolved immediately. Staff were apologetic and pleasant.

Review 17：As we were on a budget I had brought food to cook on the bbq. Having seen the state of the bbq facilities at the pool I didn't want to risk my kids health using it. We therefore had to purchase takeaway and this took away money I had set aside for other activities. Not happy

Review 20：What's not to like. We were upgraded to a renovated room and when I went to buy a bag of ice at the bottle shop I was told ' no charge as you're a guest'. The hotel is next to a large shopping centre and near sporting grounds. The hotel also as a nice looking pool. My wife and I could not fault the hotel or staff. Great value for $120 a night. This also included a continental breakfast for two.

Review 21：I didnt have a bad experience at all ..It was just unfortunate that we could not afford to Dine In at the restaurant as I felt it was a little bit too pricey when you are staying for more than a night.

Review 22：Westland was the ideal location for my son and I yo stay as it was extremely close to the Hockey fields as we were there for 3 nights for Regional Hockey ...It was fantastic that it was in walking distance to the shopping centre as we needed ice every morning ..Its also within walking distance to fast food outlets such as Pizza Hut , Hungry Jacks , KFC and McDonalds which made it a little cheaper for us at dinner time given the length of our stay ... The Reception ladies were very welcoming and very helfpful in helping with directions . I was extremely impressed with the price given that breakfast was included and it was great to haveva drive thru with take away chicken shop combined

Review 41：Extremely bright light outside room kept me awake all night all week. No way to turn it off. Hear every noise from next rooms including toilet and shower waking me up first thing every morning. Hear local yahoo's coming from pub making a loud noise every night in car park. Shower head blocked. Little water comes out of shower. Have to stand in precise position in shower to rinse yourself. One of the worst places I have every stayed. Am regular to Whyalla and will not stay here again.

The menu was varied but overpriced. Wish that housekeeping would pay detailed attention to things like grouting in the shower and bathroom - looked a tad grotty.

Review 49：We were directed to the gaming lounge (but given no directions) to check in, but were then castigated by a staff member for taking a child into the lounge. we had to check in at a bar. Not appropriate for a family with young children. Bathroom door was warped and wouldn't close.

Review 51：We arrived for breakfast at 9.20 am, having slept late after travelling all day the day prior, and talking into the evening. Most of the breakfast was already packed away! The staff looked dismayed! They put a few things back. When asked if a larger coffee mug could be gotten staff said sorry, these are the only cups served with breakfast. One sister eats first, then coffee,but they turned off the coffee machine at exactly 9.30, telling us, breakfast ends at 9.30. One staff member realised our dissatisfaction and took time away from the clean up to empathise and relate about the number of sisters she has, and how talking can distract from time keeping.

Review 52：Size of room. Wi fi, comfort. Dinner in restaurant was really excellent. Staff were welcoming and accommodating.it was perfect for three sisters travelling to a place where they could travel a similar amount of Klms from different directions and spend time in each other's company + stay in touch with family with I tech. Well done!!!

Review 61：room s were dusty ,,,window sills and lamps had dust on them ,,,we took a photo of a biscuit wrapper that lay in the hallway of rooms ,,,we had to as we had a bet how long it would take for staff to pick it up ,,it never happened ,,,I was in room 14 and when I went to use microwave I was shocked to find the state it was in ,,,,I was discusted ,,as it was cheap I cant really complain but as I paid for two rooms for two nights I was disappointed to find that my coffee milk and sugar as well as cereral were not replaced for my second morning there....thanking you michael

Review 63：No night life. Nothing to do there when it gets dark except play poker machines. Boring. Our room was lit up at night due to people moving around and setting off security lights. ( there was a function on)

Review 64：Good food, good company, great to see happy people working here. The place was clean. Staff were more than happy to help. I would stay there again (but not in the same room.)

Review 65：Had my elderly mother with me and they gave us an upstairs room...difficult for her to get up and down. Housemaids need to move beds to vacuum as I found peanuts under the beds also windows needed cleaning and window sills dusting. Daily service was not of a good standard, my granddaughters bed was not straightened once during our stay. for what we were charged it was far from value for money.

Review 66：Only issue is if you are in the palms site and want to use the pool you have to cross the road back to the main facility but otherwise a great stay.

Touring around Whyalla was an eye opener as most visits we simply drove on through to Cowell. Alleyway through to dining rooms need review as it is a rubbish and storage area. Also this was locked at night which meant we had to walk around the the front of the building in the street to get to our room.

Located very close to major shopping center. Pool clean and well maintained. Recommend this hotel for a weekender. Will stay there again.
